Supreme Doctor son-in-law Dad
Chapter 385: Crazy Fans_1
The next day, Ye Fei and Su Yueru dropped their daughter off at kindergarten and headed straight for the exhibition center.
Thinking about it, it had been a long time since the two of them had enjoyed such alone time together.
Ever since Su Yueru had moved her company to the Helix Tower, business had spiked significantly.
She was so busy that she hardly had any time to spare.
In fact, their trip to the exhibition center that day wasn’t for a date.
It was because the company was launching a new cosmetic brand, and Su Yueru wanted to check out the sales at the exhibition center, so she dragged Ye Fei along with her.
Upon arrival at the exhibition center,
The first thing that caught their eye was a giant poster for a stage play, along with various displays related to the play.
"’Return with the Wind’? Wow, I didn’t expect this troupe to hold their press conference here today? That’s great!"
Seeing the poster got Su Yueru excited.
"Do you like this play that much? Then let’s go watch it together someday."
"Yeah! Absolutely! But today, I have an even more important mission!"
"What mission?"
"To get an autograph!"
"Autograph? Whose autograph?" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Ye Fei slapped his forehead as he remembered.
"Oh, I know, I know! My dear wife is the number one fan of Jiang Haitao, the director of ’Return with the Wind,’ right?"
Su Yueru shrugged it off: "Fan is too strong a word. I just really like his style of directing for stage plays."
Ye Fei nodded, "Looks like the press conference is quite lively. How about we take care of our business first, then come back later to see if we can get an autograph or something?"
"Okay."
After discussing, they quickly walked towards the exhibition area.
Since it wasn’t the weekend, there weren’t many people at the exhibition center.
However, to Su Yueru’s delight, the area around their own booth was crowded.
A bevy of beauties, most of whom were trying out the new products, seemed very satisfied.
Several of them placed an order on the spot after trying them out.
"Hmm, looks like the new product is getting good reaction from the market."
After observing for a while, Su Yueru led Ye Fei to other competitive brands’ booths to learn and take notes.
With one thing leading to another, over half an hour had passed.
Su Yueru had completely forgotten about getting an autograph.
Ye Fei couldn’t help but shake his head sympathetically, thinking to himself, "My wife is such a workaholic, this can’t go on, she’ll exhaust herself. I’ll have to refine some nourishing pills later to help her recover."
"Hey, do we still want that autograph?"
Su Yueru suddenly remembered: "Oh, sorry, I completely forgot. Let’s go, they’ll be wrapping up soon."
Su Yueru took Ye Fei’s hand and happily ran towards the press conference area.
The press conference had just ended.
A horde of fans was surrounding the exit, clamoring for autographs.
The scene was explosive.
"Hai Tao! Sign one for me, I really love you!"
"Hai Tao! Darling! I’ve finally met you!"
"Hai Tao, you prodigy! ’Return with the Wind’, soar to new heights!"
The fans screamed and shouted, their voices hoarse as they jostled for position.
A few even lost their high heels in the commotion, and one unfortunate girl’s sticker bra came unstuck.
She covered her chest with one hand while still reaching out for an autograph with the other.
Ye Fei looked on, his mouth agape, thinking how terrifying this was. Was this the power of an idol?
Despite the fans’ enthusiasm, the celebrity, Jiang Haitao, had limited time.
After hastily signing a dozen autographs for appearance’s sake, he prepared to leave.
The fans who didn’t get an autograph looked gloomy and utterly disappointed.
But Su Yueru didn’t seem to mind. She just shrugged and smiled, "Well, it doesn’t matter. Even if we’d come earlier, it wouldn’t have made a difference with our ’combat capability’."
Ye Fei wholeheartedly agreed with his wife’s words.
"No worries, later I’ll ask Jiang Haitao to give us a private autograph session."
With Ye Fei’s connections, this small request was quite manageable.
But while he had said it without much thought, those listening didn’t take it so lightly.
The fans who hadn’t gotten an autograph were already in a foul mood.
When they overheard someone bragging next to them, their angry glares focused on him immediately.
"Buddy, go brag somewhere else, okay? Don’t show off here and annoy everybody!"
"Right, what’s with the bragging these days? Everyone loves to do it."
"If you could get a private autograph, why would you even bother coming here to squeeze in with us? I can’t respect someone like you, with no real ability but all the bragging."’
Ye Fei was left dumbfounded by the tirade.
Seeing her husband’s embarrassment, Su Yueru couldn’t help but giggle behind her hand.
Ye Fei, not wanting to explain himself to these irrational fans, could only spread his hands and put on a helpless expression.
Just then, a group of people in business suits strode through the entrance of the press conference, their steps steady and faces radiant.
Each person wore a badge around their neck.
A group of photographers jostled at the forefront, snapping pictures relentlessly.
Plus, about a dozen journalists followed, trying to circumvent the crowds for a chance at an interview.
Unfortunately for them, a circle of security guards protected the group, keeping the reporters at bay.
The sudden commotion at the entrance naturally drew the attention of onlookers,
including the cast of "Return with the Wind" who were about to leave but couldn’t resist turning back to look.
Director Jiang Haitao immediately recognized the commanding figure leading the group,
"Mu Kongwen?"
He quickly plastered a smile on his face and pushed through the crowd recklessly to reach him.
