Jiaojiao glanced at the shop assistant standing in front of her, who happened to be Zhou Yun. She withdrew her hand and shook her head, saying, "It’s nothing, just browsing."

Jiaojiao didn’t really know how to describe her own incredible luck.

Since coming to Beidu, she could count on one hand the number of times she went shopping, yet each time she ran into Zhou Yun. It was confusing how Zhou Yun was everywhere she went.

Li Yaoyao and the others didn’t know Zhou Yun and didn’t pay her much attention. Li Yaoyao glanced at the long coat Jiaojiao had touched and joked with a smile, "You said you weren’t interested in buying clothes for yourself; turns out you came to pick something for your brother Duan."

"This coat has a nice style. Duan Xi has a good physique, it would look good on him," Liang Wenjing said softly as she looked over the coat and felt the fabric.

This time, however, Zhou Yun didn’t say they couldn’t touch the clothes casually. She stood awkwardly in place, feeling inexplicably humiliated as she was just a shop assistant while Jiaojiao was the customer.

Jiaojiao wasn’t aware of Zhou Yun’s messy thoughts. She liked the style of the coat herself, but Zhou Yun’s previous words had made her uncomfortable, so instead of asking her to get it, she beckoned to another shop assistant at the cashier and said, "Excuse me, could you get this coat in a size 190 for me to look at?"

This shop assistant had been at the store longer than Zhou Yun and had a better eye for customers. Jiaojiao seemed to be dressed plainly, but the watch on her wrist alone was worth six figures – definitely not someone short on money.

The assistant had initially regretted Zhou Yun getting to such a customer first, but seeing Jiaojiao call her over, she came promptly, enthusiastically introducing the coat to Jiaojiao, from the fabric to the style to the designer, chatting gleefully.

"Also, we’re having a store celebration event with 20% off, so it’s quite a bit cheaper."

Jiaojiao glanced at the price tag; the five-figure coat was indeed significantly cheaper with the discount.

Thinking of how hard Duan Xi had been working lately, Jiaojiao said, "Please wrap it up for me."

The original price of the coat was 12,800 yuan; 20% off brought the price down a bit over 10,000 yuan, and because the discounted price sounded odd, the assistant even rounded it down.

The shop assistant’s smile never faded as Jiaojiao paid.

The store catered to high-end customers, and the coat Jiaojiao bought was the most expensive piece there. The assistant’s commission was 3%, equivalent to her monthly salary, so how could she not be happy?

Zhou Yun watched the whole process from the sidelines, especially when she saw Jiaojiao paying so easily, her face turned even more sour.

After the four of them left the store, Liang Wenjing thought of Zhou Yun’s unpleasant expression and asked Jiaojiao in confusion, "Do you know that other shop assistant?"

"Not really. We’ve only met a few times." Jiaojiao didn’t hide it and recounted her few chance encounters with Zhou Yun.
