Governor's Office

Orion and Martin looked at each other. Both of their faces showed serious expressions. This time, they were going to face more danger than the last time.

"What type of beast is it?"

"Is it an aerial one?" Orion asked.

He was afraid that a beast with flying abilities had emerged. If the Tier-9 Beast was like the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile, then they would face far more risk.

Martin said, "Don't think too much. I believe it's not an aerial type. If it were an aerial type, the beast tamers would have seen it."

"So it's not an aerial type. It must be a fast-moving land beast. And it has a poison ability," Martin added.

Hearing that, Orion calmed his heart. If it's not an aerial type, then they could stop the land-type beast with the help of the Lord from the Alliance.

"What should we do next?"

"Did you collect the corpse of Leon?"

"We should hand over the remains to the family," Orion said.

"I have put them inside the settlement right now. I will send a few elders to retrieve the corpses," Martin said.

"Next, we have to inform the Beast Taming Forces in the city. They have to call back their members. They are not safe in the wilderness," he added.

Orion agreed. Then both of them decided to work on that.

Ten minutes later, π‘“π˜³π‘’π‘’π“Œπ˜¦π˜£π˜―β„΄π‘£π˜¦π‘™.π˜€π‘œπ‘š

A circular was sent to all the Beast Taming Forces, businesses, and small organizations from the Governor's office.

The circular stated that the wilderness is not safe anymore. The corrupted beasts' numbers were exceeding expectations.

Several of the Beast Tamers were injured. There are reports of casualties as well. The Governors have decided to be on alert.

So, they requested the Beast Taming Forces to call back their members from the wilderness.

Until the situation returns to normal, there is no need to enter the wilderness.

The circular reached the attention of the Heads of all the Beast Taming Forces, including the Central University Head and the Beast Taming University Head.

They have branches in all human zones. The two Heads first read the circular. They were shocked to the core.

The Central University Head couldn't believe his own eyes. He once again read the statement carefully. The Governors were clear.

The thing happening in the wilderness was not the mere return of the corrupted beasts back to the wilderness. Their numbers are increasing gradually. It could lead to the next beast tide in no time.

"So that's why the governors wanted everyone to return," he said to himself.

He then wasted no time. He summoned the elders and told them to call back all students to the university.

He also told them to inform the families as well.

Meanwhile,

The Beast Taming Association Head read the circular. His eyes flashed with anger.

"Not again," he muttered.

He found some kind of sense of urgency in the circular, as if the Governors were hiding something. Last time, the Governors tried to stop the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile.

But the beast was able to reach the city and caused havoc and destruction. He didn't want to experience it again.

Since the Governors had done this, he realized that a beast tide was imminent. He didn't know whether the city was ready for another Beast Tide.

He didn't feel right. He felt there was more to the circular. Why this sense of urgency? He decided to go to the Governor's office.

Swoosh!

The next moment, he left the place. He was moving through the air towards the Governor's office. Right then, he saw many others going towards the Governor's office.

He was stunned. His expression became more serious.

Swoosh!

The next second, he rushed towards the place. In the blink of an eye, he reached the Governor's office. The others reached the office as well.

Thud!

One by one, the heads of the forces landed on the ground. They all saw the Beast Taming Association Head. They were in shock as well.

"Head, what happened?"

"Is this true?"

"Are we under attack?"

One after another, the heads of various forces asked.

Hearing that, the Beast Taming Head was stunned. He didn't know what to say.

"Let's get inside first," he said.

Hearing that, the others agreed. Then they walked into the office one after another.

Governors Orion and Martin were already aware of their arrival. So they were waiting inside the meeting room. Both of their faces were downcast.

"I was right. These people might have found something already," Orion said in a solemn tone.

"Everyone is a veteran. You cannot hide things from them," Martin said.

He thought that these people might have found something wrong. The next second, the officials came to the room. They informed them about the heads of the various forces.

"Allow them inside," Martin said.

Hearing that, the officials nodded and went back.

Shortly afterwards,

The Beast Taming Association Head and others walked into the room. The Central University Head was missing.

The news of various heads' visits here would reach him, so he could be here at any time.

Governors Martin and Orion welcomed them and asked them to sit down. The Heads sat down one by one.

Martin and Orion looked at each other. They decided to tell them now. They couldn't hide it anymore.

"All of you are here. It's time to tell you the important news." After saying that, Martin paused.

"It's a bit of sad news. Governor Leon is no more. He was killed by Tier-9 Corrupted Beasts," Martin said.

Thunderclap!

Everyone felt as if a thunderclap struck their heads. They couldn't believe Governor Leon was dead. They had thought he was just not here.

But they didn't expect him to be dead. Everyone's face was dread-filled. They didn't know what was going on. They didn't know when the Tier-9 Corrupted beasts appeared and killed one of their Governors.

The face of the Beast Taming Head was not good-looking. He was connecting the dots. He understood why Governors Martin and Orion wanted everyone to leave.

The Tier-9 Beast might have appeared behind their backs already. They didn't know, but the Governors were taking action in secret.

There was silence, and grief filled the room.
