Chapter 1090 - 1089:
Lin Fan's words angered Blonde Hair. In Blonde Hair's eyes, what Lin Fan said was just bullshit, having no effect on him at all, because in his eyes, Lin Fan was just a poor loser, a powerless and insignificant poor loser. How could his words carry any weight? It could be said they were completely worthless.
Lin Fan said, "To be honest, this matter really has nothing to do with me. It's just that the old man happened to find me to reason it out, so I chimed in with a few words. Sorry about that, I've had a bit to drink tonight and was thinking of heading home to sleep. How about this, for my sake, don't make things difficult for the old man. As I just said, there's a better way to resolve this issue, at worst you could go to court."
In Blonde Hair's view, Lin Fan was just as long-winded as the Tang Monk, and it made him laugh angrily: "You really got some nerve, giving me face? Who the hell are you? Do I need to give you face? Why don't you go find out who the hell I am? In this village, who dares mess with me? Who doesn't lower their gaze when they see me? Who the hell do you think you are?"
Someone nearby teased, "Brother Ji, I think this lad has had a couple of drinks and doesn't know who he is anymore, even daring to meddle in your business!"
Everyone burst into laughter.
Lin Fan said, "I'm just a tenant here."
Blonde Hair said, "That's it. You're just a tenant. Do I not know the price of the houses here? Generally, it's 500 yuan a month, 1000 yuan at most. People who live in such places are country bumpkins from out of town! What kind of damn face do you have? Consider it yourself, a country bumpkin trying to mess with me, a local? Are you qualified?"
Lin Fan said, "No, no, no, I really don't want to mess with you. You see, I'm just passing by and am just trying to advise you not to fight. Who I am is not important. You tell me if I'm qualified. I think everyone is equal, regardless of wealth and poverty. Reason is most important, don't you think? If you agree with what I say, then that's giving me face."
Blonde Hair snorted coldly, "I don't agree. Get lost, you dead broke bastard!"
Saying this, Blonde Hair pushed towards Lin Fan, trying to shove him aside.
However, his shove hit nothing but air, not even touching Lin Fan's clothes.
Though Lin Fan was half-drunk, it was impossible for an ordinary person to touch him unless he allowed it. Otherwise, they wouldn't even be able to harm a single strand of his hair.
Blonde Hair's shove was in vain, and he paused, comforting himself that it must be an illusion.
"Since this kid doesn't know what's good for him, let's beat him up and teach him a lesson about meddling in other people's business!" Blonde Hair gritted his teeth.
A group of thugs-like people immediately lunged forward, attempting to gang up on Lin Fan.
Blonde Hair smirked, "Damn loser thinks he can mess with me, Ah-Ji, must have drunk too much. Today, I'll teach you not to pretend to be tough!"
However...
The next second...
All of a sudden, a chorus of wails began...
In the blink of an eye, the thugs attempting to gang up on Lin Fan were all lying on the ground, struggling, squirming, and wailing.
Even though Lin Fan was as lenient as possible, because he really wasn't in the mood to play, his head was a bit dizzy, and he just wanted to go home and sleep. But these guys were just too weak, still rolling on the ground unable to get up.
Only Blonde Hair was still able to stand, but he was already scared stiff, frozen in place, not daring to move, fearing Lin Fan might slap him with one move and send his head flying.
Lin Fan looked toward Blonde Hair and said, "I say, could you show me some respect and stop fighting this old man? Isn't it better to sit down and talk things over? Don't you think I'm right?"
Blonde Hair quickly nodded, wiping the sweat from his forehead, "Yes, you're right."
The old man next to him was also sweating. Didn't you just say he wasn't worthy? How come it's okay now? It seems respect is determined by who has the bigger fists.
One has to admit, this young guy was really impressive. He hadn't even seen clearly, and the guy had already dealt with those ruffians.
Lin Fan said, "Then that's settled. Old man, you should hurry home."
The old man quickly nodded, "Thank you, young brother, thank you so much."
The old man didn't even dare look Blonde Hair in the eye and hurriedly turned away to leave.
Lin Fan watched the old man walk away, then waved his hand, saying, "You're free to go. I suggest you talk things out if there's a problem, don't resort to violence against honest people. You think you're tough, but even a rabbit will bite when cornered. If you're not satisfied, you can take it to court and let the law decide, hmm?"
Could Blonde Hair say no? He quickly nodded.
Lin Fan then turned and walked away. He had said it all, and whether they listened or not was up to them. After all, he was just a passerby, a simple act of assistance.
Lin Fan returned to his apartment, took a quick shower, and immediately fell asleep, sleeping very deeply until the next morning when he was awakened by the sound of a phone ringing.
It was a call from Wei Yue'er.
"I'm at the village entrance. Are you up?" Wei Yue'er asked.
Lin Fan sat up immediately. After sleeping a night, the alcohol had completely worn off. "I'm getting up now. Wait for me a moment while I brush my teeth and wash my face, and I'll be right out."
Lin Fan got up, completed his morning routine, and headed out.
It was the peak commuting hour; office workers were leaving the village, either fighting to get on buses or squeezing into metros, beginning a busy day. Life wasn't easy, especially in this big city, where everyone dragged along visibly tired bodies due to lack of sleep.
Lin Fan moved along with the flow of people toward the village entrance.
Suddenly, Lin Fan noticed someone arguing not far away. Upon closer inspection, the two involved were the old man and Blonde Hair from last night.
Blonde Hair was being extremely arrogant, snatching a pile of papers from the old man's hands, ripping them while cursing, "You really dared, huh? You want to sue me? Who gave you the courage? Was it that guy from last night? What is he to you, a relative or your bodyguard, offering 24-hour protection?"
The old man watched, unable to snatch back the ripping documents, knowing he couldn't win if he tried.
Blonde Hair's actions drew the attention of passersby, but everyone was rushing to work and didn't stop to intervene.
"Sixth Elder, don't push me. Didn't the young guy last night say we should talk it over or resolve it through a lawsuit? Didn't you agree?" The old man said timidly.
Blonde Hair sneered dismissively, "Last night, did I dare not to talk properly? But now it's different. That guy isn't here. You really took his words like they're some decree, huh!"
Although the old man was timid, he was determined, "Tearing them is useless, I'll just print more. Anyway, I won't give up until you return my warehouse."
"You damn..." Blonde Hair was infuriated, raising his hand as if to hit the old man.
But before his hand could strike down, it was suddenly grabbed from the side, as if caught by pliers, unable to move.
Blonde Hair turned his head and almost lost his soul. Damn, wasn't this the same guy from last night!
"Why are you bullying the old man again?" Lin Fan chuckled.
