Chapter 1579: Chapter 1584: Searching for the Divine Stone

Immortal Wei Huo and Leng Daoqiu descended, bringing Lin Fei into a mountain cave where Yan Qiubo lay on the bed. Upon seeing Lin Fei, he quickly sat up.

"Yan Qiubo, don’t move recklessly." Lin Fei hurried over, grabbed Yan Qiubo’s hand, and his body’s primordial energy flowed into Yan Qiubo’s body. Soon, Yan Qiubo recovered; his condition was evidently due to a lack of primordial energy. As long as he received enough, he could practically heal himself.

"Can you get up?" Lin Fei asked.

Yan Qiubo nodded, "I guess. Lin Fei, you’re still alive, that’s wonderful. But you haven’t encountered those three Great Villains, have you? Be careful; they came to the lower realm seemingly because of you. If they catch you, they’ll probably kill you!"

Lin Fei chuckled, reached out to help Yan Qiubo up, then unexpectedly placed his hand on Yan Qiubo’s head, stroking it. Yan Qiubo was startled by this gesture but then smiled gently.

"Relax, Lin Fei has already killed the three Great Villains, so no more upper realm troublemakers will plague the lower realm," Immortal Wei Huo said.

"Really, Lin Fei?" Yan Qiubo looked utterly shocked, unable to fathom how Lin Fei managed to defeat them. Those villains were formidable, and Lin Fei defeated them—just how strong is Lin Fei now?

"Just luck," Lin Fei chuckled.

"If that’s luck, why haven’t the three of us had such luck in over ten years?" Yan Qiubo teased Lin Fei.

"Junior Brother, where do we go next?" Leng Daoqiu asked.

Lin Fei pondered, "Let’s head to Beidou Sect first. We need to retrieve the Divine Stone. This matter shouldn’t end unresolved; otherwise, it could lead to endless trouble from the Murong Family in the upper realm."

Several nodded in agreement. Lin Fei was right—it must be settled completely to prevent further complications. With their decision made, they set off for Beidou Sect.

On the road, Lin Fei carried Yan Qiubo, but he felt his senior brother Leng Daoqiu behaving oddly. Eventually, Immortal Wei Huo whispered something to Lin Fei that froze him in place...

Yan Qiubo looked at Lin Fei and Immortal Wei Huo, puzzled, "What are you two talking about? Is there some secret you can’t reveal?"

Lin Fei and Immortal Wei Huo laughed awkwardly, quickly shaking their heads to deny Leng Daoqiu’s words.

On the road, Lin Fei carried Yan Qiubo and communicated, "Yan Qiubo, how do you feel about my brother? Do you think it’s possible?"

"His blockhead personality and icy demeanor; being with him would definitely be dull," Yan Qiubo replied.

Lin Fei was dumbfounded, "Then how have you two managed for over ten years?"

"Well... truthfully, he’s quite kind to me..." Yan Qiubo thought about how Leng Daoqiu, despite being cold, treated her well and catered to her every wish, even if he preferred not to talk much.

"I hope you and my brother can be happy in the future." Lin Fei chuckled.

"...Thank you, Lin Fei. But I’m not sure if I’m worthy of him." Yan Qiubo showed a disappointed expression.

"Don’t worry, he knows nothing of your past, nor does my brother pry about such things. Just get along well with him," Lin Fei smiled.

"Hmm, then don’t recall the past anymore, or it’s an insult to your brother," Yan Qiubo sternly said.

Lin Fei nodded, then put down Yan Qiubo, addressing Leng Daoqiu, "Brother, I’ll leave the Immortal to your care. I’ll go search, and if I can’t find it, I’ll have to resort to special means."

Leng Daoqiu was momentarily startled, confused when Yan Qiubo came over, but soon stiffened when she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Dummy, aren’t you going to hold me? I’m struggling here; don’t forget I’m still injured." Yan Qiubo spoke.

Leng Daoqiu’s throat moved at this, then he bent down and hugged Yan Qiubo, though still in a stiff manner. After all, he’d never been so intimately close to a woman before.

Lin Fei watched the two chuckle, then reached Beidou Sect. With a wave of his hand, the ruins of the entire Beidou Sect rose. Lin Fei searched through the debris yet found no trace.

"Are you sure the Divine Stone is here?" Lin Fei asked, puzzled. Why hadn’t he found it? Had someone taken it?

"Indeed, it’s here. I consulted with the Great Elder, who said it fell into the ruins and couldn’t be found, perhaps stuck in a crevice somewhere," Leng Daoqiu commented stiffly, holding the woman who felt as soft as water, finding the sensation peculiar.

Lin Fei nodded and said, "If that’s the case, we’ll have to use unconventional means!" Lin Fei declared, extending his hands, which suddenly grabbed forcefully. The rubble collided immensely until compressed into a massive stone ball, continuously shedding dust.

Lin Fei took a deep breath and shouted, "Merge!"

Boom!

The huge debris compressed under an invisible force, exploding into clouds of dust, and finally forming a house-sized sphere.

At this moment, a ripple emerged from the stone mass—an apparent spatial fluctuation—and then the sphere detonated.

"Cough, cough, cough!" A rapid fit of coughing came from the explosion in mid-air, revealing the somewhat disheveled Dugu Aotian as the smoke cleared, blown aside by the wind.

Dugu Aotian, upon seeing Lin Fei, asked, puzzled, "Lin Fei, your presence feels different; how long has it been now?"

"Twelve years."

"Ah? It’s been twelve years already; no wonder you’ve grown quite strong. But why did you summon me this time?" Dugu Aotian scanned the surroundings, furrowing his brows, seemingly recognizing the former site of Beidou Sect?

"What happened here? Where’s Beidou Sect?" Dugu Aotian asked Lin Fei with a furrowed brow.

Lin Fei recounted the events, prompting Dugu Aotian to rage, "How outrageous! Murong Family dared perpetrate such deeds! Looks like I’ll return to the upper realm and destroy them!"

"Senior Brother, please wait." Lin Fei immediately called out.

"Anything else?" Dugu Aotian turned back to Lin Fei.

Lin Fei said, "Aotian, I want to ask you something—didn’t you say people from the upper realm couldn’t descend anymore? Why did Murong Family manage to have so many come down, and with such low cultivation?"

"Low cultivation?"
