Teasing Her Beast Husbands Until They Fall Hard
Chapter 124: If You Really Like Me, Come See Me
Su Yaoyao was at a loss. The first thing that came to mind was to send a gift.
After all, in her opinion, the most direct way for a fan to express their affection was to send the streamer a gift.
So, without hesitation, she pressed the send gift button. Bouquets of vibrant virtual roses rained down on Lucia’s screen. A cascade of flashy sound effects rang out as the entire display was filled with the magnificent flowers.
Lucia watched the rose effects fill his screen, his heart blooming with joy, but he still said haughtily, "How superficial." Even so, the captivating light swirling in his golden pupils betrayed his inner delight.
Then, Lucia had another idea. He felt that the only way for Su Yaoyao to truly prove her affection was to attend his autograph session.
Of course, the bigger reason was that he himself had grown interested in Yaoyao. ’I wonder what the person behind this ID looks like.’
So, he typed into his Light Computer, "I’m holding an autograph session next week. If you really like me, then come meet me. Only then will I believe you."
"An autograph session?" Su Yaoyao felt a flicker of interest as she read the message. She slowly typed, "Where will it be?"
Lucia immediately sent Su Yaoyao the event poster, along with a sticker of a little angry fox. The fox’s cheeks were puffed out, making it look adorable yet peeved.
"See? You really don’t care about me. The event’s been promoted for half a month, and you still didn’t know," Lucia sent another message, his tone full of grievance.
Su Yaoyao studied the poster and was surprised to see the event was located right in the Imperial City.
She mused to herself, ’The peace talks were handled smoothly. After I report back to His Majesty Augustine, I should have some free time next week.’
Besides, she was also looking forward to meeting such a handsome and charming streamer in person. So, she replied, "Okay, I’ll definitely be there."
The moment Su Yaoyao agreed, Lucia got so excited that his fox tail popped out and began to wag.
He immediately replied, "Then it’s a date! Don’t be late! I’ll prepare a special gift for you." After sending the message, he began to imagine Su Yaoyao’s stunned expression when she saw him in person, and the smile on his lips grew even more alluring.
Reading Lucia’s reply, Su Yaoyao felt a faint sense of anticipation stir within her.
However, a thought of her status made her worry.
She genuinely enjoyed Lucy’s streams, but attending an autograph session as the Empire Holy Female would inevitably cause a commotion and unnecessary trouble.
’But it should be fine as long as I wear a little disguise.’
...
The Flying Ship carrying Su Yaoyao and her party landed slowly on a platform in the Imperial City. The cabin door opened, and Su Yaoyao stepped out, followed by Bai Lian, Reg, Pani, and Noah.
The magnificent architecture of the Imperial City gleamed in the sunlight. A familiar feeling washed over her, but Su Yaoyao’s heart was filled with a complex mixture of longing for home and the weight of her duty.
They headed straight for the Imperial Palace. Along the way, citizens on the streets watched them with gazes of curiosity and respect.
Su Yaoyao was the Empire Holy Female, and she had just traveled to Snake Scale City to conduct peace talks. The people were all eagerly awaiting the results.
Upon entering the Imperial Palace, they proceeded down a wide, opulent corridor. The exquisite murals and priceless decorations on all sides seemed to silently recount the Empire’s glorious history.
Soon, they arrived outside His Majesty Augustine’s audience hall.
After being announced, they entered the hall.
His Majesty Augustine sat upon his high throne, dressed in magnificent robes and wearing the crown that symbolized his supreme authority.
A flicker of anticipation crossed his eyes as he saw Su Yaoyao and her party enter.
Su Yaoyao stepped forward first, bowed respectfully, and said, "Your Majesty, we have returned from Snake Scale City. The peace negotiations were a success."
Augustine nodded slightly, signaling for her to continue.
Su Yaoyao took a deep breath and reported the details of the negotiations in a clear, organized manner. "Your Majesty, we entered into deep discussions with Mingye regarding the terms of the treaty. After several rounds of intense yet candid talks, we finally reached an agreement.
"Snake Scale City has pledged to cease selling advanced weaponry to other planets and to halt all dangerous trades that could incite interstellar instability. In return, the Empire will provide a degree of economic and resource support to Snake Scale City, aiding its development and fostering friendly relations and mutual prosperity between our two powers."
Upon hearing her report, a pleased smile appeared on His Majesty Augustine’s face. He looked at Su Yaoyao with approval and said, "Yaoyao, you have performed exceptionally well, rendering a great service to the peace and stability of the Empire."
"Snake Scale City’s cessation of these dangerous trades is of great significance to the security of the Empire, and indeed the entire interstellar community. As for our support for them, I will have the relevant departments arrange for its implementation immediately."
Su Yaoyao bowed again. "Thank you for your praise, Your Majesty. It was the result of everyone’s combined efforts."
Augustine nodded. He looked at the group and said, "You’ve all had an arduous journey. Go and get some rest."
Su Yaoyao and the others bowed once more in thanks. Just as Su Yaoyao was about to leave, Augustine called out, "Yaoyao, stay behind."
Su Yaoyao paused, a flicker of confusion in her mind, but she nodded obediently.
Bai Lian and the others exchanged glances. Though they were puzzled, they could only bow respectfully and exit the audience hall, gently closing the door behind them.
Augustine slowly descended from his high throne. His steps were steady and elegant, each one seemingly imbued with boundless majesty.
He walked up to Su Yaoyao and gently took her hand, his movements delicate and careful, as if he were afraid of hurting her. "This journey has been hard on you. You look exhausted," he said, his voice low and rich like a spring breeze. "Let me take you to the Spiritual Spring."
"Hm?" Before Su Yaoyao could react, her body was already moving, involuntarily following Augustine’s lead.
They walked along a winding corridor. All around them was silent, save for the soft echo of their footsteps in the empty hall.
Feeling the warmth from Augustine’s hand, a strange flutter went through Su Yaoyao’s heart.
Soon, they arrived at a spring.
The spring was encircled by lush, green vegetation, and swirling mist gave the place a dreamlike quality.
The water was a faint blue, glittering with a captivating sheen under the light, like a deep pool of liquid gems.
Augustine released Su Yaoyao’s hand and walked to the edge of the spring. He dipped a hand in to test the temperature, then nodded in satisfaction.
"The temperature is perfect. This Spiritual Spring doesn’t just soothe physical and mental fatigue; soaking in it long-term can also improve one’s constitution. It will be greatly beneficial for your spiritual power as well." He turned to Su Yaoyao, a hint of adoration in his eyes.
