Jeremy Kane nodded. "Good, as long as it’s taken care of. The Preston Family is utterly despicable. It was one thing for them to break off my son’s engagement and humiliate me, but to actually dare to injure my son... I will see their family ruined!"

He had been away recently and only found out upon his return that Wesley Kane had been beaten up by Vera Xavier and her associates. To make matters worse, he was injured in a private area. By the time he was rushed to the hospital, one of Wesley’s testicles had been crushed. The doctor said he might now be infertile.

Vera Xavier went straight to the hospital after finishing her exam. Zachary Preston was awake, but he looked incredibly frail and couldn’t move the left side of his body.

It broke Vera Xavier’s heart to see Zachary Preston in this state. She knew full well that he was the person who had treated her the kindest in the Preston Family.
