The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day
Chapter 788: Take a Look at Who I Am
The car stopped in front of The Vanguard Tower.
Henry Stanton was awakened by Dottie’s voice.
"Daddy, is this Crestfall? The buildings here are so tall! I like it here!"
"If you like it here, go back and study hard, get accepted here, and find a good job in this place."
"Really?? Can I go to school?!"
"Once Daddy gets his paycheck, you can go to school."
"Yay!"
Henry Stanton groggily opened his eyes and only caught the words "Crestfall."
He became agitated again, frantically pounding the board above his head: "Let me out! Let me out!"
The voices outside fell silent for a second, then a cold female voice rang out: "Dottie, you go in another car. I’ve arranged accommodations for you. I’ll handle the rest."
"Okay."
The footsteps gradually receded, leaving Henry Stanton stunned in the trunk.
This voice, no matter how he heard it, sounded like Summer Monroe, but the tone was nothing like how she normally sounded.
It must be just a resemblance in voice. That foolish girl couldn’t possibly have the wits to deal with him, nor the guts.
The next instant, the trunk was opened.
This time, Henry reflexively shielded his eyes from the light, yet still felt a tingle of irritation in his eyes.
"Henry Stanton, take your hand away and see who I am?"
Upon hearing this voice, Henry’s body stiffened. Ignoring the fact that his eyes had not fully adjusted to the light, he removed his hand to look outside.
He saw a girl standing against the light, her familiar face came into view, a face that could captivate any man, with delicate features, a face small enough to fit in a palm, standing elegantly, exuding an extraordinary air.
"It’s you..."
It was indeed Summer Monroe!
However, on a closer look, Henry felt the girl in front of him was completely different from her usual self. Her perfectly crafted eyes were still bright, yet lacked the innocent lamb-like demeanor, radiating an overwhelming powerful aura, as if a queen had descended.
This kind of Summer, he realized, he had never seen before.
Looking at this both strange and familiar Summer Monroe, Henry suddenly didn’t know how to speak.
Summer raised her eyebrows, asking: "What’s wrong? After a few days, you don’t recognize me anymore?"
Her tone was indifferent, naturally carrying an imposing pressure, making Henry feel even more unfamiliar.
Staring shocked and terrified at Summer, he trembled as he asked: "...Who, who exactly are you?"
"You really don’t recognize me." Summer smiled faintly, her eyes icy cold, sending chills down Henry’s spine.
But at that moment, Henry suddenly realized something.
His eyes widened instantly, his pupils shrank to a point in shock, as he asked fearfully: "You were pretending all along, weren’t you?!"
Summer clapped her hands: "Not easy, you finally figured it out..."
"You—" Henry’s cheeks flushed with anger, as he shouted furiously: "What exactly do you want?!"
"What do I want?" Summer took a step forward, looking down at Henry: "My mom was brutally killed by you and Stella Monroe, the entire Monroe Family was swallowed by you, and I, if it weren’t for the adoptive parents who raised me, who knows if I’d be dead in some remote mountains by now. What do you think I want? Hmm?"
"You..." Henry’s pupils nearly trembled, "So you remember everything, you’re back for revenge for Luna Monroe! From the beginning, you had ulterior motives coming to our family, didn’t you!?"
However...
