Sold for 300, I Fight Back with Superpowers
Chapter 154: Restraint
"ROAR—" The tiger roared at Su Qing again, its body tensed as it watched her with a wary and ferocious gaze.
Su Qing raised an eyebrow. ’Looks like talking isn’t an option,’ she thought. ’This tiger seems quite hostile toward me.’
Before Su Qing could think of what to say next, the tiger suddenly sprang up and lunged at her.
Su Qing had no intention of clashing with the tiger head-on. She dodged nimbly to the side, and the tiger’s lunge hit nothing but air.
Seeing its attack miss again, the tiger let out another furious roar.
The continuous roars echoed through the mountains, startling birds into flight from the forest with a great rustling of wings.
"So fierce," Su Qing chuckled, casually squatting down on the ground.
Seeing that Su Qing was not only unfazed but actually looked completely relaxed and at ease, the tiger grew even more enraged. It roared again and prepared to lunge at her once more.
But this time, the tiger couldn’t pounce. Creeping vines from the ground had wrapped tightly around its two hind paws, rendering them completely immobile.
The tiger had never expected this. It thrashed its front paws wildly, roaring as it tried to break free from the vines’ grasp. However, no matter how hard it struggled, its hind paws remained hopelessly ensnared, unable to budge in the slightest.
"ROAR—" A hint of panic tinged the tiger’s roar. It struggled while keeping a wary eye on Su Qing, as if afraid she would launch a sneak attack.
In its frantic struggle, the tiger turned its head, intending to bite through the vines on its hind paws. But before it could, its front paws were also bound tight by vines. Now, the tiger was completely immobilized.
The tiger thrashed in a panicked frenzy, its roars shaking the heavens. All the while, it kept trying to intimidate Su Qing, as if warning her not to come any closer.
Her eyes crinkling in a smile, Su Qing stood up and walked toward the tiger.
Seeing Su Qing approach, the tiger grew more frantic, afraid she was going to harm it. Its roars became more urgent. As Su Qing got closer and closer, it bared its fangs and snapped at her.
Su Qing laughed and dodged, raising an eyebrow. "My, what a fierce one."
As she spoke, Su Qing retrieved a piece of wild boar meat from her personal space and dangled it in front of the tiger.
Because Su Qing possessed the Wood Ability, she could absorb the Spiritual Energy from the forest. Her space was now bound to her, so naturally, it also contained some of that Spiritual Energy. Moreover, due to her Wood Element superpower, this energy was exceptionally pure.
Naturally, any food stored in her space would inevitably be infused with this Spiritual Energy, making it superior to ordinary food. Not only was it more delicious, but it also had the effect of alleviating physical discomfort. While it couldn’t cure diseases, eating these ingredients was highly beneficial for the body.
Animals, especially those living in remote, deep mountain forests like this one, have a much keener sense of smell and perception than humans. The moment Su Qing took out the piece of wild boar meat, the tiger’s eyes locked onto it.
Seeing Su Qing produce a piece of wild boar meat from thin air, the tiger was visibly stunned for a moment, but its attention was quickly captivated by the prize in her hand.
Su Qing waved the meat in front of it, and the tiger’s eyes remained glued to her hand, its gaze following her every move. The sight made Su Qing unable to hold back a laugh.
Smiling, Su Qing moved the piece of wild boar meat a little closer to the tiger’s mouth. The tiger eagerly snapped at it.
Unfortunately, it bit nothing but air.
Su Qing pulled the meat further away from the tiger and asked with a grin, "Want a bite?"
"ROAR!" Frustrated at not getting the meat, the tiger roared angrily at Su Qing.
Su Qing raised an eyebrow. "If you keep being so grumpy, there won’t be any meat for you."
With a flick of her hand, Su Qing made the wild boar meat disappear back into her space.
Seeing the meat vanish again, the tiger grew even more confused. It stared blankly at Su Qing’s empty hand, constantly sniffing the tempting aroma still lingering in the air. It struggled irritably, as if trying to figure out just where Su Qing had put the meat.
With a thought from Su Qing, the wild boar meat reappeared in her hand. The tiger was visibly startled. Its ears shot up, and it jerked its head back before tilting it to stare at the meat in her hand.
Su Qing made the meat disappear into her space again. The tiger’s eyes went wide, and it tilted its head from side to side, staring fixedly at her hand.
And so, Su Qing made the wild boar meat appear and disappear, again and again.
The tiger finally understood that only Su Qing could produce the meat. It also realized that she meant it no harm. The great beast began to relax, simply staring intently at Su Qing’s hand. Its cries became much gentler, and its hostility seemed to have diminished significantly.
Seeing that the tiger’s hostility had lessened, Su Qing tossed the piece of wild boar meat to it. The tiger’s eyes lit up as it caught the meat in its mouth, swallowing it down before continuing to stare at Su Qing with a covetous gaze.
Su Qing tilted her head and took out another piece of wild boar meat. The tiger immediately let out a couple of soft growls that almost sounded like it was whining playfully.
Su Qing snapped her fingers. Instantly, the vines binding the tiger’s limbs silently receded. The tiger froze for a moment, and upon realizing it was free, it immediately lunged at Su Qing. In its mind, if this strange creature could produce such delicious meat, then eating her would mean it could have this delicious meat forever.
However, just as the tiger reached her, it was once again ensnared by thick vines. This time, even its mouth was sealed shut. It couldn’t even think about biting someone, let alone open its jaw.
"WHIMPER... WHIMPER..." Unable to roar, the tiger struggled with all its might, trying to break free. But it suddenly felt the plants wrapped around it tightening, filling it with a sense of danger. "WHIMPER... WHIMPER..."
Su Qing chuckled. "Looks like you’re not going to behave. Still want to eat me, hmm?"
’So all that meekness it showed me just now was an act.’ But even if the tiger was pretending to be docile, Su Qing wasn’t afraid. Her Wood Ability was in its element in this forest. What’s more, her Wood Ability superpower had already reached the Third Level, allowing her to control plants from a distance. In other words, the twenty-meter radius around her was her Domain. As long as there were plants within this Domain, no creature or object could harm her.
