"So much for being a discreet jet."

White mused with an eye roll before ordering,

"Externalize map to true location."

"Map externalized. Please choose a recipient tool."

it said as rows of panels appeared before White, whose hands reached out, tapping on one.

"Runic Map Watch chosen."

"Activation complete."

it said, and in the next moment, a runic watch appeared in White’s right hand.

"WARNING! POWERFUL WAVE OF SUPERNATURAL ENERGY ABOUT TO MAKE CONTACT IN 10 SECONDS."

"Undergo extraction protocol at the third second."

White ordered.

"Please step into the extraction line."

it said, and a line appeared to the side in the shape of a box.

White walked over there and stood, listening to the countdown.

When it reached the third second, the line gave way, and White was thrown down.

Barely a second later, a large meter-sized ball smashed into the jet, leading to a massive explosion that cleared the skies for a mile.

Silence followed for a while before two creatures appeared at the site of the explosion in the sky.

They were two green-skinned creatures, with tiny arms and legs along with bulging stomachs.

Their faces held only a large mouth with smoke drizzling out, while two bat-like wings flapped behind them.

"A human ship."

one of them said in a crunchy voice.

"But no humans."

the other completed.

"They must died in Magma Ball Attack."

the first added, turning down at the ground.

There was nothing but absolute calm, and in the end, they flew away, disappearing into the distance.

---

"Idiots."

White mused, sitting down on a branch while looking at both of them flying off into the distance through the tiny space between the large dark leaves that hid him from view.

He turned away, tapping on his right wrist, and out came a holograph that held a map.

There were two dots, one red and one green.

The green was White, and the red was where he ought to be.

It’s not that far off.

White mused, turning his gaze to the northwest direction.

His ship might have been destroyed, but he had never relied on it at all in the first place.

It was a discreet ship, meaning all of its technology was focused on being able to travel as silently as possible.

There was close to zero defense, and that was why it had been instantly destroyed from a simple attack by those creatures.

It was also why he had asked for the option of the map being able to appear in the shape of a watch, which had now come in handy.

The area before him spanned miles upon miles with nothing but huge trees covered in pitch-black bark, and the ground was the same colour—dark, with a shadowy mist drifting off it.

Their jungle was a clear difference from a Human jungle, a death aura lingering everywhere as if cursed by nature.

Something told White that if he had been in his normal human body, his lungs would be hurting from breathing in this dark misty air, but in this body, he didn’t feel anything at all.

In fact, he felt a bit like he was home.

Giving one last look at the map, he resumed his journey, venturing deeper and deeper into Supernatural territory and farther away from Humanity.

---

SSS.

A sound that should have been imperceptible to the ears of a human echoed out.

VROOOOM!

The air shook as a dark hand snapped to the side, grabbing onto something that had lunged out from the dark tree branches.

SCREEECH!

A powerful screech rang out but was quickly silenced when the hand folded in.

SPLAAAAT!

The creature’s head exploded, the rest of the body—which was a twelve-meter-long thick dark rope—dropping to the ground like an anaconda.

It was a dark anaconda, killed with a simple forceful squeeze of White’s hand.

He wiggled his hand, shaking off the blood and brain matter before continuing into the distance.

GROWWWWL!

He had barely walked for thirty minutes before a subdued growl reached him from three trees by his side, wide enough to stop White from seeing anything.

But that didn’t stop his sight.

He blinked, and in that moment of closing his eyes, his senses easily pervaded the entire space, making out the shape of a creature sneaking up on four legs.

Its muscular movement as it moved, its beating heart, its twitching ears, its sniffing nose—

Everything White could easily feel in that simple blink, though he continued like he couldn’t hear.

Two minutes later, and all at once—

ROAAAAAR!

A powerful roar reached him as a pitch-black panther-like creature raced forward with inhuman speed from behind White, but he never turned.

RIIIIP!

The sound of something ripping echoed out as a massive black wing ripped out of White’s spine, its end tearing through the pouncing panther, which was easily cleaved into two halves.

Its body fell to the ground, intestines and organs following next, as the dark wing wiggled once before coiling back into White’s body and disappearing.

Even after walking for twelve hours straight, there was no day, neither was there night, in the Supernatural Realm.

But White had finally broken out of the dark jungle.

Before him was a mountainous expanse, littered with dark crumbling rocks.

VROOOOOOOOOM!

A powerful black wind, that would have easily been taken as an omen of bad things back in the Human Realm, blew through the space.

It was something powerful enough to form a raging tsunami of wind that revolved, pulling in rocks and flinging them at such speed that they reduced mountains to further rubble that came crashing to the ground, only for the scene to repeat itself again and again.

White took it all in at once before turning away to look at his runic watch.

He could see that the green mark was in the exact same place as the red, which meant one thing.

"It should be around here."

he mused, taking a couple of steps forward, when all of a sudden, he took a step and the ground in a radius of twenty meters around him suddenly sank in, sending him flying down into an abyss.

"A trap!?"
