Ever since the System had taken on the form of a fat furball, Wu Yue had grown much more indulgent toward it. Seeing its teary-eyed look, she immediately reached out and scooped it up.

The little furball was holding a half-eaten piece of salt ore in its front paws. With a GULP, it swallowed what was in its mouth, then opened its maw and let out a long string of "AWOOOO!"

After that, it even puffed out its chest proudly.

Wu Yue looked at the Snow Tiger Witch, completely baffled. "What is it saying?"

Before Yuan Lang could step forward, the Black Wolf Witch spoke up. "It’s this type of Poisonous Insect, identical to the one the little beast killed."

The Snow Tiger Witch frowned. "In that case, we need to see just what kind of power this Poisonous Insect has."

Hearing this, the Black Wolf Witch directly pulled forward the arm of the Beastman beside him. "Let’s test it on him."

Yuan Qi looked at his captured arm and rolled his eyes speechlessly, but he didn’t refuse. "Fine."

Wu Yue frowned. This Poisonous Insect was extremely bizarre; even the Black Wolf Witch had suffered considerably against it. Using a Beastman Warrior for a direct experiment was far too dangerous.

So, as soon as Yuan Qi finished speaking, Wu Yue immediately objected, "There’s no need to use a Beastman Warrior. We can just have the Beastmen go catch a Two Eared Beast to test it on."

His usually aloof and handsome face was now creased in pain, and fine beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.

Green witch power materialized in Wu Yue’s hands. She was about to press them against the Beastman’s chest, wanting to see if she could alleviate his pain.

But at the critical moment, the Snow Tiger Witch stopped her. "The Life Energy in your witch power is exactly what these Poisonous Insects love most. Let me do it."

Yuan Lang supported himself on the ground with one arm, his other arm still held in a protective stance over Wu Yue.

The moment after the Snow Tiger Witch restrained the Poisonous Insect, Yuan Lang opened his mouth and vomited a large mouthful of black blood.

The black blood splattered on the cave floor, and a foul stench instantly spread through the air.

The Snow Tiger Witch’s expression changed drastically. "Hold your breath! Get out, quickly! This smell is poisonous."

Bai Qi glanced at the Black Wolf Witch, gritted his teeth, and helped him head outside.

Xu Huwu looked at Wu Yue. "Go get the potion for expelling Poisonous Insects from the wooden bucket inside the cave."

Wu Yue scrambled to her feet. Her hands were trembling slightly, but the moment she gripped the wooden bucket, her hold was incredibly firm.
