Teasing Her Beast Husbands Until They Fall Hard
Chapter 86: Retreat
Under the crushing weight of this immense spiritual power, a deathly silence descended upon the battlefield. Only Su Yaoyao’s voice echoed in the night sky, "Enough! All of you, stop!"
Under the immense pressure of her spiritual power, Noah’s colossal body seemed to be yanked by an invisible, gigantic force. He instantly shrank, forced back into his human form.
He clutched the stump of his right arm tightly with his left hand. Blue blood gushed from the wound like a bursting dam, a horrifying sight to behold.
His face was a mask of pain and unyielding resentment. Large beads of sweat rolled down his cheeks, dripping into the blood and grime on the ground.
Bai Lian was also unable to resist this power and was forced to revert from his White Lion form.
He was forced to one knee, which sank deep into the mud. His forehead was beaded with sweat as he struggled to look up at Su Yaoyao, his eyes filled with worry.
Reg was also pinned in place, his lips trembling slightly. "...Yaoyao, pull back your spiritual power."
’He was afraid she would overuse her spiritual power and fall into a coma again.’
Roland and the members of the Holy Knight Order were also being crushed by the pressure, struggling to breathe. They had never felt such overwhelming spiritual power, and their hearts filled with awe for this mysterious woman.
Su Yaoyao got down from Pani and slowly walked forward. A golden light, like a tangible curtain, radiated outward with her every step.
"Yaoyao, don’t go! It’s dangerous." Veins bulged on the back of Pani’s hands, but he was unable to break free of her control and could only watch helplessly as Su Yaoyao stepped onto the battlefield.
There was no anger in Yaoyao’s eyes, only endless sorrow and exhaustion. "Beastmen of Snake Scale City, soldiers of the Empire, we are all children of this continent. Why must there be war? Why must we solve our problems with bloodshed?"
Her voice echoed across the battlefield, each word like a heavy hammer blow against the hearts of all who heard it.
Su Yaoyao turned, her gaze sweeping over everyone on the battlefield before it came to rest on Roland.
"Snake Scale City and the Empire haven’t reached a point of mutual destruction. They are merely fighting for survival. I believe we can negotiate a peaceful resolution."
Roland glared viciously at Mingye, gritting his teeth. "Snake Scale City is the Empire’s greatest threat," he said, enunciating each word. "It must be eliminated. We absolutely cannot pass up this perfect opportunity."
Su Yaoyao’s brow furrowed, and she pressed down on him harder. "If you don’t order a retreat, don’t even think about getting off the ground."
In that instant, a surging wave of spiritual power slammed into Roland with the force of a tidal wave.
Roland’s entire body was crushed to the ground by the invisible force.
He struggled desperately, his hands straining against the ground, the muscles in his arms bulging as he tried to resist the terrifyingly powerful force.
But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t move an inch.
Shock and resentment were written all over his face. ’How could the seemingly fragile Su Yaoyao suppress him so easily?’ "This... How is this possible!"
Su Yaoyao slowly walked toward Mingye. "Thank you for taking care of me, Mingye. But I have to go back to the Imperial City. There are things I need to do." Her voice was gentle, yet left no room for argument.
Mingye’s gaze instantly turned fierce and crazed. "Have you forgotten our agreement? You said you would stay by my side for ten years, and now you’re leaving with them?" His voice trembled with rage.
Roland, still struggling, managed to speak. "His Majesty gave me two tasks. The first was to bring Miss Su safely back to the Imperial City. The second was to conquer Snake Scale City.
If Miss Su refuses to return to the Imperial City, I will not retreat!"
He was keenly aware of the weight of his responsibility. As a general of the Empire, he had to complete the mission His Majesty had given him and uphold the Empire’s dignity and honor.
If he failed at both tasks, how could he possibly return to report to His Majesty?
Su Yaoyao knew she had to return to the Imperial City. She looked at Mingye again, her eyes full of sincerity and resolve.
"I won’t forget our ten-year agreement. Whenever you need me to soothe you, I will fulfill my promise. But right now, I must work for peace on this continent."
As she spoke, Su Yaoyao slowly approached Mingye and gently pressed her forehead against his, transferring a wave of soothing spiritual power to him. "Trust me," she said. "This is for the good of everyone."
Carrying her promise and concern, this wave of spiritual power instantly reset Mingye’s Rage Value to zero.
Mingye’s eyes flickered. His once fierce and crazed gaze softened. The fire burning in his heart was gradually extinguished by the warm spiritual power, replaced by a trace of loss and reluctance.
Su Yaoyao then went to Noah. He was already in tears, which streamed down his face like a bursting dam.
Like a helpless child, he pleaded in a choked voice, "Sister, don’t go. Don’t leave me. I’ll never lie to you again. If there’s anything you don’t like about me, I’ll change it. Sister, I’m begging you, please don’t go."
Su Yaoyao looked at his bloody, mangled stump, and her heart clenched with a sharp, aching pain.
She raised a hand and gently caressed his cheek, tenderly wiping away his tears while continuously channeling her spiritual power into him as a balm.
"Noah, my spiritual power can’t heal your physical wounds. I’m so sorry. You have to take good care of yourself."
Noah affectionately nuzzled her palm. Her warmth gradually calmed his frantic, restless heart, but it remained filled with sorrow and a desperate unwillingness to let her go.
After resetting Noah’s Rage Value to zero, Su Yaoyao concluded her farewell.
She walked quickly over to Bai Lian and Reg. Her eyes shimmered with the emotional tears of a long-awaited reunion as she opened her arms without hesitation and pulled them into a tight embrace.
"Let’s go home." Her voice was choked with emotion, yet filled with happiness and relief. At that moment, she was finally back with the ones she loved most, basking in the warmth of home.
Bai Lian and Reg hugged Su Yaoyao back tightly, their bodies trembling slightly as they took in her warmth.
"Yaoyao, you’re finally back," Bai Lian’s voice trembled.
Reg’s eyes were also red-rimmed. "We were all so afraid something terrible had happened to you. Thank goodness..."
Their wife, the one they had missed and worried about day and night, had finally returned.
Su Yaoyao started walking toward the Flying Ship, slowly retracting the pressure of her spiritual power as she went.
Though she was weary, her steps were filled with resolve.
Bai Lian and Reg flanked her, following closely like loyal guards ready to protect her at a moment’s notice.
Pani followed them, his eyes filled with relief. ’Yaoyao is even stronger than before.’
After him came more soldiers, following in neat formation. The sound of their footsteps echoed across the silent battlefield, their figures resolute and strong under the moonlight.
Roland got to his feet. Behind him, only the Holy Knight Order he commanded remained.
His heart was filled with resentment and helplessness. He gritted his teeth, and finally, with extreme reluctance, gave the order: "Retreat!"
