Chapter 864: Part 1: Tier-9 Lords vs Tier-9 Black Centipede

The trio learned that it was a Tier-9 Black Centipede. After entering the unexplored area, they started looking for the Tier-9 Beast.

But they had also found the auras of other beasts. These included Tier-8 and Tier-9 Beasts. The trio didn’t waste any time and went even deeper.

Finally, the lady saw that the aura of the Tier-9 Beast was moving ahead. It was going further into the core area of the unexplored region.

The core was home to more Tier-9 Beasts. There was a risk of entering the core area.

They could come across Colossal Beasts, even though this zone didn’t have a history of any attacks from Colossal Beasts.

The lady looked at the other two men. They agreed to go further as well.

Swoosh!

They disappeared from the spot. The trio was going to the core area, moving at top speed.

On the other hand, the Tier-9 Black Centipede was moving fast as well. The beast was intelligent. It sensed the presence of the human powerhouses. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

They had entered its domain. The beast understood that human powerhouses were chasing after it.

The Tier-9 Black Centipede exploded forward with great speed. Its thousands of legs moved in a flash. The impact force spread across the area.

The other beasts nearby felt the power. The power from the Tier-9 beast could kill them, so the nearby corrupted beasts fled from the place.

The Tier-9 Beast reached an important area. It entered the territory of another Tier-9 Beast, called the Armored Earth Lizard.

The Armored Earth Lizard was known for its powerful defense and strong vitality. The Tier-9 Black Centipede, even with its strong poison ability, would find it hard to kill.

Swoosh!

It didn’t take long for the trio to catch up to the beast. But they had entered the core area. Apart from the Tier-9 Black Centipede, there were other Tier-9 Beasts nearby.

Boom!

The trio appeared next to the Tier-9 Black Centipede. The Tier-9 Black Centipede stopped moving. It suddenly turned around, and its lengthy body rose into the mid-air.

The trio stopped in mid-air. They looked up at the towering beast, which stood over 100 feet tall. All three of them felt the pressure.

"We should not hesitate. Let’s release our lifeline beasts," the woman said.

Hearing that, the other two men agreed.

The next second, the three of them released their lifeline beasts.

Boom!

A terrific, deafening noise sounded.

Three lifeline beasts, each over 100 feet tall, appeared on the ground.

A four-armed black ape beast materialized right next to one of the male Beast Tamers.

Boom!

A green anaconda with a massive, long body appeared next to the other middle-aged man.

The length of the anaconda was over 100 feet. As its massive body landed on the ground, it spread across the area.

Screech!

A bird beast appeared in the sky. The massive creature, with a wingspan of over 60 feet, soared above. It was a giant white sparrow.

As the bird beast flapped its wings, a powerful wind force spread across the place.

The Tier-9 Black Centipede was enraged. It opened its mouth wide and released a barrage of poison attacks.

Boom!

As many as a hundred poison spikes were released from the beast.

Just as the poison spikes were about to hit their targets, the three Tier-9 Beast Tamers evaded the attacks.

The poison blades landed on the ground one after another as the three Tier-9 Lifeline Beasts evaded the onslaught.

The ape beast swiftly shifted its body weight, its huge body escaping the poison attacks. If anyone from the outside had seen the exchange, they would have been surprised.

How was the ape beast able to escape the attack so easily?

The same thing happened with the massive anaconda beast. It moved in a zigzag manner. As its huge body slithered at top speed, it generated an impact force that swept away the vegetation.

In mid-air, the white sparrow moved in a flash. It evaded the poison attacks even faster than the other two lifeline beasts.

The three Beast Tamers evaded the attacks with ease. They and their lifeline beasts shared their abilities.

The middle-aged woman had the aid of a wind elemental. She moved faster and evaded the attacks successfully.

The other two middle-aged men did the same. None of the poison attacks touched them as they landed on the ground.

The poison spread across the vegetation and corroded it. Black patches started appearing on the ground.

The three Beast Tamers commanded their lifeline beasts to attack the Tier-9 Black Centipede.

Swoosh!

The Black Centipede was stunned to realize that its attacks had missed. The beast moved, then made a quick decision.

Its long body landed on the ground, and it began going deeper into the woods.

Screech!

The white sparrow let out a cry. It shot out bullets made of compressed air from its wings.

Boom!

The air bullets tore through the air. In the blink of an eye, they struck the back of the Black Centipede.

Boom!

A deafening noise occurred. The Black Centipede had a thick defense on its back, so the air bullets failed to pierce it.

But the Black Centipede felt a searing pain. The pain was so severe that the beast increased its speed.

Boom!

Seeing that the beast had increased its pace, the other lifeline beasts didn’t waste time and took action.

Boom!

The black ape threw huge boulders at the fleeing beast. The massive boulders, weighing a ton, landed squarely on the Black Centipede.

Boom!

Upon landing on its back, the boulders broke into pieces. They weren’t able to break the beast’s defense, but they were able to halt its momentum.

The Black Centipede was enraged. Though its defense didn’t crack, it felt an internal burden. If the situation continued, internal injuries would surely occur.

Lastly, the green anaconda’s ability lay in constriction. For that, the anaconda beast needed to reach the target first.

Once the beast was able to get near the Black Centipede, the anaconda would coil around it to the death.

But the speed of the green anaconda beast was low compared to the Black Centipede. It was leading the beast tamers further into an unknown part of the unexplored region.
