The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast
Chapter 1758: Still Have Time for Love Talk
As soon as the Queen Flower Lady pushed open the door, she felt a gust of wind slip in ahead of her. Slightly taken aback, she didn’t think much of it, scratched her head, and was about to close the door and go in when a small hand grabbed the door. She looked down and saw it was Little Taotie.
"Sis, a Ghost just followed him in. I’m here to confirm it."
Hearing that, the Queen Flower Lady shivered.
She knew what Little Taotie was capable of, and she was well aware the kid wouldn’t be mistaken.
At that moment, the man on the bed let out a cry of pain, his hands twitching.
The cry drew a crowd of people over.
The Queen Flower Lady jumped in fright. "What the hell is going on!"
The man’s gaze was unfocused, his mouth mumbling who knew what, his brows knotted tight, looking like he was in agonizing pain. Suddenly, under everyone’s horrified stare, he actually wrapped his own hands around his neck and started strangling himself!
But in the eyes that could see Different Pupils, what appeared was a woman with blood running down her forehead, hair hanging loose, dark circles under her eyes, and a strange smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.
Hua Jinyan carried pen and paper with him; he quickly sketched the woman’s face.
Little Taotie stretched out a hand, grabbed the Ghost by its tangled hair, and dragged it backward with one hard yank.
The Ghost that had been controlling the man to strangle himself suddenly gaped its mouth wide, pupils going pitch-black, its full set of teeth sharpening into needle-like fangs as it lunged at Little Taotie to bite her.
Hua Jinyan handed the drawing to the Queen Flower Lady and asked, "Do you know her?"
The Queen Flower Lady trembled. "It’s her!"
The person in the drawing was her best friend—the one who’d tried to drug her, wanted to turn her into a man, claimed to love her yet tried to harm her!
The one who’d deliberately caused a misunderstanding between her and her boyfriend, leading to their breakup!
"You’re not allowed to hurt him anymore!" The Queen Flower Lady pounced forward, using her body to shield her ex-boyfriend. She glared toward the empty air where Little Taotie was grabbing and shouted, "I don’t like you, and I’ve never wanted to become a man! Even if your drug had worked, I still wouldn’t have done anything with you! I don’t know why you turned into a Ghost, but I heard everything you said to your mother. I know it was you who deliberately sabotaged my relationship with my boyfriend. I won’t forgive you, and I’ll never see you again!"
That furious outburst was like dumping out all the suffocating frustration in her heart in one go.
The Queen Flower Lady held her ex-boyfriend tightly, and his body would jerk every now and then, icy cold to the touch. She pressed close to his ear. "Don’t let anything happen to you. I know I misunderstood you, I shouldn’t have doubted you. Can we get back together? From now on you’re not allowed to leave—I’ll be your legs. Wherever you want to go, I’ll carry you there. I’ll never doubt you again, never misunderstand you again. Don’t lose yourself, wake up..."
Her soft murmurs were like a faint light in the darkness, illuminating the man’s lost soul. He returned to himself, those hollow eyes gradually clearing.
He rasped, "You... got fatter. So heavy."
Because he was lying flat, and with the Queen Flower Lady hugging him, it basically meant she was lying on top of him, her whole weight pressing down on him.
The Queen Flower Lady: "..."
Tears shimmered in her eyes, but they were laced with a smile and a hint of mock anger. She wanted to scold him, yet couldn’t bear to, so she could only glare at him.
"I just heard you say... you want to get back together?" the man asked.
The Queen Flower Lady pursed her lips, a bit nervous. "Will you forgive me and take me back?"
"You two still have time to flirt?" a colleague on the side complained.
Only then did the Queen Flower Lady snap back to her senses and look over. She couldn’t see the Ghost, but she could see Little Taotie and several other colleagues apparently fighting it.
The scene was actually kind of comical—a bunch of people ganging up on something invisible, attacking from all sides. Someone was throwing punches (Little Taotie), someone was chanting spells, someone was tossing Talismans, someone was smashing with Magic Artifacts, someone was blasting it with a purple UV lamp...
