Teasing Her Beast Husbands Until They Fall Hard
Chapter 43: Reg is Angry
Bai Lian looked at Su Yaoyao in his arms, his heart filled with remorse.
He had torn her clothes to shreds while out of control, leaving her barely covered. Su Yaoyao’s eyes were shut tight, her face as pale as paper. She was so weak she seemed lifeless.
Bai Lian’s heart burned with anxiety. His panicked gaze swept across the room, finally landing on the heavy curtains.
He charged over, and with a sudden exertion of strength and a sharp RIIIP, he tore the curtains from their rod.
He quickly yet gently wrapped the curtain around Su Yaoyao, his movements careful and urgent. He held her as if she were the most precious and fragile treasure in the world, terrified of hurting her in the slightest.
Outside the door, Reg and Pani were pacing back and forth, their hearts filled with anxiety.
They strained their ears, listening for any movement within. Every subtle sound made their hearts pound with tension.
When the sounds from inside finally subsided, they subconsciously met each other’s eyes and let out a collective sigh of relief.
But the relief was fleeting, immediately replaced by a deep wave of worry that washed over them.
They knew all too well about Su Yaoyao’s special constitution. After such an intense and intimate encounter with unknown consequences, her physical condition was deeply troubling.
The two of them hovered uncertainly at the door, wrestling with the decision to go inside.
They wanted to confirm Su Yaoyao’s condition immediately, but they also worried about barging in and seeing the young female’s naked body.
Just as they were hesitating, the door was thrown open, and Bai Lian emerged carrying Su Yaoyao.
Bai Lian had shed his beast-like features. Now in human form, his face was etched with anxiety and self-reproach.
Reg’s and Pani’s gazes were both fixed on the woman in Bai Lian’s arms.
Her face was ashen, her bloodless lips trembled slightly, and messy strands of hair clung to her sweat-dampened cheeks. She looked so fragile that a gust of wind might knock her over.
Seeing her state, both men sucked in a sharp breath. They could already imagine how intense the "battle" had been.
Bai Lian’s usually steady voice now held an almost imperceptible tremor. "Pani, examine Su Yaoyao. Now."
Pani didn’t dare delay for a second. "Right," he said, nodding quickly.
The three of them rushed toward the medical bay. Bai Lian’s pace was quick and determined, and he clutched Su Yaoyao protectively in his arms, as if he could shield her from all pain and lend her his strength.
Once they arrived at the medical bay, Pani threw himself into his work, skillfully operating the complex and precise instruments.
Bai Lian and Reg stood to one side, their eyes glued to the monitor, not daring to look away for even a second. Their gazes were filled with worry and tension, as if the flickering data on the screen held their only hope.
As the instruments hummed, the test results began to appear on the screen.
"She overexerted herself soothing you. Her spiritual power is completely depleted, which is why she’s unconscious," Pani said, his brow furrowed and his expression grave.
Bai Lian’s expression grew even more tense. He took a step forward and asked urgently, "Will she be all right?"
"It’s much more serious than last time. I don’t think she’ll wake up right away; she’ll need to rest for a few days. Also..." Pani’s face flushed crimson, and his eyes darted away as he trailed off, clearly hesitant to continue.
Veins bulged on Reg’s forehead. He took a large stride forward and roared, "Just say it!"
Pani took a deep breath, as if mustering every ounce of his courage, before finally forcing the words out. "The young female... she has some tearing... She can’t mate again anytime soon."
Bai Lian’s face went deathly pale, his eyes filling with self-blame and anguish. "I lost control," he said, his voice low and hoarse.
Hearing this, Reg’s eyes narrowed into dangerous slits. His gaze fell on Su Yaoyao’s bloodless face, then to the conspicuous bite mark on her neck. With a WHOOSH, the rage in his heart ignited.
No longer able to suppress his fury, he clenched his fist and drove it hard into Bai Lian’s face.
Rationally, he knew that Bai Lian would have had a hard time controlling himself in that state.
But seeing with his own eyes how Su Yaoyao had been tormented into this weakened state, he couldn’t suppress the fire in his heart.
Bai Lian’s face was grim. He didn’t move to defend himself, simply taking the punch.
A trickle of blood oozed from the corner of his mouth, but he seemed to feel nothing. He just silently endured it, his eyes filled with guilt for what he’d done to Su Yaoyao.
Just then, Pani rushed forward to mediate. "For the Admiral to keep himself from going completely berserk in that situation was already a feat."
After a pause, he looked at Bai Lian. "Let me examine you."
"I’m fine. In fact, I feel full of energy, like my power has grown much stronger." Bai Lian’s brow furrowed slightly as he clenched his fist, puzzled by the strange change in his body.
But right now, only Su Yaoyao’s safety mattered. Nothing else was important.
When Reg heard this, his anger flared even hotter. He roared:
"Of course you’re fine! Yaoyao’s the one who suffered! Soothing a Second Order *and* a Third Rank’s spiritual power at the same time—how could her small body possibly withstand such a massive drain!"
Reg’s voice was raw with agitation, every word laced with endless fury and heartache.
"She gave her all to help you, and now she’s so weak she’s unconscious, but you’re standing here talking about how energetic you feel?"
With that, Reg raised his fist again, looking as if he were about to swing at Bai Lian.
But his hand stopped in mid-air. He couldn’t bear to make things worse while Su Yaoyao was unconscious and Bai Lian was already drowning in guilt.
His chest still heaved violently as he gasped for breath, trying to suppress the turmoil inside him.
He shot Bai Lian a venomous glare and snorted, his expression a mixture of anger, resentment, and anguish.
Then, he strode to Su Yaoyao’s bedside and sat down, his movements gentle yet urgent.
He slowly reached out, as if afraid of disturbing her slumber, and carefully took her hand in his.
He pressed her slender, bloodless hand to his cheek, feeling the faint warmth of her body. The rims of his eyes reddened without him noticing.
"Yaoyao, I’ll never tease you again. Please, just wake up, okay?" Reg’s voice was low and hoarse, trembling with a desperate plea.
His gaze rested gently on Su Yaoyao’s pale face as he softly caressed the back of her hand with his thumb, as if he could transfer his own strength to her and wake her.
"Don’t you like playing with the Little Black Panther? He’s waiting for you. He misses you so much. He can’t sleep unless you’re holding him."
Reg gently nuzzled her palm, his movements infinitely gentle, terrified of causing her even the slightest pain.
"Yaoyao, please wake up..." Reg’s voice trailed off into a choked sob.
