The Invincible Strongest Student
Chapter 842: Prey and Hunter
Tang Feng wasn’t upset, he smiled and said, "It’s the procedure. During the first interrogation, we need to clarify basic information. If you want to eat, drink, or use the bathroom earlier, cooperate honestly. Let’s start again. Name?"
"Lin Tian."
Tang Feng looked at Lin Tian playfully and asked, "Gender?"
"Can’t you tell?" Lin Tian rolled his eyes, really wanting to slap this annoying guy!
"Gender?!" He emphasized.
"You blind? Want me to whip it out and show you?"
Tang Feng seemed to deliberately clash with Lin Tian, meticulously inquiring all of Lin Tian’s basic information. It felt like he was conducting a census.
But Lin Tian wasn’t as cooperative as he imagined; after a few questions, Tang Feng was almost infuriated to the point of passing out.
Lin Tian snickered inwardly, "Trying to impress me? Playing psychological tactics? Your brain ain’t up to it!"
Finally, after the basic information was covered, the interrogation’s main topic began.
"Explain the events from beginning to end," Tang Feng said impatiently.
Upon reaching the main topic, Lin Tian also dropped the joking attitude. He succinctly detailed the event’s occurrence to its conclusion.
Tang Feng asked, "Because Huang Shitou spoke ill of your company and stabbed you, you held a grudge and punched Huang Shitou to death."
Lin Tian smirked disdainfully, "Mr. Tang, you’re a police officer, surely you know what self-defense is, right?"
Tang Feng slammed the table, shouting, "Don’t be cheeky!"
Lin Tian was indifferent and continued to smile, "If someone was coming at you with a knife, trying to stab your belly, would you knock him out with a punch? Or hit him lightly like a woman?"
"Answer the question directly!"
"No need for you to answer, just looking at your physique, you seem like one of those lazy folks in the police squad, all flesh and no muscle. If it were you yesterday, you’d probably be a corpse by now."
"I damn well..."
Lin Tian sat on the chair, smiling, "Hey, you’re a people’s police officer, and this is an interrogation. You’re swearing; do you not want to wear that uniform anymore?"
Tang Feng’s face turned white from anger, then red, and then blue.
His hands clenched into fists, making a creaking sound, wishing he could stab Lin Tian right there!
"Don’t glare at me, I’ve been holding in my pee all night. If you scare me, I’ll piss all over you! Don’t doubt my ability; I can definitely do what I say!"
"..."
This was the most exhausting interrogation Tang Feng had ever conducted. He nearly couldn’t resist slapping Lin Tian several times.
In the end, the interrogation ended without any result, Tang Feng didn’t get anything out of it. The little officer next to him only took down a pile of nonsense.
After this absurd interrogation, Lin Tian was taken to a single cell in the prison.
Since there was a lot of attention on Lin Tian, if he were starved too long or his bladder was damaged, he wouldn’t escape responsibility, so he had to let him go temporarily.
However, Lin Tian only received limited food and water—just enough to be half-full—and even with Spiritual Qi added, the food didn’t taste good.
If the prison food was like this every day, all the prisoners would be malnourished.
...
Tang Feng felt a bit dizzy, probably due to low blood sugar from being infuriated by Lin Tian.
"Damn it! Just wait until I get my hands on you!"
Tang Feng wasn’t concerned or worried about the case’s progress because it was evident. Besides Lin Tian, who else would kill that loser?
Once the autopsy report was out, the matter would be settled.
Muttering under his breath, Tang Feng kicked open the office door forcefully; having his own office in the police station, venting anger and kicking doors was normal.
Bam!
The door slammed open with a loud noise, startling the three inside.
"What the hell? Are you insane? What’s your problem?"
The sudden angry shout inside scared Tang Feng. He looked carefully; weren’t these the three young masters?
"Gentlemen, apologies. I didn’t know you were inside." Tang Feng said humbly.
Seated on the sofa were Li Shan, Yue Rong, and Tang Zong from the Tang Family.
"How is Lin Tian now?" Yue Rong asked calmly.
Tang Feng stood three meters away and reported, "I locked up that kid for a day yesterday, didn’t give him food or water. I’ve just finished interrogating him, and now he’s locked up."
"How did the interrogation go?"
"Uh... that kid’s got a sharp tongue; nothing came out of the interrogation."
"Haha, nothing coming out is right because he didn’t do anything."
The speaker was Tang Zong, a bald man in a suit with delicate features resembling a scholar, giving off a very odd vibe.
"What’s that supposed to mean?" Tang Feng was clueless.
Li Shan calmly said, "Listen more, speak less."
"Yes!" Tang Feng immediately responded. Among these three, each one was hard to deal with—Li Shan had a fiery temper, Yue Rong was eerily peculiar, and Tang Zong was a strange character.
What a complicated circle!
"Alright, take us to see him." Tang Zong stood up, dusted off his suit, and then showed a satisfied expression.
He was a man with OCD.
"I hope he’s someone who knows what’s best."
Li Shan and Yue Rong also stood up.
...
Lin Tian’s cell was deeper inside, and this cell, although a four-person room, was occupied only by him.
Moreover, none of the nearby cells had any prisoners, which left Lin Tian puzzled.
There was no one to chat or boast with. Was Tang Feng planning to bore him to death? Until he used his clairvoyant ability and found that the other prisoners were actually in the prison behind him, separated by a thick wall, invisible.
"Step step step..."
Suddenly, Lin Tian heard footsteps approaching.
As a high-level Martial Artist, Lin Tian’s sensitivity was far beyond ordinary people. Listening carefully, he discerned there were four people, including Tang Feng. Looking with his clairvoyant ability, sure enough.
The three walking in front were clearly not ordinary. The sturdy-bodied man walked with steady steps, showing no signs of wear.
The one in the middle, with a strange vibe, walked lightly as if exerting no effort; this should be someone from the Yue Family!
The one on the far side, the bald man in a suit, walked like a normal person, but he felt the most dangerous to Lin Tian!
Suddenly, Li Shan and the three paused in their steps. They felt a strange sensation, as if they were prey being targeted by a hunter.
