"Get every single person out of here, Lily! Quickly!" Mika said, raising his voice which was rare to hear.

"U-understood!" Lily replied confusedly before she hurried out of the room.

Unlike usual, Mika’s calm demeanor was replaced with pure anger and bloodlust. He widened his eyes and glared out of the window.

The presence Mika started to notice from afar came closer to him at an absurdly fast pace.

"..."

Mika stepped back and summoned Excalibur on his hip, ready to draw it anytime.

"Finally..."

The windows shattered as a certain individual barged into the room from outside.

"How long have I waited for this day...!" Mika muttered enragedly.

He drew Excalibur to parry the great black sword that was swung at him by an armored person with bat-like wings.

Due to the impact of both swords, everything in the office was blown away. Even cracks started to appear in the walls around them.

"Dreyarrrr!!!" Mika yelled vigorously, pushing him away from him.

"..."

Dreyar, the armored demon, landed on his feet and stabbed his sword into the floor.

"You truly are alive. I thought you would have died back then, considering your state." Dreyar commented unfazedly.

He was the only S-rank demon known to be in the human realm. Currently, he was apparently the sixth strongest demon among the S-ranks.

"Lucio told me about you but I had to finish my business in Grat before I could come to you."

"..."

Mika was glaring at him madly while gripping Excalibur with both hands.

"This time, I will finish you off for good." Dreyar declared calmly, pulling out his sword again.

He leaped toward Mika who did the same thing.

They exchanged sword swings which cut the other one shallowly at multiple spots. Only Mika received visible wounds whereas Mika was not able to penetrate Dreyar’s armor yet.

"Is that all? You have hardly improved since then." Dreyar remarked after measuring Mika’s strength based on his sword strikes.

"..."

But Mika did not react and just kept attacking him wildly.

And while he attacked with his sword, he used his other hand to fire off a lightning beam quickly which pushed Dreyar back.

"...?"

Dreyar looked up after getting hit.

Mika jumped up and was about to swing Excalibur down on him.

The attack was avoided but Mika was persistent and immediately followed after Dreyar.

When their swords clashed once more, Dreyar launched a kick to the side and sent Mika crashing through the walls.

"Tch...!"

Mika spread his wings and attempted to fly back inside the castle, however, Dreyar met him halfway by spreading his own wings and flying toward him.

Before he could react in time, Dreyar’s fist connected with Mika’s face and sent him further to the ground.

"?!"

But instead of crashing into a building, Mika appeared above him while rotating his hip.

Mika, too, launched a kick and made Dreyar crash to the ground.

He quickly let light arrows and lightning strikes fall on him without giving Dreyar a chance to breathe.

"Holy Spear..."

Excalibur was switched with the Holy Spear.

"Enlarge!"

Mika threw the spear at Dreyar and let it increase its size.

A spear with the height of the castle and the width of the entire central plaza of the town fell on Dreyar.

Combined with all the previous attacks a normal demon would have already died.

"I take my statement back. It seems like you did grow a little."

Dreyar caught the spear with his hands and threw it to the side.

It was just faint but there was a small crack on his right shoulder armor.

"..."

Mika descended slowly.

"I’ve been longing for this moment the past two years..." Mika said, completely void of any emotion.

"I’ve searched so long for you. I’ve killed so many of your kind. I’ve pent up all my wrath in that time."

He approached Dreyar with Excalibur in his hand again.

"I did all that just to behead you...!"

He leaped toward Dreyar.

"Don’t think I have forgotten what you and the others did!"

Mika swung his sword at Dreyar and hit his left shoulder.

This time, Excalibur was slightly stuck in the armor.

"?"

However, Dreyar let himself get hit on purpose.

"You indeed have the right to resent and kill me. If I were you, then I’d have done the same thing. However, I’m here on a mission."

Dreyar grabbed Mika’s wrists with his left hand.

"My liege may not have given his word yet but I deemed you a threat to demons. Thus, I see no other option but to kill you before you can cause further problems."

He raised his great sword and slashed Mika across his body.

"Ack!"

With a deep and wide wound on his upper body, Mika stumbled backward.

"Hngh!"

Dreyar retracted his arm and thrust his sword to the front, stabbing Mika’s side.

The sword did not pierce through completely but it still caused quite the damage.

"Mika!"

Lily came from the direction of the castle.

"Lily...?"

She hurried over, worried about Mika.

"Who is she?"

Lily was about to summon her wand.

"Stay back!"

But Mika’s loud voice halted her.

"This is my fight... So stay back, Lily...!" Mika declared, albeit blood dripped out of his mouth and his breathing was ragged.

"Mika, this not the time to be stubborn! If it’s us two, we can defeat him!" Lily retorted.

Logically speaking, Lily was right. Mika was currently reaching a critical state whereas Dreyar seemed fine.

"That girl is right. You two together have a better chance at bringing me down than you on your own. You have to admit your own weakness, boy." Dreyar remarked, readying his sword.

"Shut it...!"

Mika clenched his fists and tensed his whole body up despite the pain.

"Let me be selfish this one time... I... And only I am allowed to kill him...! I won’t die nor could I rest in peace, knowing that he’s still alive...!"

"Mika..."

Lily relaxed her body a little.

"Foolish." Dreyar stated indifferently.

However, the moment he uttered those words, Mika teleported himself right in front of him.

"...?!"

From Dreyar’s point of view, it looked like Mika suddenly turned faster. And not only that but from above lightning arrows shot down on him.

"Keh!"

Mika swung his Excalibur quickly and appeared from another angle afterward.

Dreyar tried to dodge but from the ground light pillars erupted, making it more complicated for him to avoid getting hit. Thus, he had no choice but to try parrying every sword strike of Mika. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

But due to his speed, Dreyar quickly found himself getting hit from his blind spots all the time.

"...!"

Only a few seconds passed before he was lying on the ground with Mika on top of him.

"Got you now..."

Mika clenched his fists and let his fists rain down on Dreyar’s armored face.

Even though Mika sensed the skin on his knuckles being torn apart with each hit, he kept punching. Blood splattered on the asphalt, albeit that not being Dreyar’s blood.

Without making a sound, Dreyar took those hits.

Mika continued punching him with an expressionless face.

"Are you done?"

"!"

Dreyar grew tired and headbutted Mika fiercely.

His helmet had only slight cracks after all those punches.

"You will never break my armor with such puny attacks!" Dreyar shouted as he charged at Mika.

He swung his sword but missed and hit the ground.

"Then... What about this one...?!"

Mika held Dreyar’s sword down with one foot as he retracted his fist.

On his fist, he gathered both lightning and light before he then threw a heavy punch into his guts.

"Urgh...!"

"Haaa!!!"

Mika kept digging his fist into Dreyar’s hard armor, making his back bent forward.

He heard something shattering in his forearm but he kept pushing.

"?!"

Then, Mika lost his balance after Dreyar forcefully pulled his sword out and swept his feet off the ground.

"!"

Dreyar attempted to swing his sword once more.

But Mika disappeared.

"..."

He appeared behind him again.

"?"

However, Dreyar did not fall for the same trick again and redirected the path of his swing.

"Keh!"

The sword attack was blocked by Mika and Excalibur just in time but he was nonetheless sent flying.

"Mika!" Lily shouted, seeing Mika being sent outside the town’s walls.

Meanwhile, Dreyar spread his wings and followed after him.

On the vast soil, Mika lied motionlessly while staring at the sky.

His bleeding did not stop yet and he could feel how his eyes were about to give in.

"You’re stronger than before but it seems like the results are the same." Dreyar commented after arriving.

He was standing above Mika.

"Not yet..."

"Hm?"

Mika teleported himself behind Dreyar.

"This children’s play again?"

He turned around but Mika disappeared in an instant.

"!"

Mika appeared in the spot where he was originally.

After faking him out, Mika grabbed Dreyar’s neck, pulled him to him and shoved his knee into his guts.

"Enlarge."

Mika summoned the Holy Spear in his hand and let it enlarge so that Dreyar was shot into the sky.

Following that, Mika checked the distance between them and Fuera.

"I guess this distance should do..."
