Chapter 315: She had an affair

But not once did Nathan consider the possibility that Ryle was the cause of this mass destruction. The person who had kept him on the edge for so long was the son he looked down on.

In Nathan’s eyes, Ryle was only capable when he inherited the legacy of Kingsleys. Without the name and identity, he was not a threat at all. While he had plans to let Ryle take over his position, Nathan was unbothered that Ryle would become a threat to him after that because he had ensured to keep the real powers in his hand.

And once Si Yena gave him a child, hopefully a son, it would not be too late to raise the child into the true master. Till then, Ryle could handle the hurdles and make things smoother for his child.

’’Guards! Are you all dead?" He shouted, in part disbelief and part rage as if he could not accept it at this point but not a leaf moved in the huge mansion, ’’You son of a bitch! How dare you backstab your own father!"

Ryle shot him an indifferent look before pulling Daisy in front of him. His hands gently traced her hands, ’’Are you alright?"

’’I am fine,’’ Daisy patted his palm before pulling the thin mask from her face. Then, she tugged off the wig, letting it drop on the floor.

’’That’s good,’’ A small smile curved on Ryle’s lips.

The servants and butler were all shocked at Daisy’s transformation but they did not dare to make a sound.

’’Daisy Chen, it’s you!’’ Nathan squinted.

Daisy turned to look at him, ’’I would not say it was nice to meet you because it was not, Mr. Kingsley.’’

Nathan had looked into the woman his son was involved with and he knew all that her name entailed. An heiress who inherited her father’s business, involved in certain high profile scandals but that is that.

’’I happen to be good with computers, and that helps with what I want others to know about me, if that helps in clearing your doubts.’’

Daisy’s clear and aloof voice made Nathan rethink all that he had known about the woman. He was indeed contemplating how there was no mention of any other skills in all the information he had gotten about her. She was capable of infiltrating his mansion without him noticing and he was in the dark on that.

’Bang’

In one swift movement, Nathan pulled out a gun, shooting one of the maids nearby who dropped on the floor.

The hall descended in an eerie silence as nobody moved, Nathan’s gun turning to Daisy.

’’It doesn’t really matter at this point. I should have known that my bastard son would always betray his father for bitches! Perhaps ending your life would lessen some of my burden,’’ the man had regained his composure as if nothing was out of his hand.

A small frown appeared between Ryle’s brows as he shifted to pull Daisy behind him but with a ’click’, Nathan tapped on the trigger, warning him with his eyes.

Daisy stood there, unmoved and unaffected.

"You don’t really fear me, do you?" Nathan’s fingers shifted, a second away from pulling the trigger.

’’Men!"

Ryle’s voice had just dropped when every floor of the grand mansion was covered by a trail of black as his people, armed with their weapons surrounded the entire place.

All the guns aimed at Nathan whose fingers trembled momentarily. He could not even see how many people there were because they crowded the entire mansion like troops and he seemed to be the common target of each of them.

But then he burst out in a peal of laughter, ’’What makes you think I would not kill her even at the risk of losing my life?"

Ryle angled his head to the side and a series of ’bang’ sounded. A row of men who stood near the distant pillars shot Nathan together.

The entire right side of his body was riddled with wounds as blood pooled on the floor, the gun in his hand falling at Ryle’s feet.

But not a single bullet pierced into his body. Rather, all seemed to have grazed by his skin, giving him external wounds.

The man grunted in pain as he glared at Ryle like a vicious snake.

Daisy, who had been quiet till this moment spoke up, ’’For a motherfucker who imprisoned his wife, you have the nerve to malign her name."

Ryle looked at Daisy, his eyes glinting in surprise at her choice of words.

Daisy ignored his gaze. After Angel was born, under Diana’s constant nagging, she had worked on her language but when met with scoundrels, one had to resort to a scoundrel’s language at times.

The nerve of this beast to call his dead wife a bitch after tormenting her endlessly.

As if somebody stepped on a nerve of his, the mention of Ryle’s mother made Nathan scowl, ’’That whore...’’

’’Finish your words and see if I shoot your mouth till it is ripped in shreds.’’

To Ryle’s warning, Nathan merely laughed, ’’Since you see me as the bad person here, why don’t I take this chance to enlighten you tonight?"

Daisy stiffened when she saw that look on his face. The memories of all that she had witnessed in that room flashed by her mind as Nathan spoke.

"That whore of a mother of yours had an affair with some rascal. It’s good thing that the little bitch she gave birth to died,’’ Nathan scoffed, ’’I was almost tricked by her into believing that that child was mine.’’

Ryle stood there without a single word.

’’What? You have got no words to defend her now?" Nathan tilted his chin, his eyes gleaming with sarcasm.

’’If she had an affair, it would relieve me to know that she met a better man in her life. As for my sister, I hate to disappoint you but Raelynn is still alive and well.’’
