Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 824: Meeting The Mother-In-Law
Outside the Marc restaurant, the Gaia agents were moving out of the way quickly to make space for a grand royal carriage that was being pulled by four horses! The carriage was made from a deep mahogany red wood, and it had golden trims and decorations that showed that it belonged to a member of high society. On the side of the carriage was a royal symbol of a golden lion’s head that showed that the carriage belonged to the Minori Royal Family! The moment Fredrica saw this symbol, she felt her eyes widen in shock as she recognized it! As a member of the higher executives of Gaia, Fredrica had learned a lot about the Primordial Expanse as well as the Council of Nine and One that oversaw the Primordial Domains! Fredrica knew that the symbol she was looking at right now could only be wielded by one person! The Prideful Queen and the ruler of the Seventh Domain, Queen Hesabeth!
’Isn’t she the one who can destroy an entire world just by thinking about it!? What in the world is she doing on Earth!?’
Fredrica didn’t know what to do at this moment because there was no procedure for a situation like this! Usually, a leader of one domain would never enter into another domain without prior notice, so Hesabeth being here was completely unexpected! But even though most of the humans who saw the carriage had no idea who the Minori were, they could all feel a sense of reverence and love pouring from their hearts once they laid eyes on Hesabeth’s carriage! Everyone standing immediately bowed their heads reverently as the carriage passed beside them, and there were some who even fell to their knees in respect and adoration!
The carriage stopped right in front of the large Marc restaurant, and the soldier who had been driving the carriage came to open the door. Three other carriages stopped behind the first one, and multiple soldiers came down from there. Hesabeth would normally travel with many more soldiers, but she decided to reduce the number of soldiers today since she was here for something personal.
Riyala was the first person to come down from the carriage, and Riyala had a happy expression on her face since the business deal between Radagan and Minori had gone very well. Riyala went to the side and waited patiently, and there was a collective sense of awe that came over everyone present as Hesabeth finally appeared from within the carriage. Hesabeth’s long red hair flowed behind her like a curtain of red, and her golden eyes gazed down on everyone with a cold impassivity. Hesabeth’s dress was made from the finest red silk, and there were black and gold trims along the gown that gave it a sophisticated and regal look! Hesabeth flicked her fan open and used it to cover her lower face before she allowed her gaze to sweep over the peasants before her! There wasn’t a single person there who could meet her eyes since Hesbeath’s Bias had filled all their heads with a sense of love and reverence for her, and the only thing they could do at that moment was to bow their heads respectfully!
Hesabeth hummed with a satisfied smile, and she turned away from the peasants and finally looked toward the restaurant! The front door of the restaurant was made from glass, and Hesabeth could see Jason and Gina standing with some other humans inside while waiting for her. Hesabeth took in a deep breath and let it out in slight nervousness as she prepared herself to walk through those doors. Hesabeth had only felt this way once before in her life, and that was when she had been speaking to Gina about joining the relationship. It was such a strange and unfamiliar feeling to Hesabeth, but Hesabeth would’ve been even more surprised if she didn’t feel any nervousness at all! After all, what woman wouldn’t be nervous when they were about to meet the woman who gave birth to the man they loved!?
But Hesabeth knew that she didn’t have to feel nervous. After all, she was Hesabeth. There was no one in the world who wouldn’t love and adore her. It was a certainty that had been carved into the fabric of reality since the dawn of time!
"You look nervous."
Riyala came from beside Hesabeth and spoke to her in a low voice, and Hesabeth glanced at Riyala to see a knowing look on her face. Hesabeth felt a small blush rising to her cheek, but she easily killed it before she spoke in a haughty tone.
"Don’t be absurd. I’m never nervous. I feel perfectly fine."
"Is that so...?"
Hesabeth hummed as she took in another shuddering breath, and then she said.
"Do you think she’ll like me?"
Riyala felt shock pass through her when she heard Hesabeth ask this, and for the first time ever, Riyala heard some nervousness bleeding from Hesabeth’s voice. In truth, Jaosn Ahdbene was right about Hesbeath having an ulterior motive for speaking with Riyala earlier. The matter about the trade routes had been settled very quickly, and Hesabeth had spent the rest of the time asking Riyala many questions about Mira. Hesabeth not only wanted to know everything about Jason’s mother, but she also asked about the best way to make sure Mira accepted her into the family. Usually, Hesabeth would never care about what anyone else thought about her. Hesabeth was perfect in every sense, so if there was ever someone who did not like her, then it was obvious that they were the problem! But Hesabeth knew she couldn’t apply that same mindset towards the mother of the man she loved. On Minori, your husband’s mother played a large part in whether or not you would live happily with your partner, and if it turned out that your husband’s mother didn’t like you, then it would be very difficult for the home to remain peaceful! Right now, Hesabeth was feeling more nervous than when she had met Gina!
"You don’t need to worry, Hesabeth. She’ll love you."
Riyala finally spoke up in response to Hesabeth’s question, and Hesabeth turned to see Riyala smiling kindly at her. Riyala knew that Hesabeth was nervous, and Riyala wanted Hesabeth to know that everything would be fine! Hesabeth let out a final breath to steel herself before she took a step forward and began to move towards the restaurant.
Inside the restaurant, Jason was watching Hesabeth approach with a calm look on his face, and Jason could see the obvious confusion on the faces of all the others who didn’t know who Hesabeth was! Francis and Janet looked absolutely lost, and even Juliet had no idea what was going on.
Hesabeth walked past all the Gaia agents that had been stationed outside, and Jason let out a small chuckle when he saw the agents bowing to Hesabeth, even though they had no idea who she was. Hesbeth’s Bias was just something else.
Ring~!
The bell above the door chimed as a soldier opened the door for Hesabeth, and Hesabeth finally entered the restaurant and studied the interior with a calm look on her face. Hesabeth first smiled at Jason and Gina before her eyes finally settled on Mira Marc. Hesabeth could immediately see the resemblance between Jason and this woman, and it didn’t take her long to realise that this was Jason’s mother. Hesabeth reduced the intensity of her Bias so that it wouldn’t affect Mira, and she motioned to the soldier at the side. The soldier immediately produced a whisper stone and held it reverently, and Hesabeth first looked over to Jason with a questioning gaze. Jason nodded to Hesabeth supportively, and Hesabeth flicked her fan shut before she finally turned to Mira.
