 The loud and lively music in the nightclub already returned and everyone in the establishment got into their party mood. But somehow, the music sounded a lot more distant when Fil heard that question.

 Her already calmed heart thudded against her chest once more as her pupils widened. Slowly, Fil turned around, facing him squarely this time.
 Jackson was still leaning languidly against the wall, hands in his pockets. His eyes shone as he assessed her from head to toe before his thin lips curled up a bit. He looked devious and equally stunning without even trying. One would think he was aware of that and thus, he was confident. Or perhaps he was unaware of it.
 Either way, was that important right now?
 ’Was that a coincidence?’ she wondered. ’Is this life toying with me now?’
 Her lips slowly curved down, telling herself not to assume to avoid any disappointment. His inquiry might just be a coincidence. There was no way he remembered anything. That was not how it worked.
 "What did you just say?" she asked with a slightly raised brow.
 Jackson shrugged nonchalantly. "I’m asking if I would go to hell if I lost my virginity tonight."

 "Is that a hard thing to believe?"
 "No," was her answer, but deep down, her answer was the opposite.
 In the era of kingdoms and wars, Jackson was considered horrendous just because of his battle scars. However, in this modern time, even if he still had the scars, Jackson would be more beautiful than most celebrities.
 What she meant was that having women by his side shouldn’t be a problem. Women would line up for him.
 "Sorry, I don’t know the answer to that," she replied with a short smile. "But if you’re that curious, I’m sure you can always try and see what happens."
 "I see."
 Fil shrugged and was about to turn away when he spoke again.
 "Do you want to try it with me?"
 Her eyes narrowed, looking back at him in disbelief. "Excuse me?"
 "Would you mind?" his lips stretched deviously. "If I ask you to be my partner tonight?"
 "Yes, I do mind. Do I look like someone you can just ask for something so indecent out of nowhere?"
 "No."
 Fil hissed, shaking her head in disappointment. ’My Jackson is reborn, but he now had become a real jerk. What a disappointment.’ But then again, she couldn’t blame anyone else for this."
 "Tch." She snapped her tongue and glared daggers at him.
 "Sorry. Just trying my luck." Jackson raised his hands in surrender, sporting an innocent look.
 "Go find someone else to take your virginity for all I care. What a jerk." Fil rolled her eyes on him again, walking away without looking back at him.
 Meanwhile, Jackson fixed his eyes on her retreating figure before a soft chuckle slipped past his lips.
 "Well." He smacked his lips and peeled his back from the wall. "It was worth the shot."
 Jackson shrugged nonchalantly and strode off, taking the same route as Fil.
 When they reached the parking space, Fil huffed and turned around. Her eyes were sharp, making him stop, as he was only a few meters away from her.

 </div> "Are you following me?" she asked in disbelief, only to hear him answer a quick, "No?"
 She scoffed once more. "Mister, I already said this once, but for you, I’ll repeat it one more time. I’m not interested in being your partner tonight. So, stop following me because the answer will always be a no."
 "Okay?" Jackson rocked his head.
 "Tch." She snapped her tongue once more and turned around, advancing to her car. However, as she did so, he still followed her. Hence, she stopped when she reached her car and stood by the driver seat’s door.
 But when she did, Jackson also stopped at the car parked right next to hers.
 "I’m not following you," he repeated, but this time, his tone was laced with mischief. "See? This is my car."
 Jackson pressed something, and the door opened while its beams lit up. "I’m not following."
 Slowly, her cheeks turned red as her breath hitched until her neck turned taut. Looking at the devious smile formed on his face, all she wanted to do was for the ground to swallow her whole right now.
 That was embarrassing.
 "Miss, I asked you that question out of curiosity. I mean, I’m a man and as a man, I know what type of women I would like to bed with. You fit the criteria very perfectly, so I didn’t want to let you go without trying," he casually explained without care if he sounded like a real jerk. "But I’m not as desperate as to nag you about it. Though, if you change your mind, I can give you my number..."
 Jackson trailed off when she suddenly opened her car and slammed the door with a bang. He blinked and blinked, watching her start the engine of her car and speed off without a second hesitation.
 Another chuckle escaped him as he winced a little at the sharp screech her tires made.

 Fil sped away out of embarrassment. For the first time in many years, she felt these conflicting emotions in just a single night. Hence, she had no choice but to leave the guy alone for now. Jackson still had that part of him that she loved and hated at the same time.
 "My god... that’s so embarrassing," she muttered and shook her head, feeling goosebumps all over her body.
 Getting asked him the same question she asked him before wasn’t as horrifying as getting called out of being delusional. He didn’t verbalize it, but that was what she felt.
 "Why did I think he was following me when I know there’s only one parking space in the nightclub?" Fil winced in irritation, plagued by the sense of shame at the moment. "Gosh. That’s really embarrassing."
 If she could turn back time again, she wouldn’t flee from him the first time she heard his voice. If anything, she should acted what she was supposed to do.
 "I’m more disappointed in myself."
 After some time on the road, Fil was able to relax. She propped her elbow against the window, her other hand on the steering wheel. She sighed for the umpteenth time, still carrying the sense of shame and disappointment in her heart.

 </div> "But at least I know he was reborn." The side of her mouth slowly hooked up into a subtle smile. "Good timing."
 Fil had been watching the same people all these years and right now, there wasn’t any development in their lives. She couldn’t completely say things had been boring, but with Jackson living in this life, she knew she had another person to watch from the distance.
 "From the way he clothed himself, he looks like he was born into a wealthy family," she whispered with a smile cemented on her face. "He might’ve been a jerk, but he’s still Jackson."
 His personality might’ve changed a bit and he might’ve become more playful, but he was still the man she loved in all the lifetimes she lived. He was still the person she craved, yearned, and prayed for.
 "Well." Fil shrugged. "I’d know where he lived. Good thing I didn’t agree with my children to join them abroad."
 With that thought in mind, Fil drove herself to the exclusive condominium unit where she lived these past few years. However, she didn’t think of locking herself inside for the next couple of months because she now had something else to do.
 When she reached her destination, Fil handed over the keys to the valet with gratitude. She then walked over to the entrance without any events. Though she rarely came out, the employees were already familiar with her.
 Fil, after all, was a gorgeous being with a very mysterious air around him. Moreover, her frequent guesses — Kim and Dustin — were so well known that the employees knew she was of a high standing. Well, she lived in the exclusive penthouse, which was the most expensive unit on the premises. The penthouse was so expensive that there were only two of them: one was for Fil and the other one was for the owner of the building.
 After offering a short smile to the employees, who greeted her on her way to the elevator, Fil quickly stepped into the lift. Pressing a button to the highest floor, she stepped back and watched the door slowly closed.
 However, just inches before the door closed in, a hand suddenly slipped inside. Deep lines appeared between her brows as the door slid open again, revealing the person outside.
 Jackson.
