"..."

Conan speechlessly looked ahead of him, once again reminded of exactly how strong Adrian was.

And Adrian wasn’t even the one fighting.

Before him were the two clones Adrian had used during the hunt, the bull-like one and the one that looked completely human.

The clones were currently engaging multiple stone knights, each at A-Rank, and they were taking them down with little difficulty.

The two clones worked as a unit, with the one that looked like a human using black strings that were surprisingly effective at restraining the stone knights.

Conan felt as if the bull-like clone was a copy of him; after all, it was also capable of using multiple elements.

The two B-Rank clones had been enough to handle five A-Rank Stone knights, and Adrian didn’t have to move a single muscle.

"That was faster than I expected," Adrian, standing beside Conan, said as he looked at the last stone knight get crushed by an increased gravity.

The clones then sank back into the floor, and Adrian’s extended shadow returned to its normal size.

Adrian then walked towards the stone door, and Conan, without saying anything, or rather, without anything to say, followed behind him.

Again, they disappeared from the fifth floor and reappeared on the sixth and final floor, but unlike the previous floors, this one was quite different.

"Sky?" Conan looked up in confusion, noticing that they were blanketed by a dull grey sky, one that seemed as if it had been drained of color

Surrounding them was a large open field with destroyed stone architecture scattered all around.

"Are we still in the dungeon?" He couldn’t help but ask, after all, what he expected was a chamber that was larger than the ones on the previous floors and a stronger Stone Knight, no, this.

"We are," Adrian answered as he looked ahead of them, "this is the sixth floor."

Conan followed his gaze and realized that all the rubble around them was moving towards a certain direction.

As with all the other floors, the rocks started stacking on each other, soon forming a proper golem.

It was a lot larger than the knights on the previous floors, but it still didn’t make sense that it had an entire world dedicated to only it.

But Conan soon learnt why this floor was built this way when a screech came not from the golem but directly above them, and the next second,

BOOM!

Something large slammed into the spot where they had previously stood; fortunately, the two had managed to react in time to avoid being crushed.

He then looked towards their attacker and realized that it was a bird... made completely of stone.

It was massive, easily the size of a house, with wings that blotted out the already colorless sky when they spread.

And it wasn’t alone.

Two more descended from the grey above, circling like vultures over the two.

The ground then started rumbling as more golems rose, and as if that wasn’t enough, a stone knight had also been formed.

Conan watched all this with a blank expression as he finally understood why the last floor was so huge.

How the hell were the representatives supposed to clear this floor?

Even those at A-Rank would find it impossible, especially given that all the stone monsters here were also at A-Rank.

And to think he had been confident enough to try and clear it alone.

Speaking of which, Conan turned towards Adrian only to realize that there wasn’t a single change in the Butler’s expression

It was almost as if he already expected this...which wouldn’t be surprised if he did.

"I’ll —" Conan started, but was interrupted by Adrian.

"It’s fine," the butler said, "I can handle them."

With that, he stepped forward, his shadow stretching outward beneath his feet.

From it, all eight of his clones rose. Yet even with nine of them standing together, they still looked hopelessly outnumbered and probably outmatched, too.

At first glance, anyway.

Noctis hopped into Conan’s hand, which surprised him, but the cat had quickly gotten comfortable, so he just sat on the remaining rubble and prepared to watch the clash.

Adrian looked at the stone beasts before him, each of different forms, ranging from the stone knights to golems and even flying stone beasts.

There were a lot of them, but it wasn’t as if that mattered anyway.

Especially since Adrian’s shadow continued to extend outward, covering the ground beneath the creatures.

Creating a [Shadow Domain].

[Shadow Domain] wasn’t an actual skill; it was just Adrian extending his Shadow as much as he could, creating something akin to a domain.

The interesting part was that, within that domain, he could manipulate anything and everything coated by his shadows.

The stone creatures looked down at the shadows beneath their feet, and since they sensed no immediate danger from it, they turned towards Adrian.

The next second, they made their moves, and so did Adrian’s clones.

The first clone dissolved into the shadows beneath, and in the next second, it lunged at the stone knight that was at the lead of the horde.

The stone knight struggled as the clone latched onto it, but it was all for naught; after all, there was no way it could get it off.

After a few more moments of struggling, the stone knight went completely still; its skin had gone from grey to black.

A result of [Shadow Possession].

The clone, in the stone knight’s body, turned toward the nearest stone knight, and without warning, it lifted its hammer and slammed it into the advancing stone knight’s head, ripping it cleanly off.

"Oh," Conan muttered from the rubble as he watched the effects of [Shadow Possession] since this was his first time witnessing it.

He finally understood why Adrian hadn’t been so worried. After all, he had the skill to turn the enemies into his soldiers.

The other clones also proceeded to use [Shadow Possession] on the closest stone creature they could reach.

Meanwhile, the two clones that already had a body were busy taking down the other stone knights.

Especially the one possessing Marion’s body, its strings were surprisingly effective against them.

Soon enough, the battle had been completely reversed, as the clones possessing the stone creatures attacked.

Adrian didn’t have to lift a single finger, or even move from where he was standing, and before long, the battle was over.

Conan looked at him with a blank expression for a while. After all, he had expected this to be an actual battle, but Adrian had made it seem so underwhelming.

With a sigh, he stood up and muttered, "I guess we’re done with this floor."

"No," Adrian shook his head as he looked around before adding, "we still have to find the magic tools hidden here."
