Strongest Necromancer System
Chapter 829: Isn’t This A Bit Much?
No one wanted to touch the family of a man who was said to be stronger than the Primordials. But that same negligence might’ve been a mistake on their part, because not only did the American government not know the full extent of Jason’s power, but the fact that Jason had gotten so strong in such a short time prevented them from being able to control him! As far as the Chief Commander was concerned, Jason was an anomaly that no one would’ve been able to control!
There were some other leaders who also voiced their displeasure, but they were shut down as Cerci finally spoke for the first time since appearing here.
"We cannot blame the Americans. The blame falls on me."
All eyes turned to Cerci curiously. There wasn’t a single person in the room who didn’t know Cerci. As the leader of the Gaia branches all over the world, Cerci had met with most leaders present in the room to carry out business with them. Cerci’s network was so vast that Cerci even knew about the shady dealings carried out by the Black Market Guild, as well as multiple other immoral activities carried out by some of the countries. Cerci folded his hands across his chest and leaned back before he continued.
"The responsibility for taking care of Jason should have fallen on Gaia’s shoulders, but we failed in that respect. I foolishly believed that Jason was as passive as Richard, and I was prepared to foster the same relationship with him that I once had with his father. But unlike Richard, Jason was less willing to cooperate, even though he knew we were a necessary evil. Things spiraled out of our control because I failed to foresee this. But the Chief Commander of the Enforcers is correct. If Jason wished to kill us, then we would be dead already, so let us wait and hear him out. I believe he is already on his way here."
Doon!
The entire room suddenly shook from a great power, and the people in the room turned around in shock as they felt an intensely oppressive mana pressing down on them! The door behind the hall opened up, and the leaders watched in stunned silence as a beautiful woman in a maid’s gown appeared from the door along with the current head of the SMD in Riverdale, Liam James. Liam had a stunned look on his face as he looked over all the gathered leaders, but Liam didn’t dare say anything as he simply followed behind Stella. Stella walked to the side and stood with her hands in front of her before looking over the meeting room with a glare.
"My name is Stella, and I am a servant of the Marc household. I will serve as the proctor of today’s meeting. As guests of his majesty the Prince, you will show the proper respect that is due him, or I will ensure you are dealt with appropriately. Now, get on your feet."
Doon!
Stella’s power suddenly surged across the room, and the leaders shivered when they felt the intense mana pressing down on them! Stella’s mana alone was greater than most of the Legion subordinates that had abducted them, and the leaders realised that it was in their best interest to simply do as they were told. The leaders had been brought here against their will, and they had no idea where they were or what was going to happen to them. In a situation like this, they didn’t really have much of a choice! The leaders slowly began to stand up, and Stella waited until she was sure that they were all on their feet before she nodded and turned to announce Jason’s entrance.
"His Majesty, Prince Jason of the Avaran, wielder of the Blood Oath of Fire, and Overlord of the Sixth Domain, will now enter."
Jason entered the room with a calm, impassive look on his face, and he looked over the shocked expressions on the leaders gathered there. Jason was wearing a pair of black slacks and a black shirt with the [Cloak of Invisibility] draped over them all. On his feet were combat boots, and he was wearing a pair of black artefact gloves on his hands. Jason hadn’t really planned it, but his current appearance made him look like some sort of ruthless gang leader, and this only added to the nervousness that the leaders were feeling. In Jason’s right hand was a black briefcase, and the leaders could only wonder what Jason had inside it. Jason studied the terrified looks on the faces of all the leaders before he looked over at Stella with a raised brow. Stella had pleaded with Jason to allow her to enter the room first so that she could introduce him, and Jason had only agreed since he knew it would help make things easier. But wasn’t this a bit over the top?
’I feel like one of those medieval kings trying to make a grand entrance in a ball or something. It’s not exactly embarrassing, but I’d rather not do it if I had a choice.’
Jason chuckled internally as he had this thought, and Jason decided that it didn’t matter. Jason still felt the introduction was a bit over the top, but he didn’t mind since he knew that it was necessary. Jason could feel the tension in the room growing with each passing second. It was obvious that no one was happy with how they had been brought here, but Jason didn’t care at all about that, and he simply began walking towards the stage with Stella following behind him.
"Take a seat anywhere."
Jason said this to Liam while motioning to the empty seats around, and Liam nodded quickly as he went to take a seat close to the other leaders from America. Liam had met with Jason just a few minutes ago when Jason had been leaving for the meeting. It was actually meant to be just a simple meeting where Liam would greet Jason and welcome him back home after he was gone for so long. Gaia had studied Jason’s mana while Jason was eating with his family, and once they decided that the mana was not dangerous to the people around, they removed the perimeter blockade and allowed other agencies like the SMD to finally move in. Liam had driven towards the restaurant with his two close aides, and the moment he arrived at the restaurant, he was surprised when he saw that Jason was going somewhere. Jason had been speaking to Gina in a hushed voice at the restaurant entrance, and Liam only managed to catch the last words of what Jason said:
"... I’ll just talk to them about what’s about to happen. We can go see your parents when I’m done."
Gina had nodded with a smile and kissed Jason, and Liam was shocked when Jason turned and kissed two other beautiful women! Liam couldn’t understand what was happening, but he couldn’t help but feel like the women were wives sending their husband off to work! What sort of relationship was Jason in!?
Liam shook his head to get rid of those thoughts, and he watched Jason leave the restaurant with a personal maid following after him. Once Jason got closer, he gave Liam a look, and Liam heard Jason hum in curiosity while narrowing his eyes. Liam felt slightly nervous from the way Jason was looking at him, and Liam couldn’t help but think that Jason was judging him. But at the next moment, Jason nodded and waved for Liam to follow him.
"I suppose you should join in too."
That was the only thing Jason said to Liam, and Liam had no choice but to follow after Jason.
