The Last King Of Darkness
Chapter 1751 - 807: Hope Amid Despair (Part 2)
More importantly, he must quickly gather the Dream Fragments.
Now, unless some special circumstance arises, nothing should stop him from collecting the Dream Fragments.
If all goes well, the Dream Realm is about to experience a rapid restoration.
Once the aftermath is settled, I’ll set out to find the Fragments.
Rod thought.
With a firm resolve, he approached the "Heavenly Sphere Clock," gently touching its surface, causing the unusual sphere to begin spinning.
Moments later, the sphere stopped, and a new vision appeared on its surface — a desolate desert shrouded in thick Black Fog, obscuring the surrounding details.
But it didn’t matter; the "Heavenly Sphere Clock" would imprint the coordinates into his mind. After calculating for a moment, Rod unexpectedly found it should be deeper within the Dark Great Plain.
"There shouldn’t be anything unusual."
Rod thought, firmly memorizing its coordinates, then leaving the Dream Realm.
With the fall of the Human Demon, the eerie catastrophe was finally over, but the situation hadn’t improved; Trolian had suffered severe impact across various regions, from the Human Demon Tomb to Trolian Royal City in a straight line, almost completely devastated.
Olivia and others brought some grim news; the damage and losses across the regions were larger than imagined.
The Royal City was also heavily impacted, with several sections of the city wall utterly wrecked. Professional scholars assessed it as extremely difficult to repair.
Surprisingly, within the wall’s fractures, they discovered a large number of Giant bones, eerily white, embedded at the wall’s center, becoming part of the structure.
After investigation, Professor Barrett discovered these Giant bones were not for burial but a method to reinforce the wall. Their bones were arranged in a specific way to support the wall’s special structure, allowing the city wall to have such high Strength.
"We are fully researching this special structure."
Professor Barrett said.
"If we can understand its principles, we can create even stronger War Magic Statues."
Rod concurred, promising to provide all the help needed for the project.
Currently, most of Trolian’s affairs are decided by him.
The King remains in a coma, and both Horus and Kai have fallen; in the Royal City, only he remains as a True King.
Though they achieved Victory over the eerie catastrophe and successfully avoided Destruction, the cost was unimaginable.
Furthermore, Iyeta from the White Tower had already observed that, with the King’s barrier gone, pollution from the Starry Sky was accelerating, and the concentration of Black Fog was rapidly increasing.
The post-war recovery in Trolian must be completed swiftly.
Everyone devoted tremendous energy, fully focused on recovering the war losses.
The Star Marrow Altar was almost immediately activated, once again shielding the territory of Trolian.
And regions outside the shielded area could only be abandoned.
Despite the pity, these abandoned regions included extensive heavy resource areas, such as the former lands of Saint Reel and Taranor, and large expanses in between. Before the eerie catastrophe, Trolian had occupied half of the Gray Soil Continent.
After relinquishing these areas, Trolian reverted once again to a secluded Fire Kingdom.
However, no one despaired, as Rod’s human-centric theory had rooted deeply; they believed that as long as people remained, these occupied areas would eventually be reclaimed.
While Trolian encountered some setbacks, it would ultimately stand up again.
The most crucial aspect is that despite abandoning the occupied zones, Trolian had already extracted a vast amount of resources, particularly from Saint Reel and Taranor.
As long as these resources are digested, they are sufficient to elevate Trolian’s combat power by two tiers.
Rod also informed everyone of their significant gains in the Human Demon Tomb, including significant amounts of Divine Blood containing four types of Element, the core Divine Stone from the Ascension Ceremony, and the vital carriers, Divine Source Material.
According to the previous experiences, these resources are sufficient for Trolian to birth multiple True Kings.
Because of this, their abandonment is only temporary, and after a brief dormancy, Trolian is destined to soar.
However, amidst this thrilling future, some unsettling news emerged.
After a day and night of Healing, Soul Master Priscilla specifically came to inform Rod that the King’s situation was worse than expected; his soul suffered intense distortion and erosion, still remaining unawakened.
"The damage from distortion is extremely profound, almost reaching every Element composing the soul. If Lord Horus were here, there might be a way to heal, but we cannot achieve such deep soul healing without that level of precision."
Priscilla’s words were filled with deep regret.
This also reminded Rod of another merit of Horus. After becoming the King of Bright Light, he had almost cured everyone seriously injured or severely corrupted in the Royal City, and since then, no one in Trolian was seriously injured or died from severe injuries, except for those who tragically died in battle.
A Soul Master asked, "What about Lord Tai Luo?"
Rod replied, "It seems due to hastily receiving such immense power, Tai Luo remains in a coma, though his condition is stable; the Light Grains show no signs of rejection or loss of control. On the contrary, they and Tai Luo’s soul are exceedingly close, like water to fish."
