The Exiled Prince Domination
Chapter 69: The Lost Kingdom
A firm knock sounded on the door.
Lucian, who had just finished reviewing the newspaper, stood up and opened it.
Fishlegs stood outside, slightly out of breath, holding a thick old book under one arm and a rolled-up scroll in the other.
"Come in," Lucian said, stepping aside.
Fishlegs entered excitedly and immediately cleared a space on the table. He unrolled the scroll, a detailed world map and opened his book beside it.
"The lost kingdom of Lumièrea," Fishlegs began, his voice full of scholarly enthusiasm, "was considered nothing more than a rumor by most scholars. But a few reliable sources say it really existed."
He pointed at the large world map. "It was said to be situated on the continent of Aurellion, one of the largest continents in the known world."
Fishlegs flipped through the pages of his book and continued, "Most accounts claim the kingdom was cursed by a powerful witch. The king and his servants were supposedly transformed into monsters. But before the curse, Lumièrea was a prosperous realm with many vassal states and incredible wealth."
Lucian frowned slightly as he absorbed the information. A cursed kingdom filled with monsters... that sounded both dangerous and promising.
Fishlegs suddenly looked up with curiosity. "Why do you want to know about the lost kingdom, Lucian?"
Lucian reached into his satchel and pulled out the old map he had received as a reward from Stoick’s Special Blind Box. He spread it carefully on the table.
"It’s because I have a map leading there," he said. "I want to explore it."
Fishlegs’ eyes went wide as dinner plates. He stared at Lucian’s map, then back at the large world map, then at Lucian’s map again. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"May I borrow some of your things?" he asked eagerly.
"Go on."
Fishlegs grabbed a stick with charcoal at the end, a makeshift pencil and a flat piece of wood to use as a ruler. With surprising speed and precision, he used the coordinates written on Lucian’s map to cross-reference and chart the location onto the bigger world map.
After a few minutes of intense scribbling and measuring, Fishlegs tapped the table triumphantly.
"There!" he declared. "This is the pinpoint location if we look at the big map."
Lucian leaned in, genuinely impressed. A clear "X" now marked the spot on the large map. "That’s cool, Fishlegs."
Fishlegs beamed. "It’s easy when the coordinates are already on the map you gave me!"
Lucian smiled and walked over to his shelves. He picked out a thick, well-bound book filled with detailed illustrations and notes about various dragon species and behaviors. He tossed it to Fishlegs.
"Thanks for the help," Lucian said. "As a thank you, you can read the books I have here before I leave in two days. The books here has detailed information on many dragons."
Fishlegs stared at the book in his hands. His whole body started shivering with pure excitement as he flipped through the pages, eyes sparkling at the detailed drawings and notes.
He suddenly rushed forward and gave Lucian a surprisingly strong bear hug.
"I will totally read this in the next two days! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Fishlegs exclaimed, voice muffled against Lucian’s shoulder.
Lucian chuckled and patted the boy’s back awkwardly. "Just don’t damage them. And make sure to return them before we sail."
Fishlegs pulled back, still clutching the book like a priceless treasure. "I promise! This is the best gift ever!"
As Fishlegs left the house practically floating with joy, Lucian looked back at the two maps on the table, the small one from the Blind Box and the newly marked large world map.
Aurellion Continent.
The Lost Kingdom of Lumièrea.
The adventure was calling.

[A/N: This Chapter turned out a bit shorter than planned, My bad. I didn’t realize it fell short of 1,000 words. I’ve been a bit distracted lately, binging Invincible, which has definitely eaten into my making time.To make up for it, I’ll be posting two Chapters today!]
