The Demon Emperor was Saint Emperor
Chapter 249 - 240: Physical Examination
"Wait a moment, I’ll go back with you."
When Lynn heard Catherine say this, he stopped her with his hand. He had just finished lunch, and this was the perfect time to do so.
"What’s up? Do you want to go home with me or find Sifrin? Although she’s quite attractive, her personality can be..."
At this point in Catherine’s words, Lynn stopped her, fearing she’d say something inappropriate.
"I have serious business with Sifrin..."
Then Lynn explained to Catherine the issues regarding the physical development of the two little ones. In this area, Sifrin is considered a top expert, and even getting an appointment with her is difficult.
"Well... Weiwei did mention it to me yesterday. I also asked Sifrin, and she said this situation is quite rare, and she’d need to check some materials."
Talking about the kids made Catherine serious, as she worried about Little Yuri and Little Yuna’s health problems, being their godmother.
But even expert Sifrin doesn’t seem confident, so what can she do?
You can’t just call the Celestial Destiny City’s Saint Emperor to see two little kids, right?
"Sifrin can’t help? That could be troublesome, might need to get Akelie involved..."
Lynn, as always, quickly thought of the more profound Light Divine Technique by the Saint Emperor of Light.
Though his uncle isn’t particularly skilled in medicine, an old camel is still bigger than a horse. Even a priest from the Light Church Court knows a trick or two, so as the Pope of Light, he’s surely more skilled than an average medical master.
"Should I notify him?"
Catherine hesitated a bit but soon realized Lynn wasn’t overreacting, as it’s about her children too, and she wouldn’t want anything wrong with them.
"No rush, let Sifrin check them first. Simply relaying information might not be enough. If she truly has no clue, then call Akelie."
Lynn’s suggestion wasn’t to avoid bothering the Saint Emperor of Light, Akelie—they’re all old friends anyway. He’s asked Lynn for help more often than not, and Lynn never complained.
"Talking like this makes you sound strange, as if you’re pals with my uncle yet you call me your wife..."
Catherine’s look at Lynn grew increasingly distrustful, like she was observing a weirdo with odd thoughts toward her niece.
"Cough, cough, nothing like that. Let’s first get the kids checked, we’ll talk later."
Saying this, Lynn went to find Little Yuri and Little Yuna, and within a minute, he returned holding each child’s hand.
As they left, Little Yuri, who had been on Lynn’s left, let go of his hand, ran to the right to hold Little Yuna’s hand, using her other hand to clutch Catherine.
So it was Lynn and Catherine on either side, with the two adorable girls between them. Though it appeared they were the farthest apart, anyone glancing would see a harmonious family of four.
With their coupling of a handsome man and a pretty woman, out on the street with kids, they were quite noticeable—a beautiful scene wherever they went.
Catherine figured it out; the kids avoided the carriage to walk back just to confirm her relationship with their dad.
If everyone believes I’m Lynn’s wife, even if I don’t admit it, I’d still be seen as his wife.
If Lynn hadn’t quickly gone to fetch the kids, Catherine would suspect he secretly taught Little Yuri and Little Yuna to act this way.
Fortunately, Lynn’s authority in Celestial Destiny City exceeded even the Empress’s. Though they were watched by passersby all the way, none dared shout, or Catherine might have lost patience and hit someone.
So, they returned to Catherine’s home without any fuss. Upon entering, Sifrin was just eating, due to Catherine often eating at Lynn’s place, she’d been having fast food, like burgers and chicken, the past couple days.
Seeing Catherine return, Sifrin promptly wiped her hands to give a loving hug, but seeing Lynn come in after, she turned back for a bite of fried chicken, then turned back ready to give Lynn a greasy hug.
"If you dare to hug me, I’ll strip you of your Saintess of Light title!"
Seeing the goofy attempt, Lynn quickly pulled out his Divine Awarded Medal to threaten her. She’s usually fearless, but stripping her of her status might just work.
As the Saintess of Light, ranked among the top five in Light Church Court, her title couldn’t be revoked without great reason, not even by the Saint Emperor of Light. But Lynn, with the Divine Awarded Medal, was different.
He wasn’t even a clergy member of the Light Church Court, but his status surpassed the Pope of Light—only the gods of the Light realm ranked higher than him.
"Brother-in-law, you’re so stingy."
Sifrin snorted, pouted, and muttered softly.
"Who are you calling brother-in-law?"
Hearing this, Catherine frowned. You’ve lived here rent-free; how can you speak poorly of your landlady!
"Cleia is my sister, is there a problem?"
