The King of Urban Mercenaries
Chapter 1599 - 1604: Found My Brothers
The cushion might have been used by the Demon Lord for cultivation, and after long-term use, it has changed, giving it this magical ability.
But now Lin Fei already has this cushion. Imagine in future battles, without resentment, he can directly sit on the cushion; wouldn’t that make him invincible?
Thinking of this, Lin Fei couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Then he suppressed his laughter and continued searching for his brothers.
Lin Fei traversed the entire black space but still couldn’t find his brothers. However, at that moment, he suddenly heard a faint voice, "Who is there?!"
Upon hearing this faint voice, it definitely wasn’t the sound that should exist in the silent Abyss. There must be someone here.
After confirming this, Lin Fei looked around and found nothing suspicious, but he didn’t give up. Even though there was no more sound, he didn’t want to give up hope. Just then, he suddenly saw a black line rushing upwards.
"That mouse?"
After seeing that black line, Lin Fei immediately locked onto it, discovering that line was actually the black mouse. Lin Fei immediately gave chase.
"Little Dragon, can you catch it?" Lin Fei asked. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"You want me, a dignified member of the Dragon Clan, to catch a mouse? I’m not a cat!" Little Dragon replied.
"Come on, come on. At worst, I’ll let you out for some fresh air later." Lin Fei coaxed.
"Alright, alright, for the sake of freedom, I’ll just lend my Dragon Claw this once!" With that, a black line shot out from Lin Fei’s eyes, heading towards the other moving black line.
However, at that moment, the black line suddenly rushed towards two human figures on the vines above.
"What? That’s—!" Lin Fei was shocked and immediately rushed in that direction. When he saw the mouse open its mouth wide, about to bite the human figure, Lin Fei shouted, "Little Dragon! Catch it right away!"
"Roger that!"
Little Dragon quickly flew to the side of the black shadow, but the shadow had already bitten the human figure by then.
Crunch!
"Ah!"
The human figure let out a cry of pain, clearly having something bitten off, but the black mouse was caught by Little Dragon’s claws. Little Dragon, as if disdainful of the mouse, used only two claws like pinchers to grab the mouse’s fur and lift it. The little mouse kept squirming and resisting in Little Dragon’s claws.
"Radar?!"
Lin Fei shouted loudly. The two figures were Radar and Xue Zhi, blocked by the vines interweaved above. If it weren’t for the vines, Lin Fei couldn’t imagine whether they would have survived.
At that moment, Xue Zhi hadn’t completely blacked out. Upon seeing Lin Fei, he managed a bitter smile before fainting outright.
Lin Fei quickly lifted both of them up and rushed upwards, with the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon following, stubbornly flying upwards.
Soon, Lin Fei and the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon reached the upper part. Butcher and an already-awakened Gu Mang ran towards Lin Fei.
After checking their breath, Lin Fei found they weren’t dead, but their Dantian seemed to be damaged, putting them in this state.
Moreover, the Demonic Qi below was like poison gas to ordinary people, so it’s not unlikely that inhaling it led to their current weakened condition.
"Boss, how are they?" Butcher asked with concern.
Lin Fei sighed, "They’re okay, but the injuries are severe. It might take at least half a year to recover."
"Hahaha, now they’re like me. Let’s see how they laugh at me for getting injured often," Butcher laughed, but there was no joy in his laughter, only worry.
Lin Fei knew Butcher was struggling too, so he didn’t say much, just used Primordial Energy to heal their injuries.
Time ticked by, yet there was no sign of improvement. Butcher was getting anxious, watching Lin Fei’s composure without any significant change.
He wanted to ask but knew now wasn’t the right time to disturb Lin Fei.
Finally, Lin Fei breathed a sigh of relief.
"Phew! Finally, they’re stabilized. Their injuries can only be prevented from worsening for now." Lin Fei absorbed all the Demonic Qi they inhaled, waiting for their gradual recovery.
At this point, Lin Fei noticed Xue Zhi had lost a finger.
He looked at the mouse clamped by the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon’s claws.
The mouse was still trying to fight Little Dragon, who easily overpowered it. Little Dragon could fly, while the mouse could only hop. It had no chance of catching Little Dragon, who also ensured it couldn’t escape.
Though just a mouse, it was quite cunning, as Little Dragon had already sensed. So, he never let it get too far away.
Seeing Lin Fei approaching, the mouse tried to flee but was caught by its fur and dragged back by Little Dragon.
"Hahaha, and you think you can escape, little mouse? Pure wishful thinking!" Little Dragon said, flinging the mouse in front of Lin Fei.
Lin Fei enveloped it with Heaven and Earth Qi, yet the mouse still attempted to escape. But after Lin Fei used God Demon Binding, the little black mouse was securely trapped within, unable to flee.
"Little Dragon, you’re knowledgeable; do you know what species this is?" Lin Fei inquired, knowing the Golden Dragon might know since it was from the Upper Realm.
Little Dragon stretched lazily, his body like a long whip, "Being stuck in your eye all day is suffocating."
"Oh come on, aren’t you always sneaking looks at my life?" Lin Fei retorted.
"As if I’d want to see your mating rituals! I don’t care. As for this mouse, it’s genuinely not simple. It should also come from the Business World. Though I don’t know how or its identity, it is definitely not ordinary."
"You’re not saying anything useful! All that for nothing. Get back in!" Lin Fei replied, calling Little Dragon back to his eyes.
Then Lin Fei looked at the black mouse before him. "I don’t know what you are, but since you bit my brother, I can’t let you off," he said, reaching out to destroy the mouse.
Unexpectedly, Lin Fei felt a sudden pain in his mind, as if something had entered it. He discovered it was a contract?
"What is this? You want to form a contract with me? With you, a little mouse? Wouldn’t I be losing out? And what if I don’t want to keep a mouse?"
