Chapter 395: Chapter 350: The Tiger is Biased

The Black Wolf Tribe Leader remained at the Snow Tiger Tribe, organizing his people as they were brought over in batches by the Flying Eagle Tribe.

The Black Wolf Witch stayed behind with the rest of their tribe to hold down the fort.

The Black Wolf Tribe’s great migration lasted for about a week. The once-spacious clearing in front of the caves was once again packed with people.

With the arrival of the Black Wolf Tribe, the few captured Beastman Warriors from the Scorpion Tribe were allowed to dig their own caves into the cavern wall to live in.

"AHAHAHA! Tiger, I’m here! Long time no see!"

An exaggerated laugh boomed from the cave entrance. From the familiar voice, Wu Yue immediately knew who it was: the Black Wolf Witch.

This witch’s personality was quite different from the Snow Tiger Witch’s. He was something of a mischievous old prankster.

This time, however, the Black Wolf Witch was in a truly sorry state. His hair and beard were disheveled, and he looked as if he had aged several years.

The Snow Tiger Witch sighed softly and said irritably, "You old coot. Last time, you were bragging about how your tribe wouldn’t be flooded."

The Black Wolf Witch looked a little embarrassed. Not only had he bragged that his tribe wouldn’t be flooded, but he had also told the Snow Tiger Tribe to be careful not to get washed away by the floodwaters.

’Could the Snow Tiger Tribe have been blessed by the Beast God this year?’ he wondered.

But when he saw how close the floodwaters were to the Snow Tiger Tribe’s caves, that thought quickly vanished.

’A blessing? Impossible. In the past, the floodwaters only reached the foot of the mountain, but this year they’re about to engulf the caves. It can only mean this year’s flood is far more severe.’

Two Half beastmen brought warm water for the Black Wolf Witch to wash up, then served him a bowl of aromatic dough drop soup.

After downing the bowl of hot dough drop soup, the Black Wolf Witch finally felt alive again. "Whew, how long has it been since I was last here? Your tribe has food this delicious now?"

The Snow Tiger Witch stuck his chin out smugly. "This is nothing. We’ve been eating this for a long time."

Seeing the old coot’s smug expression, the Black Wolf Witch rolled his eyes and handed his stone bowl to a nearby Half beastman Warrior. "Another bowl."

The Half beastman Warrior took the stone bowl with a wide smile and left.

After devouring three bowls of dough drop soup, the Black Wolf Witch let out a satisfied belch, patting his stomach with a wry smile. "Finally, a full meal."

The Snow Tiger Witch chuckled. "Ending up in this state... you’re really one of a kind. In the past, even if you weren’t getting flooded, you’d still store food in the higher caves. How did things get so bad this year?"

The Black Wolf Witch sighed. "Remember last time, when we asked Yue to visit our tribe? The caves were collapsing so badly that no one knew which one would be next. Who would dare to dig out new storage spaces? I guess I was lazy, too. I figured the floodwaters wouldn’t reach our tribe anyway, so I didn’t pay it any mind. Who would’ve thought we’d get flooded this year!"

He let out another deep sigh.

The Snow Tiger Witch made a mental note. ’So it’s true, you really can’t afford to be lazy.’

Across from him, the Black Wolf Witch suddenly sat up straight, his expression turning serious. "Tiger, what’s the deal with those Scorpion Beastmen in your tribe?"

He practically ground his teeth as he said the words "Scorpion Beastman."

Because to him, the Scorpion Beastmen were synonymous with that detestable Worm Witch.

Seeing his furious expression, the Snow Tiger Witch chuckled. "That Worm Witch sent his Beastman Warriors to capture Wu Yue..."

After the Snow Tiger Witch finished explaining how Wu Yue had been captured, the Black Wolf Witch’s expression softened considerably.

"That Worm Witch’s Rank must be higher than ours. The last time I fought him, I could clearly feel his witch power was more refined and potent."

The Snow Tiger Witch nodded. "I sensed that as well."

The expressions on both witches grew much more solemn.

"Those Beastmen from the Scorpion Tribe said it was the Worm Witch who sent them to capture Yue," the Snow Tiger Witch said. "What I’m worried about now is that he’s already found out that Yue can capture his Poisonous Insects."

The Black Wolf Witch nodded, pondering for a moment. "You said before that Yue is a witch now. What is the nature of the witch power she awakened?"

Hearing this, the Snow Tiger Witch replied smugly, "The most powerful kind there is: Life Energy."

The Black Wolf Witch’s face filled with envy, but then, as if something occurred to him, his expression suddenly grew grave. "Tiger, I just realized... that damned Worm Witch sending people to capture Yue... I’m afraid he has other intentions."

His words made the Snow Tiger Witch think of something horrifying. "Are you saying... to incubate Poisonous Insects?"
