Chapter 326: Prelude to the Actual Invasion

Beijing, China.

Lin Feng tapped his foot as he looked into his system.

"So Vega, Maiden, and Zayra are dead huh? And they have successfully secured Hong Kong. What great news, they now have a staging ground for their invasion."

"This is a great concern for us, master," Su Xue stepped forward, expressing her concern. "With the Blackwatch and the United Forces now in Hong Kong, it’s only a matter of days before they get here."

"I know...but they’ll have to work their way up here," Lin Feng said confidently. "Before they could even reach Beijing, there won’t be any forces left for them to stop me."

"A Fabian strategy would be useful in our situation, master," Su Xue proposed.

"Fabian strategy?" Lin Feng repeated, unfamiliar with the word.

"Fabian strategy is a military strategy where we avoid direct confrontation with the enemy, focusing instead on wearing them down through a war of attrition and delaying tactics," Su Xue explained. "It means avoiding large battles and instead engaging in smaller, more manageable conflicts that sap the enemy’s strength and morale over time."

Lin Feng nodded thoughtfully. "A strategy of exhaustion... Yes, that could work in our favor. The longer we can delay them, the more time we have to strengthen our defenses and plan our countermeasures."

"Exactly, master. We can utilize guerrilla tactics, hit-and-run attacks, and sabotage operations to disrupt their supply lines and communication," Su Xue elaborated. "It will force them to spread their forces thin, making them vulnerable and less effective."

"I see," Lin Feng opened his system as he began purchasing a huge number of mutated zombies. Hunter, Goliaths, Flyers, and Juggernauts. All those four for now since they are the cheaper and somehow the most important forces available to him

He’d summon city to city, creating obstacles and diversions as the Blackwatch and United Forces advance. But as he was doing that, he realized something.

"Wait...our enemy is a system user, same as mine. Their losses could be easily replaced by Richard. So would the Fabian strategy work here?"

"Master...his summons are only humans, they are no match against your summons, which are monstrous beasts that have supernatural strength and agility. Even if they are inside a tank or a helicopter, they’d be no match if our beast can get to them."

"Well...that’s a good point. Anyways, master, should they get here, and we are on the verge of losing, get out of the city. I’ve already arranged several safe houses around the country for you to use as hideouts," Su Xue continued.

"Get out if we are losing?" Lin Feng scoffed. "I don’t think so. We’ll end this once and for all. It’s going to be me dying or the Blackwatch."

"So this is going to be our final battle huh?" Su Xue noted.

"Yes, Su Xue, this is going to be our final battle. It’s been dragging on for so long. Eliminate Blackwatch, and then our vision for this world will be fulfilled. If not, then well Richard is going to be a hero for the world," Lin Feng concluded.

Su Xue nodded, her expression serious. "Understood, master. I will ensure all preparations are in place. Our forces will be ready for their advance."

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong.

Blackwatch forces constructed a platform in the middle of the military base where Blackwatch and the United States Armed Forces are based. Thousands of Blackwatch troops and United States Forces were standing side by side, all heads high and eyes fixed on the platform where Richard was about to address them.

As Richard took his steps towards the podium, the crowd fell silent, their attention honed in on him. Reaching the podium, Richard scanned the crowd, his gaze reflecting a mixture of pride and resolve. He then began to speak.

"Everyone, we have conquered Hong Kong, and have set up a staging ground for our next operation to save humanity from extinction. Of course, it is without its loss. A lot of men died, Blackwatch and US soldiers. This wouldn’t be possible without their sacrifices. Let their bravery and dedication serve as a beacon for us all as we continue this fight," Richard solemnly stated, his voice steady, ensuring every word carried weight across the attentive audience.

He continued, "Our next phase is critical. We are going to march cities after cities, reclaim them, and make them free from zombies and Lin Feng’s influence until we reach Beijing. We will make sure that no zombies will ever tread upon this soil."

Richard paused for a moment, letting the gravity of his words sink in among the assembled forces. Then, with renewed vigor, he continued his speech, his voice projecting determination and hope.

"We stand on the brink of a new dawn. Each step we take towards Beijing is a step towards the future—a future where fear no longer holds dominion over our lives. A future where families can live without the dread of losing loved ones to the darkness that has engulfed our world. We are the architects of that future, and it is within our power to build it."

He gestured towards the soldiers, embodying the unity and strength that had brought them this far. "Look around you; see the resolve in your comrades’ eyes. It is the same resolve that has seen us through the darkest of times. It is the resolve that will see us to victory. Our path is fraught with peril, but we have faced peril before and emerged stronger."

Richard’s words stirred a palpable sense of purpose among the troops. He spoke of the sacrifices made, not just by those in uniform but by civilians who had endured unimaginable horrors. "We owe it to the fallen, to the survivors, and to future generations to end this nightmare. We will march, fight, and, if necessary, lay down our lives to secure a future free from the shadow of Lin Feng and his minions." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

The air was charged with energy as Richard reached the crescendo of his address. "So, let us march forward with unwavering resolve. Let our march be relentless, our spirit indomitable, and our purpose clear. We march for freedom, for peace, and the dawn of a new era. Together, we are invincible. Together, we will reclaim our world!"

The response was immediate and thunderous, a chorus of voices rising in agreement and determination.

The assembled soldiers, united by Richard’s invigorating speech, cheered and whistled, their morale boosted to new heights.

"Let’s march to Beijing!"
