The tide rhythmically crashed in, and seagulls called out above. Peony said sadly, "Can we really? With someone like me?"

The blue Miracle Seed, like a drop of water, swayed and shimmered, emitting gentle yet radiant light.

"I’m sorry for making you feel guilty for so long."

Susan suddenly clenched her Miracle Seed, delicate blue threads unfurled, the raging waves around her solidified overhead, and then spread apart.
