SSS Rank: Infinite Enhancement, I Can Upgrade Everything to God Tier!
Chapter 96: [] : Clash of Sovereigns, The Oceanic Void
Declan didn’t wait for the thirty seconds to expire.
He gripped the dark matter shaft of the +40 Eclipse Severance with his right hand.
He tapped into the massive stamina pool provided by his Level 60 Abyssal Sovereign stats.
He focused on the sky right in front of the floating alien.
’Void Blink.’
The world went pitch black for a fraction of a millisecond.
Declan vanished from the high balcony of the central keep.
He completely bypassed the physical distance and the atmospheric pressure.
He teleported straight up into the burning sky and materialized exactly fifty feet away from the alien invader.
Gravity instantly grabbed him but his +10 Spiked Striders and the Frictionless Movement trait allowed him to briefly anchor his momentum.
He hung in mid air and stood on absolutely nothing.
His black Predator Coat whipped wildly in the intense thermal updrafts generated by the massive sun.
Korr, the Saint of Embers, snapped his draconic obsidian helmet toward Declan.
The alien player was genuinely shocked for a split second.
Normal players didn’t teleport into the sky. Normal players didn’t carry weapons that looked like tears in the fabric of reality.
Low level trash didn’t just appear in front of a Level 90.
"You dare approach a Saint?" The telepathic voice of Korr roared in the mind of Declan. He was furious at the sheer disrespect.
"You are nothing but native trash! Burn!"
The alien didn’t hesitate. He swung his massive armored arm downward.
The sun sized sphere of twisting plasma hovering behind him violently surged forward.
It didn’t shoot like a standard projectile.
It simply dropped and accelerated at terrifying speed directly toward Declan and the Iron Bastion below.
Declan watched the massive wall of white hot fire rushing at him.
He raised the +40 Eclipse Severance.
The Spacetime Laceration trait on his halberd allowed him to ignore physical and magical durability entirely.
He could easily swing the blade and slice the fireball perfectly in half.
But he did the math in his head instantly.
If he cut the sun in half, the two massive chunks of plasma would just bypass him and crash directly into the city below.
The sheer splash damage of a Level 90 ultimate attack would completely overwhelm the mana reserves of the Sanctum Core.
The shield would shatter and his entire city including Sloane, Kendra, and three thousand workers would be vaporized.
He couldn’t cut it. He had to delete it.
’Too big for a melee counter.’ Declan thought calmly.
He dropped the heavy halberd.
He simply let go of it and willed the massive weapon back into his digital inventory before it could even fall an inch.
The weapon vanished into blue pixels.
In the exact same fraction of a second, he opened his Global Auction House interface.
He bypassed his weapons and went straight to the magic skill books tab. He typed in a rapid search filter while floating in the sky.
[Keywords: Water, Shield, Defense. Tier: Scavenged.]
He hit filter and sorted by Lowest Price.
He didn’t care about base stats. He grabbed the very first and cheapest piece of trash magic he saw on the screen.
[Skill Book: Basic Water Shield]
↳ Description: Summons a very weak bubble of water. Breaks upon taking 10 damage. Good for blocking minor sparks.
↳ Buyout Price: 5 Origin Points.
He tapped the button. The cheap and soggy blue skill book materialized in his left hand.
He slammed it against his chest and instantly downloaded the spell into his neural link.
The massive fireball was only twenty feet away now.
The heat was literally starting to singe the edges of his dark coat.
Declan pulled up his enhancement menu. He had over eleven million Origin Points sitting in his treasury from the recent monster wave.
"System," Declan commanded. His voice was cold and absolutely ruthless over the roaring flames.
"Enhance the Water Shield. Push it to plus fifty. Burn the points!"
The system interface turned a glaring and panicked red.
[System Enhancement Initiated. Calculating cost...]
[Warning: Point requirement exceeds all known parameters for Scavenged tier.]
↳ Cost for +1 to +50: 10,000,000 Origin Points.
"Take it," Declan ordered without blinking.
Ten million points vanished from his account instantly.
It was an astronomical and server breaking fortune dumped into a beginner spell in less than a second.
A blinding white light erupted from the chest of Declan and completely outshone the incoming fireball.
The system chimes screamed in his head. They threw up massive error codes about structural collapse, logic failure, and neural destruction.
The Boundless Enhancement talent of Declan surged forward and violently crushed the safety protocols into dust.
The red warning boxes shattered.
[Talent Activated. Safety limits bypassed.]
[Water Shield has reached +50.]
[Triggering Ultimate Conceptual Mutation...]
The white light shifted. It turned into a deep and crushing abyssal blue.
The air around Declan suddenly froze.
The intense heat of the attack of the alien was instantly and violently pushed back by a wave of cold.
Declan looked at the new skill data flashing in his vision.
[Skill Mutated: Oceanic Void]
↳ Type: Active Spell (Sovereign Tier)
↳ Description: Summons a conceptual black hole of deep sea pressure. The void instantly devours all thermal energy, fire magic, and ambient heat within a 100 mile radius.
↳ Functionality: All consumed energy is permanently deleted from the server physics engine.
Declan smiled. His dark eyes gleamed with terrifying purple light.
"Thirsty," Declan whispered.
He thrust his left hand forward and his palm faced the massive and dropping sun. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
He activated the spell.
There was no grand explosion. There was no clashing of elements or epic struggle.
A tiny and pitch black sphere of swirling water materialized inches from his palm.
It looked like a marble made of the deep ocean.
The moment it appeared, the environment broke.
The Oceanic Void acted like a cosmic vacuum cleaner.
The massive and stadium sized fireball didn’t even get to touch him.
The white hot plasma was violently ripped forward. It stretched into a thin stream of bright light and got sucked directly into the tiny black sphere!
It took exactly two seconds.
The entire sun sized attack was devoured.
The black sphere swallowed every single drop of fire. It sucked the heat out of the sky and then simply vanished with a soft and watery pop.
The sky above Sector 7 went totally dark again.
The intense and baking heat was gone and replaced instantly by a freezing and biting cold.
The threat was just gone.
Korr, the Saint of Embers, froze completely.
The Level 90 alien player stared at the empty hand of Declan in sheer disbelief.
The fiery aura around the armor of the invader sputtered and died. It was completely drained by the area of effect of the spell.
"Error," the alien gasped out loud. His telepathic projection shattered into actual spoken words.
"That... that is mathematically impossible! Where did the energy go?! That was a Zenith tier cast!"
"I deleted it," Declan said smoothly. He floated perfectly still in the freezing air.
He brushed a speck of ash off his shoulder.
He raised his right hand.
The space distorted again and the +40 Eclipse Severance dropped back into his grip.
The blade hummed loudly in the quiet sky. The tiny black hole was spinning hungrily.
"Now," Declan smirked and pointed the heavy halberd at the alien. "Let’s talk about my airspace."
