Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse With My Military System
Chapter 308: The Plan
"The operation we’re embarking on is codenamed ’Operation Ironclad Advance.’ The strategy is straightforward but demands flawless execution. Our primary objective is to secure a beachhead in Hong Kong through a multi-pronged amphibious assault. Utilizing a fleet of LPD (Landing Platform Dock) ships and AAVs (Amphibious Assault Vehicles), we’ll transport our ground forces across the West Philippine Sea, ensuring our marines can establish a foothold on the shores of Hong Kong.
Once ashore, we’ll initiate phase two: ’Clear Sky.’ This involves sweeping urban and surrounding areas to neutralize all hostiles—be they zombies, mutated, or otherwise—through combined arms tactics. We’ll be employing close air support from our AC-130 gunships and drone surveillance to identify and eliminate hotspots of undead activity. Our ground forces will be supported by M1 Abrams tanks and Stryker armored vehicles, providing the necessary firepower and protection to carry out clearing operations.
After securing Hong Kong, the city will be transformed into a strategic logistics hub—’ Fortress Gateway.’ We’ll establish a forward operating base (FOB), from which we can deploy rapid response teams and support services. This FOB will serve as our staging area for the next phase of the operation, enabling the smooth transit of personnel, weaponry, and supplies.
Our final move, ’Operation Dragon’s March,’ will see us advancing towards Beijing. Prior to launching any offensive, we will issue a broadcast to all survivors within the operational theatre, advising them to evacuate to designated safe zones. It’s imperative we minimize civilian casualties and maintain the moral high ground.
For the aerial and artillery bombardment phase, we’ll be deploying precision-guided munitions to disable key enemy strongholds, avoiding significant infrastructure damage where possible. We’ll rely on intelligence gathered by our recon teams and satellite imagery to pinpoint Lin Feng’s base of operations.
This operation requires tight coordination between our naval, ground, and air forces of the Blackwatch Private Military Company and the United States Armed Forces. If you have any questions, please share them now."
The moment Richard concluded his plan, President Barry raised a hand.
"Mr. Gonzales, do you even have the naval capabilities to transport a huge amount of your troops to Hong Kong?"
"We do have, Mr. President. Rest assured, if we have included something in the plan, then we have the resources necessary to execute it," Richard replied confidently.
"In that case, where will the United States Armed Forces come into play? Our army in the Pacific is in Hawaii while the rest is either in the Atlantic, Indian Ocean, and the Middle East."
Richard nodded, acknowledging President Barry’s question with the seriousness it warranted. "The United States Armed Forces will play a crucial role in augmenting our capabilities, particularly in terms of air power and logistical support. Our initial phase of mobilization will commence from the Philippines. It’s strategically positioned to serve as a launchpad for the operation, allowing us to pool our resources and synchronize our efforts efficiently."
He continued, detailing the logistical intricacies, "We’ll conduct a link-up operation in the Philippines. This will involve rendezvousing our forces with the U.S. Pacific Command assets currently stationed there. The plan is to integrate U.S. air and naval assets with Blackwatch’s ground forces, creating a unified task force. This includes leveraging USAF’s strategic airlift capabilities through C-17 Globemaster and C-130 Hercules aircraft for rapid deployment of troops and materiel."
"Once the forces are consolidated," Richard elaborated, "we’ll proceed with a joint operation to secure the maritime and aerial corridors leading to Hong Kong. U.S. Navy carrier strike groups will provide maritime security, ensuring safe passage for our amphibious assault ships and supporting vessels. This will be complemented by Aegis-equipped destroyers and cruisers for anti-air warfare (AAW) and ballistic missile defense (BMD) to counter any aerial or missile threats."
Richard further outlined the operational dynamics, "For the air superiority and close air support missions, we’ll rely on the U.S. Air Force’s F-22 Raptors and F-35 Lightning II fighters, stationed at bases in the region. These assets will ensure air dominance over the operational theater, providing critical support for ground operations. Assuming that you still have those forces active, Mr. President."
President Barry glanced at his senior staff and they shared a nod.
"Yes we can do that, Mr. Gonzales," Barry confirmed.
"Great, now onto the next matter at hand, about nuclear weapons. Well, I think at this point, if we want to rebuild the world, we shouldn’t use nuclear weapons haphazardly. So I propose that overwhelming Lin Feng through conventional means would be ideal for restoring the world we once knew. But should the situation escalate beyond our control and Lin Feng presents a threat that cannot be neutralized through conventional means, we may have to revisit the strategic use of tactical nuclear weapons as a last resort.
Richard shifted his focus to the tactical aspect of the operation. "Our ground forces will be employing the latest in urban warfare tactics, utilizing MOUT (Military Operations in Urban Terrain) techniques to clear densely populated areas of hostiles. This includes the use of drone technology for reconnaissance and surveillance, providing our forces with real-time intelligence on zombie movements."
"As for electronic warfare...it’s kind of useless. We have a reason to believe that Lin Feng communicates telepathically with his associates. But we’ll still deploy them just in case they use old-school two-way communication."
"For logistics and supply chains, we’re establishing a series of CSLs (Combat Service Support Locations) across our route of advance. These will ensure that our forward-deployed units are continuously supplied with ammunition, fuel, and medical supplies, maintaining operational momentum toward our objectives.
"In terms of coordination and command, we’ll be utilizing a Joint Operations Center (JOC) based out of our FOB in Hong Kong. This will serve as the nerve center for Operation Ironclad Advance, enabling seamless communication between all branches of the task force."
"Now, this may all look so complicated and complex, but I assure you it would all be seamless when put into action," Richard concluded. "The complexity of the operation reflects the scale of the threat we’re facing. But with meticulous planning and the combined might of Blackwatch and the U.S. Armed Forces, we’re more than capable of executing this plan efficiently. For the future of mankind, we shall emerge victorious!"
President Barry was silent for a moment, and then moments later, he spoke.
"Okay...my generals will review the plan and see if there’s a need for modification and revision, but nevertheless, this is a solid plan."
Richard nodded in agreement, ready to accommodate any adjustments that might be necessary. "We welcome the insights and expertise of your generals, Mr. President. The collaboration between Blackwatch and the United States Armed Forces is crucial to the success of Operation Ironclad Advance. We’re committed to making any necessary revisions to ensure the plan is as robust and effective as possible. That’ll be all."
