Slowly Falling into His Love Trap
Chapter 345: Have Kids, Have, Have, Have!
Looking at Caden Lockwood with his domineering demeanor, Evelyn Morgan had the urge to pinch his handsome face.
But if she actually did that, he’d probably hit her!
"Isn’t it said that women are the bosses at home?" Evelyn pouted, "Then you have to listen to me, right? If you upset me, I’ll make you kneel on the remote control and not change the channel, sit on a durian sofa and not complain it hurts, send you to sleep on the sofa alone at midnight, and confiscate your bank card and stash money!"
Looking at Evelyn’s lips moving, Caden softly said, "Those are things only a wife would do."
Evelyn instinctively replied, "Aren’t I your wife?"
After speaking, her face turned red again.
Clenching her teeth, she questioned herself in her heart: Why did I dig a hole for myself again?
Not hearing Caden’s response, Evelyn became a bit anxious.
She frowned, and asked unhappily in a low voice, "Why? Are you unwilling to admit it?"
"You are my wife," Caden affirmed, "You are the first, and also the last."
Evelyn sighed, "It’s not even the last yet! And you’re speaking so confidently? Liar!"
But, the smile on her lips was more brilliant than ever before.
"There are many things I can’t be sure of, but I can be sure of this," Caden’s voice was not loud, but it lingered in Evelyn’s ears, filled with sincerity, seriousness, and indulgence.
Hearing Caden’s words, Evelyn’s heart was filled to the brim.
"Uncle," Evelyn couldn’t help but grab the fabric of Caden’s shirt on his chest, "Well... can I ask you a few questions?"
"You can ask and see," Caden replied softly.
Evelyn sighed helplessly.
Anyway, Caden always answered her questions sparingly.
"Actually, I know, you’re not the kind of person who doesn’t keep his word," Evelyn said meekly, not daring to look at Caden, "So... the things you said before about being together with me for a lifetime, or that I’m your last wife, things like that, you can’t go back on them!"
Although promises are inherently unreliable, if there are no promises at all, it seems even less reliable.
Hearing Evelyn’s words, a deep emotion flashed in Caden’s eyes.
He knew she clearly didn’t trust him.
"Hmm," he gave a cold single-word response.
"Also, you saw it today, the party situation, I really couldn’t do much about it. Being used by dogs as stepping stones won’t happen again," her voice was very small.
After pausing, she continued, "Today, I offended The Clayton Family, and in the future, I might offend more powerful people, I..."
"The wealthier people are, the more refined they are, and the more they respect laborers," Caden interrupted Evelyn, "So, you don’t have to worry about offending more powerful people."
Evelyn couldn’t help but smile and continued, "Then... if I become the real Mrs. Lockwood, it seems... I can’t give you a child anytime soon. I’m only twenty now, still in college! If I got pregnant, I couldn’t possibly go to school with a big belly, I’d be looked at like a monkey in a zoo."
Caden didn’t reply, just looked down at Evelyn with a complex expression.
Unable to read Caden’s expression, Evelyn felt guilty and anxious.
"If... if you really want a child right away... it’s... it’s not impossible to discuss!" Evelyn easily compromised, "I’m... just... asking. Don’t take it to heart."
After waiting for a while, she still didn’t get a response.
Evelyn was even more anxious: "Pfft! That question just now doesn’t count! Whenever you want to have one is fine! As long as I conceive, then it’s birth, birth, birth!"
