The cannon fodder's revenge (BL)
Chapter 121 - 11.3 Comeback King
A-Xuan sat down and crossed his legs. He knew he would wait for her, Leia is always late. But he doesn’t mind, he’ll accept anything when it comes to her. She’s like his sister and daughter all at once.
He watched as Bastian came in, and took a seat on the couch in front of him. A-Xuan smiled.
"Hello, Bastian."
"A-Xuan."
A-Xuan took a check and put it on the table between them, he explained:
"This is for all the money you used on Leia’s extra."
Even if their father left them enough money, Lea is a big spender. She thought A-Xuan didn’t know about that until he listed all the things she bought. He told her straight up that he has access to everything she does.
Since then, she stopped spending recklessly. Plus, subsequently, he would send her money every month to buy whatever she desired.
Bastian looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"You never took the money your father left you."
"You can keep it as repayment for that chess set I never broke."
A-Xuan smiled mockingly, and Bastian’s eyes darkened. He looked at him for a few seconds in anger, then it vanished as though it was never there. At that, A-Xuan smirked, we’ll see how long you can play this game.
Bastian asked:
"How long are you staying in A Country?"
A-Xuan raised an eyebrow.
"You speak as though you know with certainty that I wasn’t in A Country all this time."
Bastian closed his mouth, not saying anything more. A-Xuan smiled at him and then looked down at his phone.
"A-Xuan!"
A woman came in running into the living room. She had long straight hair and an oval face. With her round eyes and a slightly turned-up nose, paired with her thin pink lips, she looked stunning.
A-Xuan got up, hugging her tightly. Leia held on to him crying, he caressed her back soothingly.
"It’s okay I’m here. I told you I would come back for you."
Bastian looked at the whole scene in guilt. After a little while, he looked away. A-Xuan pulled back and wiped her tears. He smiled at her.
"You’re so big now."
"Are you calling me fat?"
Leia narrowed her eyes at him threateningly, and A-Xuan chuckled. He asked:
"His all your luggage down?"
"Yes, I just need to get my purse."
A-Xuan looked at Bastian, asking:
"Can you have someone put her belonging in the car out front?"
Bastian nodded to the butler and he left.
"Go get your bag so we can leave."
Leia nodded excitedly and ran upstairs. A-Xuan smiled and sat back, waiting for her.
He asked:
"Where’s Victoria?"
Bastian looked at him surprised:
"She’s in her room, I can have her called if you’d like."
A-Xuan looked at Bastian amused.
"Sure, why not."
He nodded at one of the maids. He asked:
"You’re not taking her with you?"
A-Xuan leaned back and crossed his legs. He asked with an enigmatic smile:
"Do you want her to leave?"
Bastian answered:
"If you want her to stay, then she can stay."
A-Xuan asked, raising an eyebrow:
"It’s not about what I want, it’s always been about what you want. Right?"
Bastian’s eyes turned dark gray for a few seconds, then turned back to their original color. A-Xuan sneered, 6 years wasn’t enough? We’ll see. This ends today, whether you want it or not...
Bastian looked at A-Xuan, understanding what he meant. That day after calming himself he sent someone to look for him, but he had already left the country.
The same thing happened in the OG TL, but the original was already dead by then. When Bastian found out he died, he felt guilty and his guilt overwhelmed him when Leia lost her mind. Except for work, he did nothing else, so he wouldn’t think of everything that happened. He was like a robot.
He’s indeed a victim of Darren and Victoria’s scheming but still, if he would’ve used his brain just a few seconds he would’ve known that the original would never enter someone else’s room, let alone take something from it.
But he let his emotion take the best of him, which was out of character for him. That’s why the guilt took over him in the end.
Once he found out that A-Xuan left the country he wanted to check on him, but it was like he disappeared from the face of the earth. After a while, he realized that the reason he couldn’t find him is that A-Xuan didn’t want to be found.
He knew that Leia was in constant communication with him and that he would come back for her. He only got a trace of him a month ago, like A-Xuan finally allowed it. He knew he would come back, he just didn’t know when.
A woman entered the living room, she had short brown hair with a round face. With her slanted eyes and her small nose paired with her pouty lips, she looked beautiful.
She looked at Bastian.
"You wanted to see me?"
"Actually, I did."
Victoria looked at A-Xuan wide-eyed and took a step back. A-Xuan sneered:
"What is it, sister? You look like you’ve seen a ghost."
Victoria took a hold of her emotions and said as she pretended to be devastated:
"We all thought you were dead. You have no idea how hard it was."
"Was it?"
Victoria sat next to him, grabbing his hand.
"Of course brother, I missed you dearly."
A-Xuan took his hand back, looking at her with a smile.
"That’s nice."
She looked at him not knowing what to say, he looked different, colder, and somehow above her. Like she wasn’t worth his consideration.
Victoria always felt that way when it came to A-Xuan, but once he died she was finally above him while he was under the ground.
But now he’s been back less than 30 seconds, and she already feels like the insecure girl she felt before. No, I’m not going back to that.
