Andrew scanned the rest of the cave. Off to one side sat a pool of milky, almost transparent liquid.

It was actually the Earth Milk liquid! It was the liquid that had transformed an ordinary rat into a Boss.

Apart from killing the beast, Andrew made a metal note to scoop the entire milky liquid.

On the opposite wall, a cage made of packed bones had been pressed into an alcove. Through the gaps in the bone bars, he could see the children huddled inside, pressed against each other, too weak and exhausted to making a sound.

He pointed.

"Get them out. Quiet and quick. I’ll close in on the King and find a weak point."

Although reluctant she replied in the team chat. "I hate kids. Leave some fun for me though."

She muttered as she made her way to the Cage.

Andrew slowly closed the distance between him and the monster the same way the girl did with the kids.

Godslayer trembled in his palm but Andrew suppressed its excitement and walked even closer to the beast. He then saw a slight injury at the neck of the beast but Andrew wasn’t so sure and walked even closer.

At this moment, the girl had reached the cage. She quietly removed the bone gate with her strength and placed it gently to the ground.

Then one of the kids saw her.

"Someone came to save us!"

"Waaah! We’re saved!"

"Aunty! Aunty, please take us away from the monster!"

Andrew’s face turned pale.

The girl’s face flushed in anger.

"This is why I hate kids!" she snapped under her breath, already scooping children up under both arms like sacks of grain.

Her wings spread. She became a golden blur and shot toward the tunnel exit —

At this exact moment, King Grey Rat opened its eyes.

Two enormous red pupils found Andrew instantly, like it had known exactly where to look the entire time it was sitting there with its eyes closed.

Andrew’s face went cold.

He activated Titan Form.

"Crack— Boom!"

A bolt of golden lightning tore clean through the cave ceiling and slammed into him — the transformation surge ripping the air apart. Two stray bolts caught the Rat King as well, searing into its hide and locking its muscles rigid for half a second.

Half a second was all Andrew needed.

[Titan Form: 2x Strength]

[Body Strengthening: +50%]

[Full Strike Output: 158 + 158 = 316 + 50% = 474]

His frame expanded into something that looked like it had been drawn out from myth and legends.

Godslayer lengthening in his hand to match his new scale, the blade’s faint trembling deepening into a full vibration.

[Flowing Phantom: 474 x 2 = 948]

The world in Andrew’s eyes immediately turned bland.

Color drained from everything in an instant as a single crimson line stretched from Andrew’s body across the frozen air and connecting directly to the thin seam of scar tissue on the Rat King’s neck.

His body broke into afterimages, and then the afterimages dissolved into a single beam of motion that crossed the entire cave in a fraction of a second.

He appeared behind the beast.

Color came back.

[-948 HP]

Blood exploded from the Rat King’s neck like a ruptured pipe, thick, dark streams spraying outward and hitting the cave floor but the beast didn’t actually die from a single strike!

It suddenly spun around.

"ROOOOOOAAAAAAAR!"

The Rat King was already moving before Andrew could fully register it had turned.

It’s mouth opened wide, filling his entire field of vision before he could—

"CHOMP!"

He managed to lean his body to the left, letting the beast bite his shoulder off instead of his head.

Pure white pain exploded in his sight as the teeth closed around his shoulder.

Instinctively, Andrew erupted with ChaoS Dao Flame.

"Boom!"

[ -200 Hp]

[Ding! You’ve defeated Phase 1 of King Grey Rat. Get ready for Phase 2]

Andrew grabbed the Rat King’s teeth with his working hand and pried. His right arm swung loose as the fangs came free.

His entire shoulder had been bitten off only attached, by a rope of muscle tissue.

He immediately activated Titan Regeneration. Mana drained from his body like a vacuum.

Steam rose from the wound immediately. The muscle tissue thickened, contracted and rebuilt. In under five seconds, his right arm grew perfectly new with a pop sound.

At that moment, Andrew turned backward and saw the girl and the kids were stunned.

"Take them out before it begins its phase 2."

Andrew growled simultaneously grabbing a Mana chip from his bag and bit the corner of the chip as his intestune started to digest the man and covert it to energy into his body.

The golden haired girl instantly came to from his growl. She was only able to carry 7 of the kids at a time.

"Carry those you can, I will bring the others after you."

The girl nodded her head and sped out of the cave and into tunnel. Andrew was about to grab the other 7 but they cowered in fear and screamed.

Andrew’s face changed and he roared. "Shut the fuck up!"

The kids instantly cried even louder. Making Andrew even more angry. he didn’t even care anymore and scoop up remaining kids with his massive figure and rushed to the cave tunnel then threw them violently to the passage and roared at them.

"Run!"

At that moment, King Grey’s body started to twitch as its Phase 2 started awakening.

Some of the kids ran while two to three had their knees locked in fear.

Andrew swore in his mind. "These kids are fucking useless."

He turned back and hurried to the cave.
