Whereas Mika was facing Sowa and the other demons, including Gerard, Belian also had his hands full with the demons in front of him.

"Among all the humans I’ve encountered, this one seems different." a demon, who was void of any emotions, stated.

Belian was surrounded by 7 demons. 4 from the B-rank and 3 A-rank demons.

The B-rank demons were tense while the other three demons observed Belian calmly.

"Look at his relic." another demon pointed out indifferently.

The third demon sighed.

"Leave that boy to us and head to the castle." that demon added, addressing the four B-ranks.

The B-ranks turned to the demon and looked at him confusedly.

"As if I would let you pass."

At that moment, Belian drew his sword and swiftly closed the distance between him and the four demons.

"?!"

The demons immediately raised their arms out of reflex and tried to activate their abilities, however, Belian was faster than them and swung his sword once.

And with that sole sword slash, he hit every one of them.

"..."

The three A-rank demons narrowed their gazes sternly as they watched their comrades’ bodies getting torn off by a single cut.

"Hurry up and get down." Belian commanded seriously.

His gaze shortly shifted to the castle which was under the attack of at least 10 demons.

Mika and Belian may have been able to distract and kill the majority of the army, however, 10 demons was still a large number of demons to defend against. Thus, Belian and Mika initially wanted to deal with as many demons as possible in order to provide support for the defense line.

"It’s unbelievable how cocky one can get..."

"Don’t think you can deal with us that easily like those fools..."

"Let’s show him the power of an actual demon...!"

Belian felt the heavy pressure but he still remained firm and pointed his sword at them.

At the same time, Rachel and the others were already in the midst of an intense battle.

Around ten demons with 3 A-rank demons among them attacked the castle.

It was not long ago when the demons arrived and yet, it was clear that the defense could not hold on for much longer. In the beginning, everyone expected to face a smaller number of enemies, however, none of them thought that 40 demons would invade Fuera.

They felt relieved that Belian and Mika handled a lot of them already but the situation did not improve that much.

"Did they focus on overthrowing Rostanta...?!" Rachel muttered tensely as she defended the castle from any attacks.

Then, she perceived loud bangs coming from two different directions.

Internally, she was about to give up already as it was impossible to defend the castle from those demons but the moment she heard the sound of battles from afar, she flashed a small smirk.

"What’s the matter?" Zhen wondered, noticing her smirk.

He, too, was busy focusing on the enemies but he also was on the verge of despair.

"Let’s fight back...!" Rachel stated firmly.

"...?"

There was no way that she could allow herself to give up already while her friends were giving their best on the frontline.

As long as they fought, Rachel could also continue giving it her all.

"This is not over y- Hm...?"

Rachel sensed something come flying at them.

In the meantime, Bakil and Vasilya tried to hurry over to Belian.

"That came from there!" Bakil shouted as he ran in front of Vasilya.

Mika ordered them to head over to Belian and to offer him support.

Due to the loud bang they just heard, they were able to pinpoint his exact location. However, it still took them a while to arrive there even though they were running.

"What are you doing?"

"?!"

But they stopped in their tracks when they noticed the presence of three demons above them.

Two B-rank and one A-rank demon.

"Didn’t we tell you to stay out of our sight and wait for us until we’re done here?" the A-rank demon asked in a scolding tone.

"..."

Nervously, Bakil gripped his sword and took up his fighting stance.

"Are they perhaps betraying us?"

"Hahaha! How stupid! What makes them want to betray us unless they have a death wish?"

The A-rank demon sharpened his gaze.

"Should we take care of them?"

"Please let us do it! I’m getting bored of doing nothing!"

Vasilya took a step back.

"Don’t underestimate them. Sir Lucio bestowed relics on them after all." the A-rank demon stated after turning his back on them.

"I will check that location out." he added before slowly heading in the direction of Belian.

However, he suddenly came to a halt and turned his head in the other direction.

"What-"

A body crashed into a nearby house.

And not just there.

The sound of something crashing was heard across Fuera three other times at three other locations, including the castle itself.

"..."

The three demons and Bakil and Vasilya vigilantly looked at the object that crashed into a building.

"?!"

It was the demons who widened their eyes first.

"L-Laila...?!"

Lying motionlessly on the floor was a crippled Laila whose eyes did not even blink.

At the same moment, Belian and the three demons in front of him stared dumbfoundedly at Xervian who had holes all over his body.

Aside from them, the people at the castle as well as the demons ceased their attacks for a while when they discovered the bodies of Serok and Altra, whose bodies did not stop bleeding.

"!"

One of the demons facing Belian suddenly felt something metallic and sharp stabbing his chest.

"..."

He looked down only to confirm his fear.

"Shi-"

Then, the head of another demon flew in the air.

"What the... I-impossible...! H-h-how?! W-we are A-ranks-"

"So what?"

The one who killed the two demons was Mika whose face and body were covered in his and his victims’ blood. It was visible that Mika suffered injuries but he still moved as if nothing happened.

He was even capable of dealing with two A-rank demons in a heartbeat.

Not even Belian could catch up with his movements. It was as if Mika appeared from out of nowhere when he stabbed the first one with his silver sword from behind.

The second one was dealt with so quickly that Belian could not even blink once with his eyes.

"There’s no way in hell that I would struggle against you lot anymore. If I did then my revenge against that guy would be pointless." Mika added apathetically as he summoned the Holy Spear which had the size of his pinky finger and threw it gently to the stunned demon.

And once the spear was right in front of the demon’s face, the spear enlarged, blowing him and the building behind him away in an instant.

After that, the spear dispersed in light.

"Let’s head to the castle." Mika said.

"..."

Belian could not shut his mouth as he watched Mika.

’Was this the reason why the others were confident that Rostanta would be safe as long as Mika was there?’ Belian asked in astonishment inside his head.

It was not just Mika and Belian who were on their way back to the castle.

"M-Ms. Werensten...?!" Vasilya stuttered.

Cindy appeared in front of them.

Her breathing was ragged and she could not help but smile wryly after she used the distraction from back then to completely freeze the two B-rank demons.

"What a cheat ability..." she remarked quietly.

Mika only managed to get to Belian so fast due to his ability to teleport himself. However, he took Cindy with him and dropped her off at her students.

"Bakil. Vasilya. Head to the castle and help the defense! I will take care of that one!" she declared both nervously and firmly.

"W-will you be fine...?" Vasilya asked concernedly.

Compared to Mika, Cindy did not have any signs of injuries on her.

"Don’t worry about me... I’m not alone after all!"

At that moment, dark smoke emitted from her body and formed a silhouette similar to Cindy’s figure.

"..."

The A-rank demon remained unfazed.

"With the two of us, there won’t be a problem!"

There were two Cindys who stood with their backs against each other and pointed their finger at the demon.

"Now, hurry up and go!"

Bakil nodded nervously before he took Vasilya’s hand and ran.

"There’s a limit of disrespect I can tolerate..."

The demon emitted more pressure as he turned annoyed.

Cindy was shaking in her boots but she had no worries.

Not after watching Mika a few minutes ago.

Not even half of an hour passed since the demon army invaded Fuera and the battle was already as good as decided.

Out of 40 demons, less than 15 remained. And the main cause for the fall of those demons was none other than Mika Elbar for whom slaying demons was the same as breathing.

While humans still struggled and had to keep the ranks of demons in mind, Mika did not care if he had to face C or A-rank demons.

For him, every demon was the same now.
