Sovereign of the Ashes
Chapter 1811: Warming Up and Removing Restraints
The native creatures of the Arid Expanse Worlds showed very little will to fight.
Sein could not understand why the creatures of the Grand Apocalypse World had the confidence to send such troops to the frontlines.
The enemy forces collapsed almost as soon as contact was made, allowing the Magus Civilization legions under Sein’s command to capture the two low-level planes almost effortlessly.
Aside from the rather meager spoils, this interplanar war went even more smoothly than expected.
After the battles ended, the Rosen Dynasty’s legions were left behind to clean up the battlefield, while Sein led the Divine Tower of Ashes Army onward toward the frontlines.
Sein’s forces had always been stationed on battlefields not far from the main legions led by Feylis.
The Norvexian forces led by Celloza were also advancing toward the main battlefield where Sein and his forces were located.
From his grandmaster, Sein learned that the legions under Celloza’s command were actually the key forces in the coming battles across the Arid Expanse Worlds.
In fact, its role was even more important than that of the Rosen Dynasty’s allied legions.

Kazaskey was one of the most famous powerhouses in the Grand Apocalypse World.
Aside from the lofty Apocalypse World overlords, there were three other powerhouses whose names were known far and wide within this large-sized world.
Kazaskey, Porsalino, and Grazen... all of whom possessed peak Rank Six combat power!
Among the three, Kazaskey was the strongest and stood as their leader.
This deployment to the Arid Expanse Worlds had come directly from a Rank Seven Apocalypse World overlord.
To the outsiders, the Grand Apocalypse World seemed unwilling to give up its interests in this medium-sized star domain. But in truth, the Apocalypse World overlord had actually said something very different to Kazaskey.
“We can’t allow the war to spread into the Apocalypse Star Domain. At present, the Gallant Federation is already at a major disadvantage in its war against the Magus Civilization. If the battlefield shifts into our home star domain, no one can say how many of us will be displaced, or how much destruction will follow.”
“Only by keeping the main battlefield outside our home star domain do we have any hope of turning the situation around. Otherwise, if the Magus Civilization’s legions invade our home star domain directly, then even if I personally stand guard there, the outcome will still be grim,” he concluded grimly.
Although the Apocalypse World overlord’s expression had been grave, as one of his trusted confidants, Kazaskey managed to read between the lines.
Before setting out, he asked, “What exactly do you mean by turning the situation around?”
The overlord had nothing to hide from Kazaskey. He had always intended to groom him as his successor.
After a brief pause, the overlord lowered his voice and said, “It seems that not long ago, a certain special faction made contact with the Gallant Federation’s high command.”
He continued, “I don’t know where this faction came from, nor do I know what it discussed with the Gallant Federation... But judging from certain signs, it may have a significant impact on the situation on the frontlines.”
After learning this much from the Apocalypse World Overlord, Kazaskey grew even more determined to carry out his mission of defending the Arid Expanse Worlds.
His love for his home civilization surpassed even his regard for his own life.
More importantly, he possessed the absolute strength to face any invaders head-on!
Unless an overlord-level being appeared, no Rank Six or lower opponent had any real chance against him.

In the thirty-seventh year of the war in the Arid Expanse Worlds, the Magus Civilization suffered its first major defeat.
The Rank Six alliance creature known as the Fire Spirit fell in battle.
In addition, more than five million Magus Civilization troops were wiped out by the enemy’s legions.
Sein remembered this Rank Six alliance creature clearly.
The Fire Spirit had been active in the earlier subspace war, the Shadowbat Star Domain War, and the Golden Rock Worlds War.
It was also a Rank Six pyro elemental being, and because its elemental affinity was highly compatible with Sein’s own, the two had always worked together exceptionally well.
Yet now, this familiar Rank Six alliance creature had been cut down on the battlefield by a peak Rank Six being from the Grand Apocalypse World. It had not even managed to hold out until other Magus Civilization powerhouses arrived.
The Apocalypse World powerhouse who killed the Fire Spirit was Kazaskey, the figure most trusted by their Rank Seven overlord.
What surprised many was that Kazaskey was also a peak Rank Six being who wielded pyro elemental law.
Defeating a powerhouse who commanded the same elemental power only further proved the ferocity of the strongest being under Grand Apocalypse World’s overlord.
After killing the Fire Spirit and destroying the surrounding legions, this peak Rank Six Apocalypse World powerhouse went on to appear across multiple battlefields, defeating or scattering numerous legions led by the Magus Civilization powerhouses.
Kazaskey injured many allies that Sein knew well—the God of Decay, the Phantom Crow King, and a Rank Six knight.
Fortunately, the Fire Spirit’s fall had taught the Magus Civilization’s powerhouses not to try to tough it out against Kazaskey.
Even when they could not defeat him, they were at least still able to retreat with their lives.
After all, the Magus Civilization held a clear advantage on this battlefield within the star domain. No matter how powerful the peak Rank Six creature named Kazaskey might be, he could never stand alone against the Magus Civilization Army, which numbered in the millions, or even tens of millions.
The Fire Spirit’s fall was not without cause. This pyro elemental alliance creature had far too violent a temper, a flaw that seemed common among pyro elemental beings.
Even when it was clearly outmatched, it still refused to retreat and insisted on fighting to the death. It was practically courting death.
The Magus Civilization reacted swiftly to the sudden appearance of this powerful Grand Apocalypse World legion.
Sein had expected his grandmaster to take the field personally, or perhaps for several Rosen Dynasty legions to be sent in to deal with the threat.
What he had not expected was that the forces ultimately dispatched to the central battlefield of the Arid Expanse World, where they would fight almost entirely on their own, were the Norvexian legions led by Celloza.
In terms of sheer troop numbers, Celloza’s forces held no advantage over the Apocalypse World legions led by Kazaskey.
But when it came to individual strength, Grandmaster Feylis clearly had enormous confidence in him.
The clash between Celloza and Kazaskey soon erupted at the heart of the Arid Expanse Worlds.
Over the span of just a few short years, the two fought no fewer than a hundred times.
Each clash between them turned the surrounding elemental energies into a violent maelstrom.
Even on distant battlefields scattered across the starry expanse, far from where they fought, the aftershocks of the clash between these two peak Rank Six beings could still be felt.
As one of the Magus Alliance’s renowned powerhouses, Celloza did not disappoint the Magus Civilization legions fighting on the surrounding battlefields.
Against Kazaskey, who wielded pyro elemental laws, Celloza showed no sign of weakness. On the contrary, he met him head-on and held his ground.
His performance greatly restored the morale of the Magus Civilization legions, whose spirits had been shaken by Kazaskey’s earlier victories.
“Do you think this is enough to defeat me, lapdog of the Magus Civilization?!” Kazaskey roared as surging crimson molten flames engulfed his right fist.
“Do you think this is all I have?” Celloza replied calmly, arms crossed over his chest. He stood before his opponent arrogantly, dressed in a white priestly robe and draped in a deep purple cloak.
Facing the intimidating peak Rank Six Apocalypse powerhouse before him, whose body was gradually being swallowed by molten flames, Celloza only sneered in contempt before tossing his white hat into the air.
The Norvexian hat, which looked much like a turban, landed in a corner of the battlefield with a dull thud.
A crater the size of a small basin instantly formed where it fell.
Next came his cloak, robe, sash, boots...
Thud! Thud! Thud!
With every piece he removed, Celloza’s aura rose sharply.
By the time he had cast off all of his “restraints”, the figure standing at the center of the battlefield was a peak Rank Six powerhouse clad in nothing but a light purple combat suit!
During the war in the Golden Rock Worlds, Sein had thought he had already witnessed the full extent of Celloza’s combat power, especially when he tore apart a Rank Six giant mobile suit with his bare hands.
But clearly, Celloza had not gone all out back then.
Cracking his neck and rolling his shoulders, Celloza stretched his body. He sneered again, his sharp white fangs fully on display.
“I’m done warming up. Let’s go another round.”
Sensing the aura radiating from Celloza, which had already far surpassed his own, Kazaskey fell silent.
He looked like a volcano with molten fury boiling inside him.
