Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse With My Military System
Chapter 331: It’s Beginning
Lin Feng stood atop the highest building in Beijing, his eyes scanning the horizon where the forces of Blackwatch and the United States Armed Forces were making their final approach. Distant rumbles of artillery and the whir of aircraft can be heard overhead.
"Interesting indeed," Lin Feng repeated. The strategy he had employed, a war of attrition designed to deplete the invaders’ resources and will, had ultimately failed. The Joint Forces had proven more resilient and resourceful than he had anticipated.
Su Xue, standing by his side, her expression stoic yet resolute, nodded in agreement. "It’s now or never, Master. This is where it’s going to end," she affirmed her loyalty to Lin Feng unwavering even in the face of the impending battle.
Lin Feng’s response was a roar, a declaration of his confidence in their victory. "And I intend to see myself emerging victorious out of it!" he proclaimed. Without hesitation, he extended his arms forward, channeling his dark powers. Black tendrils of biomass erupted from his hands, weaving together in a complex pattern to form a formidable shield. This barrier was his first line of defense against the onslaught of artillery shells that Blackwatch had begun to rain down upon their position.
The sky was alight with the fiery arcs of incoming projectiles, each one aimed with deadly precision at Lin Feng’s stronghold. But as they collided with the biomass shield, they were either deflected or absorbed, their explosive force nullified by the dark energy that Lin Feng commanded.
Despite the effectiveness of his shield, Lin Feng knew this was only the beginning. The Joint Forces would not be deterred so easily. They had come too far and sacrificed too much to be stopped by a single barrier, no matter how powerful. He glanced at Su Xue, a silent acknowledgment of the gravity of the situation. They were about to face the full might of an enemy that had fought its way across China, undeterred by the hordes of undead and the traps Lin Feng had laid in their path.
As the initial barrage of artillery fire subsided, Lin Feng could hear the distant roar of engines, signaling the approach of ground forces. Tanks, armored vehicles, and legions of soldiers were advancing, their movements coordinated.
He glanced at the sky and saw an AC-130 approaching, its silhouette menacing against the backdrop of a smoke-filled sky.
From its arsenal, the AC-130 unleashed a barrage of 105mm shells, each one aimed directly at Lin Feng’s position atop the building. Alongside the heavy shells, the rapid fire of its 25mm guns added to the onslaught, creating a relentless stream of projectiles aimed at breaking through Lin Feng’s defenses.
The black tendrils of Lin Feng’s barrier twisted and contorted, straining under the impact of the AC-130’s firepower. Each shell that struck the barrier caused it to shimmer and crack, pieces of the dark energy flaking away like chipped paint. Lin Feng stood firm behind his weakening shield, his concentration unwavering as he poured more of his energy into maintaining the barrier. Despite the barrier’s formidable appearance, it was clear that it was starting to give way under the continuous bombardment.
Su Xue watched anxiously, aware that even Lin Feng’s formidable powers had their limits. "Master, the barrier won’t hold much longer at this rate," she cautioned, her voice tense with concern.
"Do not falter, for this is easy," Lin Feng calmly said as he controlled a spear-shaped biomass not far from him, aimed towards the AC-130. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
He launched it at supersonic speed towards the AC-130. The spear tore through the air, its speed so great it was barely visible, headed straight for the aircraft.
As the spear impacted, it sliced cleanly through one of the wings of the AC-130, the force of the attack causing a catastrophic failure. Metal groaned and shrieked as the wing was severed, sending the aircraft into an uncontrollable spin. The crew inside scrambled, their training kicking in as they attempted to stabilize the plane and assess the damage, but the loss of a wing made it an impossible task. The AC-130 began to descend rapidly, a trail of smoke marking its path toward the ground.
Lin Feng watched as the aircraft fell, a grim satisfaction on his face. Moments later, the AC-130 exploded mid-air, the shockwaves from it could be felt from where Lin Feng stood. The destruction of the AC-130 was a significant blow, but Lin Feng was well aware that this was only a part of the extensive arsenal at the Joint Forces’ disposal. He turned to Su Xue, signaling that they needed to prepare for the next wave of attacks.
"Their air power is formidable, but not invincible," Lin Feng remarked. "They will come with more, and we must be ready."
Su Xue nodded, her expression determined. "What are your orders, Master?"
"We fortify our position here. Enhance the barriers and set up more defenses. They will not find us easy prey," Lin Feng instructed. As he spoke, he gestured with his hands, manipulating the dark energy around them to strengthen their defenses.
Meanwhile, on the ground, the advancing Joint Forces were regrouping after witnessing the destruction of the AC-130. Commanders were issuing orders, adjusting their strategies in real-time to compensate for the loss and to anticipate Lin Feng’s next move. The tanks halted momentarily, adjusting their positions, while the infantry took cover, waiting for the next phase of the assault.
"Okay, it’s time that we pay this man a visit," Richard said, glancing at Graves.
"For real this time? We are going to beat the shit out of him?" Graves asked.
"Yeah...let’s hope that our arsenal is enough..."
"Speaking of arsenal, I’m still waiting for one," Graves said. "We are going to deploy them in this battle right?"
"Of course...speaking of which, they are probably above us right now," Richard said.

Meanwhile, in the airspace of Beijing. Ten C-17 Globemaster flew in formation, and their rear cargo ramp opened, signaling the deployment phase. From each of the massive aircraft, Mecha robots, began dropping into the battlefield.
As they landed, the ground beneath them trembled. The Mecha units, once on the ground, quickly shed their parachutes and activated their combat protocols. Each robot, standing several meters tall, was a formidable force, equipped with plasma cannons, missile launchers, and reinforced steel armor capable of withstanding heavy firepower. Their presence on the battlefield was a surprise from the United States forces. They never anticipated that one coming.
"There’s no way they are going to miss this fight," Richard said.
