The Bloody Crown
Chapter 212: A meeting you don’t want to wait for.
- What a sweet, touching scene. - A melodious, but slightly hoarse, familiar voice rang out.
Artemis immediately turned around and jumped back like a hunted animal. It wasn’t that unexpected, because she had called her.
Lillian’s bright red lips stretched across the floor of her face, exposing snow-white teeth and long fangs, which she defiantly bared. She did it deliberately.
In a moment, Eugene groaned. Artemis glanced at her and was horrified to find Thea’s mentor clutching at her slit throat, oozing bright venous blood.
She screamed, she didn’t know what to do, but Eugene just kept smiling until with her last breath, the corners of her lips dropped and her body collapsed to the ground, already completely dry from the recent bad weather.
Artemis was about to rush towards her, but immediately her body was thrown tens of meters to the side by an invisible force. She felt the crunch of her own bones, the hellish pain made her scream, but immediately clench her jaw to suppress the pain.
Lillian stood with her chin lifted proudly and looked at her long, sharp nails.
- I’m surprised. - She came closer and squatted down, grabbing him by the face, turning him from side to side.
Gathering her courage, she spat in her face, which earned her a strong slap in the face, akin to a punch in the face.
- You little bitch. - Lillian spat out.
She wiped the saliva from her face with the hem of her dress in disgust.
- I remember seeing you before, and more than that... I’ve already killed you once. - She continued to look at Them as if they were an unknown animal. - I do not know what the hell is going on here, but I am ready to kill you as many times as necessary until you finally die.
- I can tell you the same thing. - Temi spat out and pushed Lillian away from herself with a strong blow of the wind, which came out of her palms in a powerful gust.
She got to her feet, quickly taking up a defensive position.
Lillian, landing deftly on her feet, grinned at such a weak maneuver.
- And how are you going to kill me with such rotten powers? – did she burst out laughing? – How did it turn out that you are alive again? Is this some kind of magic of rebirth from the dead? I want to know her.
- You’ll know a lot, you’ll get old soon. - Temi retorted. - Although, judging by you, you’re already a decrepit wreck who keeps afloat at someone else’s expense.
- That’s where you’re wrong. - She flashed her fangs. - I don’t need to prolong my life with these low-grade people anymore. And all thanks to your faithful husband. By the way, where is he? It will be such a shame if he doesn’t see your epic death a second time. He was so upset about losing you last time. Poor boy.
While Lillian continued to revel in her own importance, She discreetly repaired the wound on her hip and the cracked ankle bone. Once again, she had a faithful steel companion in her hands, ready for battle.
- It’s been so long, I would even say that I missed you, but that would be a lie. I missed you dead. - she burst out laughing again, but Temi were not laughing, she was frantically calculating a defense plan in her head. She couldn’t have died in the first five minutes, otherwise what’s the point of all this?
She couldn’t even turn her head to see if any of the allies were nearby. But maybe it was for the best if there was no one, otherwise Lillian would have taken their lives in the blink of an eye. It was hoped that she would want to play with Artemis a little longer and she was ready to take this step. Anyway, what other choice did she have against an immortal vampire? 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
- Tell me, honey, how do you sleep knowing how many people died because of you? - The witch continued.
- How about you? You’re the one who’s killing all these people, aren’t you? - She raised her eyebrows. – Although I’m sure you don’t care about anyone but yourself. Even your own children have never mattered to you.
Another punch in the gut tore out all the air in Artemis’s lungs as she doubled over, coughing.
- What do you know? Have you been following me? Where did you get such knowledge about my children? My daughter died because of your hubby. My son turned his back on me. - She said with disgust.
- Oh, so you already know? - Temi giggled. – And how does it feel that at least someone in your family is not devoid of reason?
- He’s just a stupid little boy. - Lillian said calmly. – I will let him play with the hero, but after that he will return to my wing and become an obedient mother’s boy again.
- Terrence has never been your obedient boy. And it never will be. He is ready to give his life for me. But are you ready to take his life with your own hands? What are you going to do when you come face to face with him? - She kept pushing on the big place, seeing how it hurt Lillian.
- You’re not going to mess with my head, you stupid girl. - Her voice rasped. – Both Terrence and Madeleine may be afraid of me, but they are my children and they love me. They will never be able to go against me. All these are just empty words.
- And yet Madeleine smiled when she was dying. - Artemis said coldly.
- What did you just say? - Like a harpy, Lillian raged and pounced on Temi, grabbing her thin throat in a stranglehold.
Temi’s face turned red from lack of air and Lillian let her go, glaring at her icily.
- If you had ever tried to listen to your children without pressure on their opinion, you would have realized that they were afraid of you. Love can never border on fear. – She said clearing her throat. – You live in your own world, in which there is only you and your eternal youth and beauty, and everything else is just empty words, as you say yourself. No one loves you!
The sharp pain made Temi scream as Lillian’s hand sank into her flesh up to the palm of her hand. Pointed long nails cut through the thickness of the abdominal muscles on the right side.
Lillian didn’t try to kill her quickly, so she was extremely precise in her actions, making Artemis suffer slowly.
