Sovereign of the Ashes
Chapter 1797: Golden Rock Worlds
Before his vacation ended, Sein made another trip to Portman World to meet Klopp.
The last time Sein had visited, this medium-sized plane had been bustling with activity both within and beyond its borders.
Numerous Magus Civilization combat groups had gathered in this star domain. Many were legions from Titan World.
Still, Portman World was noticeably quieter now.
Although Magus World space fortresses and war airships of various types still occasionally passed through this star domain, the scale was nowhere near what it had been more than two centuries ago.
“The last time I came here, I had even considered extending my vacation. But with everything that happened to Leena, I suppose it’s better to forget that.” Sein sighed as he arrived at the outer reaches of Portman World.
As for Klopp’s decision to revoke the rewards from Sein’s later missions, Sein did not feel even the slightest resentment. If anything, he was only grateful.
After all, Leena really had caused considerable damage to the Magus Civilization legions, and Jerry, the Rank Four mage, had indeed been severely injured.
Even if Klopp wanted to show Sein special favor, he could not make it too obvious. After all, the Magus Civilization was a world that valued fairness and the alliance’s rules.
By revoking Sein’s combat rewards, Klopp was showing the other victims of the Leena incident that the matter had not gone unanswered.
In any case, Sein still received the Sacred Fruit, and that was enough for him.
He was not exactly short on ordinary alliance resources.
His trip to Portman World was mainly to thank Klopp in person for the help he had given him last time.
Given Sein’s life level and the combat missions he was about to undertake, there was usually no need for Klopp’s personal approval.
After all, important missions that specifically required Sein were not common.
The Nexon defection mission he completed last time had been an exceptionally rare special assignment.
Klopp was a busy man, yet he still made time to meet Sein amidst his packed schedule.
Their meeting lasted less than ten sandglasses in total.
They did not discuss anything substantial.
Sein thanked Klopp for his help, and the knight overlord casually asked how he had spent his nearly two-century break and whether he had decided which warzone to head to next.
When Sein said he would most likely return to the battlefront where his grandmaster was stationed, Klopp simply nodded.
He only advised Sein to visit other warzones when possible, so he could gain more experience fighting alongside powerhouses from allied planes.
After bidding Klopp farewell and leaving the command center, Sein could not help marveling inwardly at how approachable the knight was. At least in their interactions, Sein rarely felt the crushing pressure one would expect from an overlord-level being.

After returning from his break, the first thing Sein did was send messages to his mentor and grandmaster.
Lorianne had already gone back to the frontlines after refining the Golden Silver Potions.
Of the six top-tier potions, Sein kept two for himself and insisted that the remaining four be given to Feylis and the others.
Feylis and the others had originally intended to pay Sein a large sum of magicoins. After all, neither the Golden Apple nor the Sacred Fruit was something most could ever hope to obtain.
But there was no way Sein could ask his grandmaster and the other elders of the faction for money.
It took both his firm refusal and Lorianne’s persuasion to finally make them give up on paying him.
Rather than money, Sein would have preferred that Feylis, Gregory, and the others simply remember him if they came across any valuable items during the Clash of Civilizations in the future.
When Feylis stepped in to rescue Leena from the interstellar prison, Sein had not tried to pay her either.
Sometimes, a favor was worth far more than magicoins.
Not long after Sein informed Feylis and the others that his vacation had ended, the frontlines sent over his new combat assignment.
His latest deployment order sent him directly to BF037 Star Domain, the sector mainly overseen by Feylis.
This small star domain had once been under the Gallant Federation’s control. Feylis’ forces had broken through it years earlier, but they had yet to fully occupy it.
BF037 Star Domain was not far from the Aquaria Star Domain or the Shadowbat Star Domain. In terms of coordinates, it lay along the outer edge of the frontline between the Magus Civilization and the Gallant Federation.
Clearly, after assessing the situation on the front lines, Grandmaster Feylis had ultimately decided against heading to Arid Expanse World. Instead, she chose to shift her operations to other star domains.
As for the Arid Expanse Worlds, anyone who wanted to go was free to do so. Sein had heard that, aside from a portion of the Magus World legions, most of the alliance forces advancing into that medium-sized star domain currently came from the Rosen Dynasty Civilization.
Given the strength of the Rosen Dynasty remnants, they certainly had the confidence to test themselves against Grand Apocalypse World across the Arid Expanse Worlds.
Since he had already decided to head to BF037 Star Domain, Sein naturally gathered intelligence on the situation there before leaving Magus World.
According to the intelligence he collected, along with the frontline reports sent back by Lorianne, BF037 Star Domain was one of the key battle zones where the Gallant Federation had established especially strong defenses.
Although this star domain did not contain particularly valuable resources, its location near the Golden Rock Worlds made it strategically important.
The Gallant Federation had invested enormous effort into holding BF037 firmly in its grasp and preventing forces like Feylis’ from fully occupying it.
The Golden Rock Worlds, themselves a medium-sized star domain, mainly served as a heavy industrial base for the Gallant Federation along this border front.
At present, the Gallant Federation was fighting the Magus Civilization fiercely across all major star domain battlefields. Naturally, its main heavy industrial bases were located in its home star domain.
But sending newly manufactured or repaired warships from the home star domain to distant battlefields came with much greater transportation costs and serious delays.
That problem was made even worse by the Magus Civilization’s deliberate efforts to sabotage the Gallant Federation’s spatial nodes and teleportation wormholes.
Because of that, the existence of the Golden Rock Worlds provided the Gallant Federation’s frontline forces in this sector with a vital logistics and transit hub.
Across the broader theater where Sein’s grandmaster and the others were operating, there were currently two major focal points in the war between the Magus Civilization and the Gallant Federation.
The first was the Arid Expanse Worlds, and the second was the Golden Rock Worlds.
It was also through Lorianne’s transmissions that Sein learned White Stella and her legions were currently fighting around the Golden Rock Worlds as well.
However, unlike Feylis and the others, who were stationed in a specific star domain, the sea race forces were operating in another smaller star domain with a stronger hydro elemental environment.
