"What plant?!" Reg and Bai Lian asked in unison, the flames of hope instantly igniting in their eyes.

Pani frowned, trying hard to recall the contents of the book.

"It’s called... the Snow Spirit Flower. It’s a Spirit Plant that grows in the Land of Extreme Cold. But that place is fraught with danger. Not only are there all kinds of ferocious mutant beasts, but the environment is also treacherous and unpredictable. Going there is a near-suicidal mission."

"I’ll go!" Bai Lian and Reg shouted at almost the same time. They looked at each other, a trace of determination flashing in their eyes.

"I am her partner. I can’t just stand by and watch something happen to her." After their recent intimacy, Su Yaoyao was his one and only wife, a person he would protect with his life.

A resolute look filled Bai Lian’s eyes. "No matter how dangerous it is, I will bring the Spirit Plant back."

Reg gritted his teeth. "I’m going too. An extra person means extra strength. We have to be as fast as possible. We can’t let Yaoyao be in any danger."

Reg’s voice trembled slightly, and his eyes reddened involuntarily, filled with anxiety and pain.

For him, doing nothing here was more painful than death.

Pani looked at their determined expressions with mixed feelings, thinking to himself, ’If only I were a Combat Beastman, I could go with them into danger.’

After a moment of silence, he spoke slowly, "Alright, you two should go. I’ll take good care of Yaoyao at the base and wait for your return."

The two of them quickly packed their bags, ready to depart immediately.

Just as they were about to step out of the medical room, Pani suddenly called out to them. "Wait. I have some emergency communicators here, take them. If you run into danger, you must notify me at once." As he spoke, he handed several small devices to Bai Lian and Reg.

Bai Lian accepted them solemnly and tucked them away.

Reg, however, was burning with impatience, constantly urging, "Hurry up. Every second we delay puts Yaoyao in more danger."

When they walked out of the medical building, the sky outside had already begun to darken. The gloomy clouds hung low, as if foreshadowing the hardships and obstacles to come.

They boarded a specially modified aircraft and sped off toward the Land of Extreme Cold.

Pani stood on the base’s landing pad as a bitter wind howled past, whipping his hair about freely.

’You have to come back safely.’

Along the way, fierce winds howled, and the aircraft bucked violently in the turbulence.

Bai Lian gripped the controls tightly, his brow furrowed as he stared intently ahead.

Reg sat beside him, his fingers unconsciously drumming on the armrest, his eyes filled with anxiety.

Finally, they reached the edge of the Land of Extreme Cold. The aircraft could fly no further.

The moment they stepped off the aircraft, a bone-chilling wind cut at them like knives. Snow filled the air, instantly blurring their vision.

Bai Lian and Reg quickly put on heavy cold-weather gear, donned special goggles, and, weapons in hand, cautiously advanced into the depths of the Land of Extreme Cold.

They hadn’t gone far before they encountered their first danger.

A pack of enormous Ice Wolves burst out of the snowy mist. Their eyes glimmered with a faint green light, and their sharp fangs glinted coldly in the snow’s reflection.

The Ice Wolves formed a semicircle and slowly closed in, letting out low growls as if warning the intruders.

Bai Lian and Reg stood back-to-back, ready for battle.

Bai Lian said in a low voice, "Reg, be careful. These Ice Wolves are ferocious. Don’t let them injure you."

Reg tightened his grip on his weapon and nodded in response. "Don’t worry, I won’t hold you back. We have to finish them off quickly and find the Spirit Plant."

The words had barely left his mouth when an Ice Wolf launched the first attack, leaping high and pouncing toward Bai Lian.

Bai Lian quickly sidestepped, simultaneously swinging his weapon and firing an Energy Beam at the Ice Wolf.

The Ice Wolf agilely dodged and attacked again.

In an instant, Beastman and mutant beast were locked in a fierce battle across the icy landscape. The roars of the Ice Wolves and the boom of weapons intertwined, shattering the silence of the Land of Extreme Cold.

The Ice Wolves were fearless, lunging forward wave after wave.

The more Bai Lian and Reg fought, the fiercer they became. Their attacks were swift and precise, each strike injuring an Ice Wolf.

"We can’t keep this up, we have to end this quickly!" Reg shouted, his eyes revealing his anxiety. The weapon in his hand flashed as he continuously repelled the approaching Ice Wolves.

Bai Lian’s gaze sharpened as he suddenly spotted the Wolf King among the pack. It was nearly twice the size of a normal Ice Wolf and was directing the attack from the rear. "Attack the Wolf King! Without their leader, they’ll fall into chaos!"

Bai Lian roared, and a white light flared around him. He instantly transformed into a magnificent White Lion, his mane rustling in the cold wind. He then focused all his power and fired several powerful Energy Beams at the Wolf King.

Reg was completely stunned. Beastmen have always admired strength, and the immense power contained within those Energy Beams made his heart suddenly pound and his breath quicken.

"So this is SSS-level..."

Reg muttered to himself, his voice filled with an undisguised sense of awe and reverence.

They ultimately succeeded in killing the Wolf King. Having lost their leader, the Ice Wolves immediately fell into disarray and fled.

Bai Lian and Reg let out a long sigh of relief and sat on the ground to rest.

The sweat soaking their backs instantly froze into ice in the extreme cold.

"No, we can’t rest for long. We have to find the Spirit Plant as soon as possible." Bai Lian panted, but his voice was still steady and strong as he got to his feet with a long stride.

Reg also stood up, brushing the snow off his clothes, his gaze firm. "Right. Who knows how many more dangers are waiting for us in this Land of Extreme Cold."

They pressed on. The temperature around them dropped lower and lower, and the fierce wind, carrying a blizzard with it, threatened to swallow them whole. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

During their arduous trek, they discovered a massive iceberg ahead. The iceberg emitted an eerie blue glow, and faint fluctuations of a mysterious power emanated from it.

"This iceberg is strange. The Spirit Plant might be inside," Bai Lian said, pointing at the iceberg.

The two cautiously approached the iceberg, only to find it was surrounded by a powerful Energy Barrier, preventing them from getting any closer.

A fierce glint flashed in Reg’s eyes. He raised his weapon, gathered all his strength, and struck the barrier with all his might. The powerful recoil sent him staggering back several steps, but he quickly steadied himself, the fighting spirit in his eyes burning even brighter.

"This barrier is really tricky. It doesn’t seem natural, more like it was made with technology. What should we do?"

Reg’s brow furrowed tightly as he stared at the iceberg emitting its eerie blue light, his eyes filled with frustration and contemplation.

He reached out, his fingertips gently touching the invisible Energy Barrier. A powerful electric current instantly shot up from his finger. He snatched his hand back as if shocked, his brow furrowing even more tightly.
