They chirped and gestured at her, indicating she must eat.

Ruan Jiaojiao felt both sour and bitter in her heart, watching it nod constantly: "Okay, don’t worry, I will definitely eat it."

The leading monkey and its partner looked at her eagerly, then glanced at Duan Xi. Finally, as if sighing, the leading monkey patted its partner’s hand, and its partner looked at Ruan Jiaojiao again before turning away and walking with its hands behind its back. Once the two monkeys left, the other monkeys carrying fruits in their arms came one after another to place fruits in front of Ruan Jiaojiao, and soon, a pile of fruits amassed in front of her.

There were many varieties of fruits, not quite as good as those given by the leading monkey, but still rare and excellent fruits.

Ruan Jiaojiao felt truly warm inside, and several times impulsively wanted to ask them to come with her to Beidu; her zoo in Beidu could definitely accommodate them.

But ultimately, Ruan Jiaojiao didn’t voice her thoughts.

Firstly, this front mountain is much larger than her zoo, and far more free, she couldn’t selfishly ask them to follow her.

Secondly, this front mountain must be their home in their eyes, she could ask the Ruanlin Family to come with them, because she was confident they could accompany her until the end of her days, but for these monkeys, she couldn’t always be with them, how could she ask them to give up everything here to go to Beidu.

The monkeys came suddenly, and left quickly, as if they came just to deliver fruits to Ruan Jiaojiao.

Once all the monkeys disappeared among the branches, Lu Zishu promptly threw away the unbearably bitter apple in his hand, picked up one of Ruan Jiaojiao’s big apples, and took a bite, filling his mouth with fragrant sweetness. Just as he was about to praise how this is the taste suited for humans, he felt a pain on his head. When he looked up, he met the large eyes of a monkey.

The monkey stuck out its tongue at him, made a face, and ran away with its big red rump swaying.

Lu Zishu was somewhat face blind about monkeys, so he couldn’t tell if this was the monkey that forced him to eat the apple earlier, but intuitively he felt it was.

But this didn’t stop him from being angry, feeling that these monkeys were really annoying!

"Lu Zishu, does that monkey have a grudge against you?" Ruan Lei deliberately teased with a laugh, picking up an apple, wiping it on his shirt twice and taking a bite.

"I think it finds him ugly." Yu Rou said, picking up a peach. The peach was a juicy one, ripe just right, she gently peeled off the skin, took a bite, her eyes instantly lit up, and she said to Ruan Jiaojiao: "Jiaojiao, this is really delicious, so fragrant and sweet!"

Everyone followed suit, picking fruit from the ground and starting to eat.

Ruan Jiaojiao nodded proudly: "Of course, when I lived here before, I didn’t need to buy fruits for myself, the animals from the front mountain always brought them to me."

"Really?" Yu Rou widened her eyes in disbelief.

Ruan Jiaojiao just smiled mysteriously, choosing not to reveal more.

The monkeys delivered many fruits, but fortunately, there were many of them, each could carry a handful back, and thus, after going out for a stroll, they had gathered plenty of fruits to take back.

Ruan Jiaojiao feared leading at the front, being seen; not because it was hard to explain, but because she was afraid of having to share them away. These fruits were specially delivered to her by the monkeys, she really couldn’t bear to share them with the other members of the team.

So the group walked the path behind the house, sticking to the path alongside the back mountain.
