"Hey, Brother Ming is really spoiling that woman now, huh."

Through the vine’s perspective, Su Qing saw two people squatting and talking.

’Brother Ming!’

Su Qing narrowed her eyes. It seemed the two men from last time had said the same thing—something about a "Brother Ming." ’Looks like I’m on the right track,’ she thought. ’Those two from before are part of the same group as these guys.’

Su Qing didn’t make any rash moves. Instead, she listened quietly to their conversation.

"Right? I’d say that woman’s got a few tricks up her sleeve. Just a few days ago, Brother Ming didn’t think much of her, but now he treats her like a treasure."

The two men chatted and laughed for a while before turning to leave.

The camp had over thirty tents of various sizes. ’No wonder the police couldn’t find them.’ This place was deep within Baihua Mountain, surrounded by dense jungle. She had to admit, they had chosen a very tricky location. Moreover, Su Qing spotted lookouts posted in the surrounding area. If anyone approached, they would have more than enough time to evacuate.

Brother Ming shoved Su Tao hard. She lost her footing, twisted her ankle, and fell to the ground. She couldn’t help but cry out, rubbing her ankle as she looked up at Brother Ming with a wronged expression.

Brother Ming turned and saw her expression, and the rage in his heart flared even hotter. He strode forward and kicked Su Tao hard twice. "Damn it, you bitch, and you have the nerve to act wronged? What’s wrong with me shoving you? Are you untouchable? If it wasn’t for you, would Brother Sheng have yelled at me like that? You damn jinx, you bring me nothing but bad luck!"

Still fuming, Brother Ming kicked her twice more, making Su Tao cry out in pain. "Brother Ming, I was wrong! I was wrong! I’ll never do it again!"

"Hmph." Brother Ming shot Su Tao a vicious glare before sitting back down. He demanded, "Didn’t you say that Su Qing lives alone? How come several guys went and couldn’t even handle her? They even got bitten back."

"She does live alone," Su Tao said pitifully. After a moment’s thought, she pursed her lips and added, "I know! Brother Ming, that damn girl must have help. Think about it, how could one girl possibly overpower several grown men?"

"It’s useless whatever you ’know’ now. The men have already been arrested," Brother Ming said irritably. He then violently swept everything off the nearby table onto the floor. He glanced at Su Tao, making her heart tremble with fear.

"Brother Ming, Brother Sheng is calling for you," someone shouted from outside the tent just then.

"I know!" Brother Ming yelled back before turning to Su Tao. "You just stay put and behave. Don’t go wandering around. If Brother Sheng sees you and decides to deal with you, I can’t save you."

Although he was furious with Su Tao, Brother Ming clearly still had some feelings for her.

Su Tao nodded, shrinking back. She was also scared now. After all, if they traced this incident back to its source, she would be the first to be blamed.

Su Qing heard every word of Brother Ming and Su Tao’s conversation. She snorted coldly. ’So it really was Su Tao’s doing. If I don’t send her on her way, I’d really be letting myself down.’

After another glance at Su Tao, Su Qing had the vine follow Brother Ming. It soon arrived at Brother Sheng’s tent. While controlling the vine to meticulously sweep an area several miles in radius, Su Qing eavesdropped on Brother Ming and Brother Sheng’s conversation.

"Brother Sheng, you were looking for me?" After entering the tent, Brother Ming sat down on a nearby stool and asked.

"Yeah." Lingering anger was still visible on Brother Sheng’s face. "What are your thoughts on this matter?"

"This whole thing... I was reckless. I admit it," Brother Ming said with a grim expression.

"Hmph. Risking the big picture for a woman. You’ve really made something of yourself," Brother Sheng said, fuming.

"Who could’ve known that Su Qing was so capable? Several guys went, and they still couldn’t do anything to her." Brother Ming was still hung up on this. "But what do we do now? If the cops find us, we’ll be in big trouble."

"The cops will definitely step up their search for us this time." Brother Sheng knew that hiding in the mountains like this wasn’t a sustainable solution. After all, they had entered the country illegally. If they were actually caught by the police, it would cause a lot of trouble for First Master and Second Master. "Here’s the plan.
