Chapter 131: The Supernatural Ranks

"Am I willing to venture into a cave to take a couple pictures of drawings inside?"

White asked sarcastically.

"Of course, I am."

"You do know this is no ordinary cave, right?"

Commander Zoltan said, sitting back down.

"Do you even know what an Alpha Werewolf looks like?"

he asked, crossing his hands as he looked at White amusedly.

At first, White wanted to say yes, but then he paused.

Did he really know what a Werewolf looked like?

His only encounter with Werewolves had been in his past life.

Right now, to Commander Zoltan and anyone else, he was still just an eighteen-year-old boy and should have zero idea about what the Supernatural realms looked like, talk less of the peak of the realm.

"Big dogs that stand on both their feet. I’ve seen them on online clips."

he responded, and the man chuckled.

"That’s a good one. But no, clips don’t do justice to them. The majority of that is censored."

"Let me inform you well..."

he said, and in the next moment, a tiny button-like tech appeared in his palm, which shone a projection into the sky between them.

"Firstly, there are a lot of Supernatural Creatures."

"The more common ones, and those used to scare children, are the Vampire and Werewolf."

"But there are far more than that. Werewolves, Banshees, Draugrs, Vampires, Wendigos, Shadow Walkers, Titans, to name a few."

"And for that reason, the Ranking system was created, based on the Creature’s recorded destruction capacity."

he explained.

"Three Ranks: Alphanomalous, Deltadoid, and Oiralord, from strongest, which are the Alphanomalous Supernaturals, to the weakest, which are the Oiralord creatures."

"Oiralord are the weakest, and the largest in number amongst the Supernatural. They are creatures with low destructive power, like a feral Ghoul."

The holograph changed, depicting a hunched creature with pale skin stretched over protruding bones, its elongated arms dragging across the ground while rows of jagged teeth snapped hungrily. Its hollow eyes burned with mindless hunger.

"A Cursed Spirit."

The holograph shifted again, revealing a translucent humanoid figure wrapped in dark mist, its face twisted in endless agony as black tendrils seeped from its body. The air around it seemed to warp with dread.

"And a Rabid Wolfkin."

The image changed once more, showing a beastly humanoid covered in matted fur, standing on bent legs with claws digging into the floor. Foam dripped from its snarling jaws as bloodshot eyes darted wildly in uncontrollable rage.

"By weak, I do not mean ordinary humans can take them on. The only Awakeners to stand a chance against them are Meteor Rank Awakeners."

he explained, and White exhaled quietly.

It was unfair.

The power disparity was too unfair.

One had to know, to the Supernatural Realm, these creatures were like ordinary humans compared to Awakeners.

Yet even their weakest would still require a Meteor Ranked human to stand a chance against them.

That was how high the disparity of Supernatural strength was compared to Humans at the base level.

"The second ranked are the Deltadoid, and they are highly lethal predators, like a Draugr..."

The holograph changed, revealing a tall corpse clad in cracked ancient armor. Rotting flesh clung to its body, while blue flames burned within its hollow eye sockets. A rusted sword rested in its hand.

"Banshees."

The image depicted was that of a lady in white hospital-like garments, her features hidden behind long dark hair that dragged down to her feet. Her limbs were bent at unnatural angles, and her mouth was stretched wide open.

"Wendigos."

This one was a towering skeletal creature wrapped in pale grey skin, its ribs visible beneath the flesh. Antler-like horns rose from its skull, while long claws hung from its thin arms. Its maw was unnaturally wide, lined with rows of sharp teeth.

"They possess incredibly destructive power capable of taking over an entire town, and in massive numbers, they could take over a human city."

"To combat a Deltadoid, we’d need to deploy multiple Meteor Ranked Awakeners, and only a Cosmic Rank Awakener can really combat them head-on."

That was the stage after Meteor Rank: Cosmic Rank.

"And finally are the Alphanomalous Supernaturals."

"Let me guess..."

White said.

"Werewolves, Vampires, Shadow Walkers, Titans?"

he asked.

"No."

Commander Zoltan said, and the holograph changed.

"I’m talking of Vampire Lords."

The image depicted a pale noble figure dressed in regal black garments, a crimson-lined cape draped over broad shoulders. Sharp features, crimson eyes, and long fangs gave it an air of cold authority.

"Primordial Werewolf..."

The holograph shifted into a massive wolf-like humanoid covered in dense black fur. Towering muscles bulged beneath its frame, while curved claws and glowing amber eyes radiated savage dominance.

"Elder Wendigos."

The image changed into a towering gaunt creature with grey skin stretched tightly over its skeletal frame. Vast antlers rose from its skull, and its elongated limbs ended in hooked claws.

"Draugr King."

A colossal corpse in dark shattered armor appeared next, a jagged crown resting upon its head. Blue flames burned within its hollow sockets, while an enormous battle axe rested at its side.

"Banshee Queen."

The holograph revealed a tall woman in flowing white robes, her face hidden beneath endless black hair. A tarnished crown sat upon her head, and long clawed fingers hung at her sides.

"Nuclear Titans..."

The final image was that of a gigantic humanoid creature with cracked stone-like skin glowing from within with molten green light. Massive limbs, a broad frame, and jagged spines along its back made it resemble a walking catastrophe.

"These are calamity-class beings, and when even just one appears, Humanity Ascension will mobilize entire forces just to take them down."

"We’ve had numerous cases of entire cities getting flattened to dust because two Alphanomalous Creatures were engaging in battle."

he said, and it reminded White of a memory from the future.

His city, Dongard City, would be flattened to dust due to two Alphanomalous Creatures battling.

The time was due in one year and six months from now.

"Wait... I don’t get it."
