Chapter 181: Inevitable Disaster

"Or would you rather like it if I surprised you in a pleasurable way?" Alexander asked taking a step closer. His steps were precise and in one swift move, he was holding her by the waist while staring at her innocent eyes. Her hair danced in the wind as if complementing her beauty. She slightly pouted her lips driving Alexander all shades of crazy. "No.. Yes. Um.. I mean no," she stuttered making Alexander smile cunningly. "Is it yes or no, wife?" He asked tucking the stray strands of her hair behind her ears. God! Did he know how that simple action affected her? Coupled with the intimate position they were in, she was finding it hard to resist him. The alien feeling had started building in her groin again! "Do you want me to touch you?" Alexander could tell she was trying so hard to control her emotions but he always hit the right spot. And as if that was not enough, he drew closer, his warm breath faning her skin. He was so damn close that she could feel his rhythmic heartbeat. "Say it wife," he whispered in her ear, his hypnotic voice bringing all her buried desires to the surface. Now she not only wanted to be touched but to be.. To be what? Before she could even think further, her voice had betrayed her already."Touch me," she said in a whisper already burning in need. She wanted him all over her body! "Where, wife?" He asked, a smirk dancing on his face. Did he really want her to spell it out? She was already dying to be touched and he was just damn good at keeping her waiting when he was the cause of this. How would she say this now? She bit her lower lip between her teeth at the thought. And in a whisper, she said, "Everywhere." "Are you sure?" Alexander teased. God knew how much self restraint it was taking him to ravage her there and then. She looked damn sexy biting her lips but he wanted to tease her some more. After all, it was a surprise! "Yes." She even nodded to affirm her words. "Oh princess!" Alexander cursed before sealing her pouted lips with his. Lord! She tasted heavenly as usual! Could he ever get enough of her? He cupped her ass with his hands pulling her so close that there was no space to breath. The kiss, which Alexander had promised himself to be just but a taste, was nowhere to coming at an end. He knocked the air off her lungs, giving her no chance to even moan. Well, he had her to blame for tasting so damn sweet. He pushed her to the wall, caging her in between his hands as his mouth ravaged hers in what looked like forever. Not until a soft knock sounded on the door. Alexander assumed it and continued his torture until she pushed him lightly breaking him from ambrosia’s source. " There’s someone on the door, " she said acting all shy. ’Damn!’ Alexander cursed with clenched fists. Who was it that dared to... He had already left for the door, his nose flaring wide. "What is it?" The reporting Knight swallowed at the murderous look he got. Was it not that he was reporting something important, he’d have fled by now. "We are under attack Your Highness," he said slightly trembling. "The witches are here!" "What do you mean?" Alexander asked with a frown. Hadn’t he annihilated that clan? What nonsense was this Knight spitting then? "I saw it Your Highness, and not only me but every other Knight here. We are already establishing our defenses but..." He looked down wallowing in self pity. "But what?" Alexander asked. "They have the dragons sire! Our families are going to die!" "No one is going to die you fool. Tell the men to be ready. Deploy every Knight and resources we have to the city wall and evacuate the women and children. I’ll be there in a jiffy." "Yes Sir," the knight said regaining some hope. There was just something to his voice that made everyone want to follow him. "What will you do now?" Isadora asked searching for his face. He looked confused! The Almighty Alexander, confused! "I don’t know! It’s an ambush! The only thing I can do right now is to defend my people." And turning to face her,"Promise me you’ll stay here and wait for me. We have to finish this after all." He added a smirk. Though unwilling, Isadora nodded lightly gasping in surprise when Alexander kissed her all of a sudden. She moaned stiffly trying to catch her breath but Alexander had drew already. "Wait for me, okay? And don’t leave this room no matter what," he added before walking out of the room. Pacing across the hallways with clenched fists, Alexander gripped his sword tighter fuming in anger. Who dared to interrupt him when he was having good time with his wife. A gust of wind enveloped him and like a bird, he landed softly on the city wall. Valorian knights were lined there especially archers. In the distance, he could see an army slowly approaching with two huge birds in the sky. Those were the dragons, a clear indication that it was indeed the witches. But where could the witches get such a huge army? "Give it to me," he asked for a telescope from one of the observing knights. Coupled with his night vision, it could give him great results. His gaze darted in the army and stopped on a man dressed in white. He was riding a white horse but that face! How could Alexander forget it? So, all this time, the Crescians were plotting an attack on Valoria masking their plans with a treaty. They had used Isadora for nothing! How would she take it? She’d definitely hate her father forever. "We were fooled by Crescia," he said handing the telescope back to the Knight. And turning to all his men, "We need to protect the city from the dragons so we have to fight outside. Prepare for war!" The bell rang in the Valorian capital signalling an inevitable disaster.
