Super Island Tycoon
Chapter 1049 - 1048: Fear
So he went directly to the mansion of the boss on Delmar Planet.
Delmar Planet is so vast, he obviously can’t just search for two people in such a large area. It’s like finding a needle in a haystack, time-consuming and laborious.
But the boss’ mansion on Delmar Planet is different; it doesn’t have legs, so it won’t run around.
Thus, Jiang Cheng went directly to the boss’ mansion.
The boss’ mansion isn’t a place where you can just walk in, so when Jiang Cheng arrived at the gates and told the guard he wanted to see the boss, the guard arrogantly told him that the boss was unavailable and then ignored Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng is a straightforward person—it’s normal for the boss to be busy, after all, he is the boss. But I’m different; I’m not some damn boss, I have time. Since he’s busy and can’t come to me, I’ll just go find him.
Jiang Cheng proceeded to walk into the mansion.
Things escalated quickly; instantly, all guards at the mansion went on high alert, pointing their guns at Jiang Cheng.
A guard shouted at him, "Leave the mansion immediately, or face certain death!"
Jiang Cheng acted as if he hadn’t heard them and continued walking towards the mansion.
A gunshot rang out, and something appeared to protect Jiang Cheng’s body. Although it seemed to the guards that the beam had hit him, he was unfazed and continued forward.
All guns fired at Jiang Cheng simultaneously, and countless beams hit him. The shield around him deflected the beams, enveloping him in multicolored light.
The relentless attacks from the enemies angered Jiang Cheng, and with a mere thought, the guards lost track of their target.
The sudden change bewildered the guards; they rose from their shooting positions, looking around for the suddenly vanished target.
Jiang Cheng’s figure suddenly reappeared!
This time, however, he was no longer the target; rather, the guards became his targets.
Effortlessly, he snatched a few laser guns from the guards, pocketed over ten grenades, and began his counterattack.
His form flickered casually around the mansion, firing deadly beams at will, and with a mere flick of his wrist, grenades exploded precisely among the enemies.
The guards had never encountered someone like Jiang Cheng before. Some curled up like frightened mice, others hid in corners, the dead lay motionless, while the injured rolled on the ground in agony.
The entire mansion seemed like hell.
Soon, some of the more astute guards realized that although the intruder appeared to be firing randomly, the truth was that he retaliated against those who shot at him!
Gradually, the gunfire from the guards quieted down.
Since no one dared shoot at him or had the nerve to stop him from entering the mansion, Jiang Cheng slung his gun over his shoulder and casually walked into the boss’ mansion.
The guards at the mansion had suffered at Jiang Cheng’s hands, but others, like the mansion’s agents, hadn’t yet.
So, cursing the cowardly guards as cowardly and without blood-sacrifice spirit, they launched their attack on Jiang Cheng. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
On Jiang Cheng’s way to the boss’s office—this was his second time visiting the mansion, so he was quite familiar with the layout.
Agents continuously attacked Jiang Cheng in various ways, but to Jiang Cheng, these agents seemed even more ridiculous and dull compared to the guards.
Even though they died or were injured under Jiang Cheng’s power, they kept coming at him, resembling lunatics in their madness.
While Jiang Cheng was unwilling to kill too many, as he was human and not typically a killer; he wasn’t a butcher nor did he kill dogs or chickens. But since these agents seemed eager to die, Jiang Cheng reluctantly obliged.
Whenever they attacked Jiang Cheng, he ensured they couldn’t escape his counterattack.
Come one, and one would die; come a pair, and both would perish.
Jiang Cheng used various methods to end the lives of these agents.
During the massacre, his face remained emotionless, his eyes calm. In his view, the agents ranked below livestock.
Regardless of gender or age—agent or ordinary office worker—if they launched an attack on him, their fate was usually death!
Naturally, there were exceptions for those severely wounded; to those writhing on the ground in agonizing struggle, screaming their last cries, Jiang Cheng could only sincerely offer his condolences.
Jiang Cheng strolled through the mansion, leisurely as if taking a stroll in a garden.
Inside the boss’s office, several personnel watched the monitoring screens with the boss. Cold sweat constantly dripped from their heads, especially from the boss and their highest commander; everyone saw the terror and despair on their faces.
With powerful hands, they clutched a dagger, slowly extracting it.
The agent, in horror, realized the dagger was inching closer to his chest.
Bean-sized sweat droplets streamed down the agent’s face as he exerted all his strength fighting against the hand.
His resistance seemed laughable and powerless, forced only to watch helplessly as the dagger slowly embedded itself into his chest.
"No, please, I beg you." The agent couldn’t withstand his fear of death any longer and begged tearfully, "Please, spare me!"
"No, don’t, no
The scream of despair abruptly cut off; his cries turned into meaningless sounds as the dagger steadily and decisively pierced his chest.
The agent suddenly lost all strength; his body went limp as the dagger embedded deeply into his chest, leaving only the handle protruding.
The agent died without hearing Jiang Cheng’s parting words: "It’s too late now, sorry."
With a thud, Jiang Cheng released the still-warm corpse of the agent, letting it fall to the ground. No sooner had he revealed himself than several beams shot towards him.
Though the attacking agents were experienced combat veterans, when facing an unmatched expert like Jiang Cheng, their hearts raced with fear.
The brutal massacre constantly reminded them of their impending doom, and at the end of the day, they were human; being human, they possessed human weaknesses.
Terror permeated their minds; their madness was less about protecting the boss and more about safeguarding themselves.
The agents targeting Jiang Cheng were shocked to find the target that had been some distance away suddenly appeared beside them.
They hastily redirected their gun barrels, but even as fast as their movements were, Jiang Cheng’s speed was unmatched.
With a swift slap, a loud crack resonated as it struck an agent’s face, sending him flying. His body rolled through the air, and if any remaining agents took a moment to examine him, they’d notice his neck was limply hanging down at an eerie angle.
Before the corpse hit the ground, Jiang Cheng lunged to grab the hand of another agent.
