Chapter 453: Exploring The New Dynamic

Majestic white armor materialized over the fire-resistant robes Michael wore.

The protective shell was awe-inspiring.

Pristine medieval armor clung to him akin to a sacred blessing, radiant like the star he stood upon. Its surface was cold and smooth to the touch, emitting a calming degree of harmony, as if crafted from the heavens themselves.

Though the soothing presence it carried did not detract from its protective qualities.

Whether it was his arms, feet, or torso, no blind spots were visible, except for the head, which remained the only part of Michael’s body left exposed.

He spent a few seconds marveling at the design before putting the armor to the test.

After clenching his fists, jumping, and stretching, Michael concluded that not only did the armor have no impact on his flexibility, but it also proved completely weightless.

Even the amplified gravity of the Sun barely had any effect. It was like he wasn’t wearing any attire.

Angel’s armor form truly behaved like an extension of his body rather than a mere tool.

"Fascinating..." Michael muttered in delight.

’Hehe...’ Angel was proud but kept it to herself.

Naturally, the other Lords immediately noticed when Michael was covered in a protective veil from head to toe, even more so when it reflected the light of the star.

Persephone squinted her eyes to adjust. "Where did you get this armor? It looks brighter than my future."

Michael met her gaze. "New ability... sort of."

"What a coincidence that you got it just now... it would have been useful in the fight against the serpent." Rosalie remarked, rolling her eyes as she continued on her way.

However, Persephone was not dropping the matter so easily.

"An armor, huh..." She giggled with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Why don’t we test it?"

Overhearing, Nicole’s eyes sharpened, openly warning Persephone not to push things too far.

While Nicole had Persephone to keep under control, Michael had Devil.

Yet surprisingly, Michael did not reject the opportunity outright. Checking the true capabilities of the armor would be best in a controlled environment such as this.

’What do you think, Angel?’ He asked through their telepathic connection.

Angel smiled inwardly, touched that Michael cared for her opinion. ’There is no problem. When this form is active, I don’t feel pain.’

Getting the confirmation he needed, Michael met Persephone’s stare.

"Go ahead."

That was all Persephone needed.

"Finally!"

The form of the Supreme Lord disappeared from his point of view.

’She was holding back severely during our duel.’ Michael realized, not surprised by the revelation. They were separated by two whole stages, after all.

At the time, he had only pushed her back because she had not gone all out and he had taken her by surprise.

Now, however...

Faster than a heartbeat, Persephone appeared before him, a thrilled smile playing on her face, her fist charging like thunder.

Understandably, Michael was swept off his feet and collided with the walls they were headed toward.

A heavy cloud of smoke rose from the point of impact. The vast majority of the Lords would have fallen within that single hit.

Elina gulped nervously, while Eliza’s eyes sharpened ever so slightly. Being Absolute Lords, they knew that taking such a blow head-on would render them on the brink of death. If that was the case, what about Michael, who was only a Transcendent Lord?

"Relax." Persephone exclaimed, her smile widening. "He won’t break that easily."

Just as she predicted, after several seconds of tense silence, a silhouette emerged from the smoke.

The armor showed no signs of wear, its pristine condition completely intact.

Still a bit dizzy, Michael cracked his neck.

"Remarkable."

Saying that he was content would be a vast understatement. Persephone had put everything into her strike, yet lest for the momentum, Michael hadn’t felt a single thing.

"That woman really has some bite..." Devil, still nonchalantly resisting on Michael’s shoulder, scoffed while gazing at Persephone.

Since Michael was measuring Angel’s new abilities, he decided to go all the way.

Dispelling the armor, he made her shift into an offensive form. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

[Angel]

[Shotgun Form]

[Rank: Mythic]

• Power: 1,000 → 5,000

The shotgun looked even more immaculate than before. The two golden wings, which protruded from its sides, had gained a new mesmerizing glow.

Naturally, the range of the hook had extended, and the firepower of the soul weapon had increased.

Finally, the last form.

[Angel]

[Shield Form]

[Rank: Mythic]

• Defense: 1,000 → 5,000

The shield had grown slightly thicker, while simultaneously weighing almost nothing in return.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Angel possessed a great deal of versatility.

The brighter Michael’s eyes gleamed, the darker Devil’s expression became.

"What kind of discrepancy is this?" He cursed. "So she is weaker than me yet gets four overall forms while I only get two? Merging with you doesn’t count!"

Michael raised an eyebrow. "You are capable of shapeshifting, though."

Devil clicked his tongue. "That doesn’t matter! When I’m a sword, I can’t alter my form no matter how hard I try!"

Angel assumed her physical form back, literally staring down at Devil shrunken to mascot size.

"Well, what did you expect? Your goal is mostly self-serving, while my aim is to aid Master in any way I can. It is only obvious that our evolutions would reflect that."

Devil met her stare. "Nowadays everybody is ungrateful. While you were just a mindless tool, I was the one saving Michael left and right! You can criticize me all you wish. However, I can bet that if you were to merge with him, you would just start to weep uncontrollably or some similar crap!"

Rendered speechless for the wrong reasons, Angel looked to the side shyly and began to curl a strand of her hair around her finger.

Fed up, Devil went back into Michael’s soul.

"Hopefully you wouldn’t mind if I were to follow his example... The recent battle has exhausted me quite a bit." Angel managed to say without stuttering and entered his soul before her calm demeanor could be compromised.

Michael didn’t blame them. They would certainly need time to get accustomed to the new dynamic.

Nevertheless, after Nicole ensured that Michael was truly unharmed after Persephone’s blow, they entered the inner ring of the Light Kingdom.

Bearing witness to the scenery, Noctis rubbed his eyes.

"Is it just me, or is the plasma flowing in the wrong direction?"
