SSS-Rank Extraction: I Can Absorb Prefixes from Gods
Chapter 37: B
Amon didn’t stop killing in the slightest. Rather, he was like a grim reaper, sweeping through the battlefield with brutal efficiency.
Amon’s next targets were the three assassins lurking in the shadows.
Due to his speed, which far exceeded theirs, he quickly locked onto a nearby shadow.
Boom!
A sword pierced through the ground.
A damage number flashed above the assassin’s head.
-30
Along with the damage number, the shadow dispersed, revealing a pale-faced young man.
Bang!
The young man was pierced once more by the sword, dying instantly.
The other shadows had already retreated as far from the fight as they could.
However, they coincidentally fell into the hands of the weaker beasts lurking nearby.
An Iron Fang Wolf pounced on one of the shadows.

Damage numbers flashed repeatedly above his head as the Iron Fang Wolf tore through his defenses, dragging him out of the shadows and killing him instantly.
Normally, assassins possessed the Stealth skill, which they used to hide within shadows. However, once they were disrupted, the skill was instantly deactivated. Hence the reason they had been so easily locked onto and killed.
The remaining assassin was even more unlucky.
A branch snapped against the shadowy spot where he hid, and the moment he materialized, a snake coiled around his waist, tightening with terrifying force before splitting him in two.
Bang!
The assassin exploded.

He was killed instantly by the devastating attack.
Only the leader and the healer remained.
Amon turned his attention toward them immediately.
The leader’s eyes were filled with despair, and only regret clung to his heart.
If he had known, he wouldn’t have provoked Amon in the slightest.
Unfortunately, there was no medicine for regret.
Gritting his teeth, he struggled desperately.
"Weaver, don’t push me too far!"
Amon swung his blade repeatedly.

Damage numbers flashed above the man’s head, and he was killed within seconds.
Boom!
A burst of white light erupted, and he vanished.
Amon finally shifted his attention to the healer.
There was only one reason he had saved her for last.
[Please choose the prefix you want to extract.]
[Weak, Healer, Weak Warrior.]
Amon took a deep breath.
’Goddess of luck... please favor me...’
He muttered to himself and gave the order.
’System, extract the Healer prefix.’
His heart rate increased slightly the moment he gave the command.
Surprisingly...
The system didn’t choose to be a b’tch this time.
[Prefix extracted. Do you wish to assign to Serrated Mantis Blade?]
’It really extracted!’
Amon’s heart surged with excitement.
Without hesitation, he agreed and assigned the prefix to the Serrated Mantis Blade.
Amon waited for something to happen, but after several seconds, nothing changed.
A wry sigh escaped his lips. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
’Seems I’ll have to discover the effect of the prefix on my own.’
He was curious about how the Healer prefix would interact with the Serrated Mantis Blade, but he would have to put that curiosity aside for now.
He glanced at the healer’s remaining prefixes, but none seemed useful aside from the Warrior prefix.
’System, extract the Warrior prefix.’
[Ding! Congratulations, Extraction failed. Please select another Prefix.]
Amon was already more than satisfied with obtaining the Healer prefix, so he wasn’t particularly bothered by the failed extraction.
He raised his blade, ready to end the healer’s life.
She looked up at him with pale, trembling eyes filled with despair.
"Fellow brother, please stay your hand."
A loud voice exploded through the surroundings, ringing in everyone’s ears.
The sharp sound of something tearing through the forest at high speed echoed from nearby.
Amon turned toward it and noticed the silhouette of a young man.
Of course he would listen to the other party’s words.
Bang!
His sword descended.
The healer was instantly killed.
A glow of surprise appeared on Amon’s face as he felt a trickle of energy flow into his body.
’This is...’
His thoughts spun rapidly as he formed a quick assumption.
If his guess wasn’t wrong, then for every person he killed with the Serrated Mantis Blade, he gained a portion of their health.
He pulled up his status and noticed that his health points had increased by ten.
’Still as mysterious as ever,’ Amon muttered to himself with a smile.
The uniqueness of discovering what effects a new, abstract prefix could bring always kept his heart racing.
Boom!
A figure burst into the clearing and finally landed.
Amon narrowed his eyes suspiciously, already on high alert as he looked over the newcomer.
Surprisingly, it was a young man with long blue hair that shimmered faintly beneath the light and light brown eyes containing a trace of anger as he stared at Amon.
"You killed them all?" he asked, clenching his teeth.
"They attacked me first," Amon said simply.
"And so? You should have just taught them a lesson and that was it. There was no need to kill fellow humans."
Amon looked at him as though he were staring at an idiot.
He couldn’t be bothered to explain the reasons behind his actions.
Jason stared at Amon, and a spear appeared in his grasp. He seemed ready to attack at any moment.
In the group chat, he had promised to come and rescue the group if they could hold on, only for notification after notification of their deaths to flash across the announcements.
Initially, he had assumed they simply couldn’t hold on against the beasts.
Who would have expected that a fellow human was responsible for killing them?
Amon noticed the killing intent in the young man’s eyes.
He didn’t mind adding another person to his kill list.
He raised his sword as well, and the two faced each other in silence, sparks practically crackling between them.
Just as the two were about to clash, a sharp roar tore through the surroundings.
The second half had arrived, and the beasts were no longer taking things lightly.
Within seconds, more than ten Rank 3 beasts surrounded both Amon and Jason.
More players were still arriving as well, and a few could already be seen standing at the edge of the barrier, hesitating oer whether to enter or not.
