Starting With an SSS-Rank Goddess Summon!
Chapter 96: Mining Tomorrow?
The massive thrashing white roots of the Necro-Arbor Sovereign completely stopped moving.
They violently shuddered in mid-air, physically paralyzed by a higher conceptual authority overriding their programming.
"Heh..."
Eluned’s beautiful glowing green eyes flared with a blinding emerald light.
"You do not possess the right to grow in my presence," Eluned commanded the localized flora.
Thick condensed emerald-green roots erupted entirely from the stone floorboards at Eluned’s bare feet.
Her divine roots shot forward, actively hunting the corrupted white vines.
The emerald roots violently converged upon the Boss’s appendages.
They wrapped aggressively around them, forcing the thick thrashing white vines into massive immobile embarrassing tied-up knots.
The Tier 4 Boss was completely immobilized in a matter of seconds.
"Pathetic," Eluned scoffed, crossing her arms under her chest.
She turned her head slightly to look back at Silas with a proud smile touching her lips.
"Did you see that, my Lord? Flawless divine control. I am the best."
Before Silas could offer her the required validation, a blinding cosmic blue blur shot entirely past them.
"I will kill it with a single hit!" Morwenna roared enthusiastically.
The SSS-Rank Dread Queen was sprinting entirely through the mud.
Her massive heavy-bladed Astral Corsair was drawn with the cosmic veins glowing violently.
She was completely ignoring the trash mobs, her predatory eyes locked exclusively onto the immobilized Tier 4 tree.
Eluned aggressively scowled with her pointed ears twitching in pure concentrated jealousy.
"You unrefined kill-stealing brute!" Eluned complained loudly, violently offended that the pirate was about to take the final blow on a target she had meticulously locked down.
Eluned narrowed her glowing eyes.
A petty malicious smirk touched her lips.
"Oops..." Eluned said completely deadpan.
She intentionally severed her mana connection.
The pristine emerald roots instantly dissolved into green sparks.
The massive thrashing white roots of the Tier 4 Necro-Arbor Sovereign were entirely, immediately released from their tied-up knots.
The tree violently lashed out.
Hundreds of thick, jagged roots aggressively shot directly toward the sprinting Pirate Queen, aiming to completely skewer her.
Silas aggressively pinched the bridge of his nose.
’Trying to kill each other out of pure spite?’ Silas thought, completely exhausted by the internal politics of his two Heroes. ’Why can’t they be like Aeliana?’’
Morwenna didn’t panic.
She didn’t even slow her sprint.
The Dread Queen was fundamentally in her element.
She hit the massive cluster of incoming white roots.
Morwenna didn’t block though, instead she became a storm of pure violence.
Morwenna engaged a blinding series of evasive maneuvers.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
She vaulted perfectly over a sweeping root, slid effortlessly under a lethal thrust, and casually deflected a massive descending vine with the flat of her mythic blade.
She was moving with the fluid momentum of a tidal wave.
"Is this the best you can do, weed?!" Morwenna laughed maniacally, completely carving her way through the defensive perimeter.
She aggressively planted her heavy combat boots into the mud and vaulted completely into the air.
She soared thirty feet straight up, entirely clearing the lower canopy of the corrupted tree.
Suspended entirely in mid-air, Morwenna didn’t swing her sword.
She raised her left arm, the heavy iron chain wrapping around her forearm rattling loudly.
"Abyssal Anchor!" Morwenna roared.
CLANG!
A massive thick spectral iron chain entirely materialized out of the thin air.
It shot violently downward, the anchor grew massive and the massive spectral boarding anchor wrapping entirely around the massive twenty-foot-thick trunk of the Necro-Arbor Sovereign.
The heavy spectral chains locked aggressively into place, binding the entire tree.
Morwenna didn’t drop.
She leveraged the physics of her SSS-Rank mana core.
She violently yanked her left arm directly upward.
"Heave!" Morwenna screamed.
The sheer physics-defying pull of the Abyssal Anchor engaged.
The massive stadium-sized cavern violently, catastrophically shook.
The solid obsidian bedrock beneath the tree physically cracked, spider-webbing outward for fifty yards.
CRUNCH!
With a deafening, ear-splitting sound, the entire massive Tier 4 Boss was violently ripped completely up from the ground.
Thousands of deep thick subterranean roots were physically snapped and torn from the bedrock.
The entire Necro-Arbor Sovereign was hauled completely into the air, suspended helplessly twenty feet above the mud, entirely bound by a massive spectral chain held by a single falling woman.
"The hell?" Eluned blinked.
Morwenna began her descent.
She didn’t fall passively.
She aggressively tucked her body, entering a blinding high-speed vertical spin.
She gripped the Astral Corsair with both hands now, channeling about 50% mana output into the Tidal-Blade Arts.
A compressed volatile orb of dark blue deep-ocean heavy-water completely engulfed her falling figure.
She looked like a falling meteor of pure cosmic ocean.
Morwenna descended directly upon the suspended tree.
KRA-KOOM!
The impact was utterly devastating.
Morwenna didn’t just slash the tree.
The apocalyptic atmospheric pressure of her descending strike entirely, flawlessly cleaved the massive Tier 4 Boss completely in half, starting directly from the top branches and slicing seamlessly all the way down to the torn roots.
The Abyssal Anchor shattered.
The massive bisected halves of the corrupted tree crashed violently into the mud, sending a massive shockwave of dirt and black sap entirely across the cavern.
Silas stood calmly on the sidelines, watching the dust settle.
Instantly, a familiar glowing blue notification pinged directly in his retinas.
[Target Eliminated: Tier 4 Necro-Arbor Sovereign. +200 UP]
Silas’s eyes widened slightly.
’Two hundred Upgrade Points from a single kill?’ Silas thought with extreme satisfaction. ’Killing beasts is always profitable... combining with the rest of them I have now, I might have made more than 400.’
The exact second the Tier 4 Boss completely flatlined, the environmental corruption began to aggressively rapidly fade.
The thick sickly white roots that had been violently choking the cavern walls and draining the mana crystals instantly withered.
They turned completely brittle, turning into dry harmless gray ash that crumbled away from the rock.
The sickeningly sweet neurotoxin in the air vanished entirely and then, the true beauty of the cavern was completely revealed.
Without the thick canopy of corrupted roots blocking the walls, the massive unmined veins of blue star-iron and dark deep-earth alloy began to naturally softly glow.
The entire cavern was illuminated by a beautiful radiant ambient light that reflected off the puddles.
It was breathtaking.
Morwenna landed heavily in the mud, rolling perfectly to absorb her kinetic descent.
She slowly stood up, breathing heavily as she smoothly sheathed the Astral Corsair with a sharp click.
Morwenna turned around, entirely ignoring the ruined bisected tree behind her.
She looked directly at Eluned, who was currently clenching her teeth so hard it looked like her jaw was going to physically shatter.
Morwenna offered the furious Goddess an incredibly smug arrogant smirk.
Then, the Dread Queen turned her feral, stormy gray eyes directly toward Silas.
The SSS-Rank Pirate Queen offered a soft genuine smile.
"Captain," Morwenna announced smoothly. "It’s done."
Before Silas could officially congratulate her on the flawless execution, another glowing blue holographic tab materialized directly in front of his face, completely blocking his vision.
[Resource Node Discovered: High-Yield Mana Crystal Vein & Mythic Ore Deposit.]
[Would you like to permanently establish a Forward Operating Base (FOB) at this location?]
[Y / N]
Silas didn’t hesitate for a microscopic fraction of a second.
This was the entire reason he had walked into the dark.
"Yes..." Silas commanded the system.
The reaction wasn’t a massive destructive explosion.
It was an incredibly subtle show of sovereign magic.
A pulse of warm golden light erupted directly from his chest.
The sovereign aura rapidly expanded, completely washing over the entire cavern, officially binding the grid’s coordinates directly to the central territorial anchor of the Blessed Land.
There were no massive visual differences in the cave itself.
No walls magically repaired themselves, and no turrets popped out of the ground but a secondary, highly detailed holographic tab appeared perfectly in his vision.
It was an entire fully mapped 3D wireframe of the subterranean cavern.
It explicitly highlighted the exact density, depth, and purity of every single crystal and mythic ore vein in the grid.
It showed the active extraction rates, the structural integrity, and the exact coordinates for future mining shafts.
He officially owned a multi-million-credit production facility...
Silas crossed his armored arms over his chest with his golden-ringed eyes tracing the profitable data.
A slow satisfied smirk touched his lips.
"Nice.." Silas muttered quietly into the glowing cavern.
With the brilliant unhindered white light of Thora’s anti-gravitational lantern shining down upon the cavern, the staggering reality of their localized discovery fully set in.
The main chamber wasn’t just a boss room.
It was a completely untouched treasury of the deep earth.
Thora, the territory’s designated Master Smith, was unapologetically losing her mind.
"Look at the structural density of these formations!" Thora shrieked, sprinting across the obsidian floorboards while completely ignoring the bisected spider corpses and Orc blood. "This isn’t just surface-level scraping! These veins go incredibly deep! The ambient mana has been actively compressing these minerals for centuries!"
She aggressively slammed her hands against a massive protrusion of glowing blue star-iron.
"We need to extract this right now!" Thora ordered frantically, abandoning her chain of command.
She spun around, pointing a soot-stained finger at the girls.
"Girls! Get your asses over here and start chipping! We are not leaving this grid until my bag is completely full!"
Brida, still riding the high of the slaughter they had just committed didn’t hesitate.
The towering heavy infantry commander grinned fiercely, hoisting the massive axe onto her shoulder.
"I’ve got the muscle for it!" Brida laughed loudly.
She marched directly up to a massive, stubborn cluster of deep-earth alloy protruding from the floor.
She didn’t use a delicate pickaxe... well Blessed Land didnt have pickaxes...
She surged her mana into the dark gravity runes of her mythic axe and brought the heavy double-bitted blade down in a brutal sweeping arc.
CRACK!
The force of the strike shattered the bedrock, cleanly severing two massive flawless chunks of deep-earth alloy from their ancient roots.
"Yes! Flawless edge alignment, big girl!" Thora cheered, immediately scrambling over to scoop up the heavy dark metal.
She aggressively shoved the two massive chunks of alloy directly into her heavy canvas duffel bag.
But as she reached for a third glowing blue crystal of star-iron that Tasmin had managed to pry loose with her dagger hilts, Thora hit a massive brick wall.
The heavy brass zipper on her duffel bag groaned, completely refusing to close.
"Oh, come on!" Thora complained loudly, trying to violently force the zipper shut over the jagged edges of the ores. "Don’t you dare fail on me now! I engineered you with reinforced wyvern canvas!"
The canvas held, but the volume of the bag was maxed out.
She had already stuffed it with experimental explosives, tools, and that massive anomalous crimson blood-crystal from the entrance tunnel.
There was zero cubic space remaining.
Thora let out a long groan, dropping the star-iron chunk into the mud.
She turned her head, looking directly at her Sovereign.
’I could just ask my Lord to open his Lord Inventory and carry all of this,’ Thora thought. ’But no... That is inefficient. A proper extraction requires equipment... It requires carts and it requires proper ventilation. Besides it won’t be fun like this...’
She stood up, dusting off her leather apron.
Thora turned around to face the assembled girls, the SSS-Rank entities, and Silas.
A massive perverted smile stretched entirely across her soot-stained face.
It was the exact kind of smile that made trained women instinctively take a half-step backward.
"Brida, halt your swings..." Thora ordered smoothly, raising her hand. "We are completely maxed out on carrying capacity. This scraping simply wouldn’t do at all."
Brida lowered her axe, raising a confused eyebrow. "So we just leave it?"
"Only for tonight," Thora corrected her with her grin widening. "Mining is a sacred respected tradition back in my Home Kingdom and Dwarven women do not mine in restrictive combat armor."
Thora placed her hands on her hips, proudly puffing out her chest.
"We wear completely optimized breathable outfits," Thora lectured them with sincerity. "I’m talking reinforced leather straps, perfectly fitted steel-mesh bikinis, and zero chafing. Tomorrow, we are going to come back here as a completely dedicated coordinated mining expedition. I will personally outfit all of you in proper Dwarven mining lingerie, and I will even teach you how to forge your own weapons!"
