The way the gnawer looked at him was not the way a puppet or an android would look at one.

It acted like it was alive and this baffled Simon.

He instantly knew the most plausible explanation which was his unique sea of consciousness.

He looked down at his sea of consciousness with slightly furrowed brows.

"Why exactly is my sea of consciousness different from that of a normal demon? And what can it do?"

Just as he had this thought, the gnawer in his hand leaped off his hand and jumped into his sea of consciousness.

Splash

Simon raised a brow when he saw this, and he watched as the gnawer moved inside the sea like it was land.

To the gnawer, it was not a body of water but land and this made Simon to raise a brow.

Splash

The gnawer came out of the sea and standing walking on the surface of the sea. He started sniffing around, making it seem like it was looking for something.

Simon observed the gnawer with an intrigued expression.

’It acts like a living beast. Is it now... a pet? Do I have to maintain it? Or does it just move around and does what it wants?’

’The Mad Scientist never mentioned any of this.’

Simon narrowed his eyes, then he slowly raised his right index finger.

A rope of water stretched out from his sea of consciousness, and it curled around the gnawer, bringing it closer to Simon.

Squeak Squeak

The gnawer squeaked, but it was not afraid of Simon.

Its completely black eyes stared into Simon’s eyes, and it blinked as it stared at Simon.

"Hmm. I wonder if there any other changes you’ve gone through because of my mental energy."

The gnawer obviously did not respond. It just tilted its head slightly and kept on looking at Simon.

"Your eyes are dead, but at the same time, they have life."

Simon shook his head after saying this, then he controlled the rope of water to gently place the rat on his sea of consciousness.

The rat squeaked and began running around, and Simon looked at it for a few more seconds before looking away.

He looked down at his sea of consciousness, then he mumbled softly.

"Let’s see if the other beasts change."

However, he already knew the answer to this question.

A few minutes later, two more gnawers were in his sea of consciousness, and they were all playing and running around like the rats that they were.

Simon could see that the first gnawer was happy to have more of its kind and their non-stop squeaking sounds was a clear sign of that.

"Hmm... Same changes. Nothing new." Simon mumbled softly as he watched the three rats walk in his sea of consciousness.

"Alright. Let’s try the demon dog."

He left his sea of consciousness and his perception was back in the real world.

He looked around, and his gaze landed on the corpses of the three gnawers which were a few meters in front of him on the floor.

Because he didn’t want to stain his room with blood, he snapped their necks, and he planned on doing the same to the last two beasts.

He looked at the demon dog, then he stood from his cross-legged position and approached the demon dog.

Growl

Growl!

Growl!!!

The closer he got to the demon dog, the louder it growled, attempting to threaten to Simon.

And why would it not attempt to threaten Simon?

It had seen the fate of the gnawers in the hands of Simon, and it did not want that for itself.

It wanted to live.

Unfortunately for the demon dog, Simon was death incarnate.

He opened the cage of the demon dog, and the demon dog instantly tried to attack Simon but it was a mere Dire Beast.

A Dire Beast is equivalent to a Fiend, and it posed no threat to him at all.

Bam!

With the most indifferent and calm demeanor, he gave the demon dog a backhanded slap, sending it crashing back into its cage and even nearly destroying the cage as a result.

Whimper

The demon dog whimpered in pain, but Simon indifferently approached it, then he held its head with his two hands and twisted its neck, completely breaking it and killing it instantly.

The slap he gave the demon dog nearly killed it, and because of the damage that was done to the brain, it could not react to Simon killing it.

Simon did not waste a single second as he began the process of the Eternal Mind Zoo technique.

Black ethereal chains shot out from his forehead and pierced into the body of demon dog.

Once again, Simon felt a strange sensation he could not describe with words, but the moment the chains latched unto the Will of the demon dog, he pulled it out of the demon dog’s corpse with ease and sent it into his sea of consciousness.

Because of how he killed the demon dog and how much fear the demon dog had of him, the demon dog could not resist.

Simon sat down with his legs crossed, then he went into his sea of consciousness, completely ignoring the uncomfortable and weird gaze of the abyssal grass cutter.

Inside his sea of consciousness, Simon stared at the demon dog which was trembling far in fear as it crouched and had its head, body, and tail on the surface of his sea of consciousness.

Its reaction was just like the gnawers, but it tried to muster up the courage to stand.

However, it failed woefully.

Its legs and body trembled, and Simon tilted his head slightly when he saw this.

"Hmm. So no difference. Could the fact that my original lineage was that of a demon cat be another reason why the gnawers and demon dogs are so full of fear?"

Simon shook his head slightly, then he drew a circle with his hand.

The moment he did this, a wave rose from his sea of consciousness and the enslavement formation of the Mad Scientist was formed in the air in less than three seconds.

Because he had drawn the formation three times, he was a lot faster in drawing it now.

He waved his hand, and the formation flew into the ethereal body of the demon dog.

Three seconds after this happened, the Will of the demon dog began to change.
