Ruan Jiaojiao, having grown up, rarely did housework. At most, she would help the Ruanlin Family pick out vegetables in the kitchen. Things like mopping floors and wiping tables were never tasks she needed to do, as her many brothers at home were available for her to direct. Later, when living with Duan Xi at Hengya, Ruan Hao also lived there, and they would often hire hourly workers for cleaning, or Duan Xi would tidy up, anyhow it was never her turn.

Now, holding a bucket, rag, mop and other tools, she had plenty of energy for cleaning.

"Wow, Little One, you’re way too rich! Did you really buy this? The whole building?" When Ruan Jiaojiao opened the door below to let the three of them in, Li Que exclaimed exaggeratedly.

Ruan Jiaojiao smiled modestly, "It’s alright, it’s alright." Actually, she was quite happy inside, as this sort of future where she just collects rent as a life of leisure had always been what she longed for.

She owns quite a few properties now; when she got engaged, Mr. Shu gave a villa, Ruan Jianguo gifted a villa, Duan Qianyang offered a villa, plus the two villas she already had, totaling five villas, along with the duplex at Hengya and the apartment near Yuansu First Middle School, all of which are under her name.

Including the existing two buildings, she truly was a genuine landlord now.

"You, woman, are really making people envious and jealous with a bit of hatred." Watching Ruan Jiaojiao smile, Li Que playfully bumped her shoulder.

"No need to be envious! If you ever want to rent, look me up, I’ll give you a discount and make it cheaper." Ruan Jiaojiao, bumped, leaned against the wall on the side, laughingly said.

The two climbed the stairs, bantering all the way, with Liang Wenjing and Cao Qiu quiet just listening to their playful chatter, a smile flickering in their eyes. They both knew that if they asked to rent her place, Ruan Jiaojiao indeed might not charge them, as they understood her nature well over the past three-plus years.

She has a good temperament, is kind, and if you treat her well, she’ll repay you doubly well, but don’t think this makes her easy to bully. Her sharp tongue, when she starts with it, often frustrates people to no end. She’s quite fierce.

Though up till now, she’s only mouthed off at people, never needing to further intervene, as that bunch of brothers aren’t there just for show.

And the four of them, over these three years, have been getting along quite harmoniously, virtually never quarreling.

Li Que is bold and straightforward, arguing with her might as well be fighting physically; Liang Wenjing is gentle, speaking in a soft voice, also because of her relationship with Ruan Feng, she treated Ruan Jiaojiao almost like her little sister over these years; and Cao Qiu, although from a poorer background, was diligent and hardworking, without vanity. She wouldn’t take advantage just because Ruan Jiaojiao’s family was well-off, nor would she misinterpret the occasional kind help from the three of them, so their relations have been particularly good over these years.

This time, as soon as Duan Xi went out, Ruan Jiaojiao returned to the dormitory, saying she wanted their help to clean the company. The three agreed without a word.
